The "Boys Summer Camp" is probably the two expansions for Modern Warfare 2. I understand it seems sexist, but instead of looking at it for equality (equal facetime to both sides), look at it for fairness (rational sensible advertising). Now, I don't know about your town or your library - but when I was a kid, I never went the library, and now - I still don't. You know who does? Some of my female co-workers... and I think I recall some of my female classmates using the library in school. Anyway, …

Okay, well i know this has gone on too long at this point, but I've reached a general conclusion on this. So, if you were actually interested in the conversation, here's my stance: I don't believe that portrayals of things which happen represent bigotry. I understand that will probably be a statement that we will not agree upon. But I think we will agree on this: I do understand how these portrayals can engender bigotry in others. ... but I don't know how to solve that. The issue is that I belie…

What would you call it? Racist comparisons in a misogyny vs. misandry conversation... I think that would be a strawman argument? I doubt anyone is reading the tree out this far, but if you are, am I wrong?

The race card pollutes the comparison, so if I may change your post: Is this misandrist: "Two guys are sitting around talking about how much they love raping women. <insert conversation here>" I feel this is a better comparison because like this example, any such conversation would likely be fictional. But there is a decent potential that it does happen, and just as men should be informed that there are women who only want them for their money, women should be informed there are men who just -lo…

How is it misogynistic? I'm not trying to be a dick, I'm just genuinely curious. Wouldn't misogynistic mean it's trying to put down women? If anything it's a potentially fictional misandrist conversation. Is posting a fictional misandrist conversation on the internet misogynistic? In that it may create contempt for women, perhaps. But really it would only be idiots who have that reaction. At its best it generates a conversation between a couple so that they both know where the stance is on the s…

First off! I cannot possibly be okay with a situation wherein someone believes that since they got married, they don't need to work. Secondly, having kids is a significant expense. So I really don't get the assumption that this man is just a money fountain. She should be doing her part in the "relationship" and working as well, assuming some of the stress of dealing with this financial burden.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
