Not always true... sometimes you find a man with no self worth who for the first time feels valuable when he makes you happy. It’s great for a time, but eventually you get sick of him looking at you for approval all the time. And if he ever fails to make you happy, then it becomes a drama trip and you feel like you have to coddle him like his goddamn mother. Life Cycle on these relationships is about 6 months, but it’s not a bad gig until something better comes along.

I sort of resent the notion that a man can MAKE me do anything, even be happy. That said, he damn well better be trying his best to!

I don’t know the original context of the graph, but the Title of the OP isn’t referring to circumstantial fertility. Otherwise it’s basically calling men infertile because their wives are infertile, which is just dumb. And, again, by that measure men are more fertile at 44 than they are at 19, so even by that measure it isn’t much of a wall and runs counter to the point. It’s just a bad conclusion and title for the data, and I’m a bit of a stickler on data and graphs.

That's not how biology works. You can't just change the definition of fertility to better support your point. Fertility is the ability to produce offspring with a fertile, healthy partner. Whether or not they can get a fertile, healthy partner is an entirely separate issue altogether. The potential IS the reality when something is literally defined as potential.

The anal retentive part of me has to point out that this chart has nothing to do with fertility. It shows how many kids men are actually fathering, but shows nothing about their ABILITY to father kids. According to this chart (if it were indeed about fertility), men are just as fertile at 44 as they are at 19... I doubt that’s true.

lol, reading through the sub, it’s like they all replaced stroking their peeps with stroking their ego. A lot of the posts are so masturbatory, they shouldn’t be allowed on “nofap.”

I’m not gonna bash anyone for how often they masturbate, as long as they are doing it at home and not beside me on the bus.

Well, they would on that sub maybe, but Reddit at large would do some maaaaajor slut-shaming and worse for any woman who had a dick-tionary.

You’re right, I don’t know your situation, and I suck at getting jokes on the internet. I shouldn’t have generalized. My apologies... homie.

Maybe it is partially to blame, but the American Education System didn’t pick your major and it didn’t sign the loan papers. It’s possible to get a degree that gets you a job and doesn’t drown you in loan debt. Current Ed System sucks, but that doesn’t mean people shouldn’t be accountable for their decisions.

You’re not exactly wrong but I do think that’s been changing a lot over the past several years. “Boys will be boys” just doesn’t seem to fly near as much anymore. And boys don’t get passes like this from good mothers.

Thankfully he only likes to torture small animals, and none of the death threats he’s made seemed very serious.

I think hateful rhetoric sucks no matter which side it comes from. I have 2 daughters and a son... I don’t think my boy is worthless depraved or hateful. I’m sure I’m not the only mom here.

I totally understand, that’s how I felt in my early-mid 20s. I thought I had standards and was looking for the right men, but looking back I needed higher standards. For some reason I felt like I owed it to any guy to give them a chance, and a lot of them turned out exactly how I should’ve expected it. So the problem is and isn’t you. You’re not awful. But you are going after the wrong men and settling for losers.

I kind of hope this turns out to be true and my hubby “hits the wall” pretty soon, because I feel like I already did after kid #2, and kid #3 was the final nail in the coffin. Aside from a little thinning up top, he still looks pretty close to what he did when we started dating at 26... and he does next to NOTHING to keep it up. He eats pretty well and gets 7+ hours of sleep, that’s about it. I feel like I look every bit of my age :( despite spending a lot more effort on hygiene and exercise.

Yeah but you will always have the education. As far as job prospects and student loans, whose fault is that?

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
