Honestly I wouldn't be completely opposed to removing witnesses as evidence. I don't see how it's possible to prove beyond a reasonable doubt that someone is guilty on witness testimony alone. You should need better evidence than testimony and if you don't have it then you shouldn't convict. It's innocent until proven guilty and testimony just doesn't cut it for proof. I would prefer a system that lets 100 guilty go if it keeps 1 innocent person out of jail.

Ok so wait. Your work is 95% male / 5% female but your bathrooms are either "female exclusive" or "anybody free-for-all"? How many female exclusive bathrooms are there? If it's a 1:1 ratio for the bathrooms how does that make any sense they would have an exclusive bathroom for just 5% of the workers?

I live in California and I know we have them here. Not everywhere but still fairly common. It isn't mandated by law though but I'm not sure if it's mandated for women's restrooms either.

Now someone correct me if I'm wrong but I'm pretty sure the feminist response to that is that women are interested but feel that the social climate revolving around those fields is too hostile to them so they don't try. I don't personally know how to prove or disprove that argument nor do I agree with it but I'm pretty sure that's what they would say.

He notified his tumblr followers that the survey was falsified but there was no apology or anything along those lines. Just a two sentence "turns out that survey I shared was wrong, oh well". I mean it's better than not saying anything but I'm severely disappointed in him. I used to be a fan but like JayFTL there my opinion of Wil has definitely been flipped.

I agree that outlawing guns wouldn't change the morals of the owners but what I mean is the only people who wouldn't turn in their guns are the criminals. I don't currently own a gun but outlawing guns would not make me feel safer in any fashion and if anything it would make me feel less safe since I know there are still lots of illegal firearms out there which would still be used in crimes.

In my personal experience with schooling every single fight that occurred during my high school years was girl on girl. There was not one single publicly known fight between boys. I understand this is just anecdotal evidence and doesn't really count for much but in my mind it goes to show that there should be some doubt cast on these stereotypical ideas of girls are behaved and boys are not.

Well that's the thing is that I don't feel violated. My problem is that we are made to think by the comments on posts like this that there's something wrong with us for not feeling violated and mistreated. I was referring more to the comments than the post. I understand the issue is about consent and not forcing it on future generations and I understand that without needing to have people tell me how bad circumcisions are or that it's my parents' fault for giving me one or other comments like that. Comments like this one where we're told that our parents tortured us are just not needed.

As someone who is circumcised, I don't know what to think anymore. I don't even know why I was circumcised in the first place but besides that I didn't even know there was an issue about it until coming to this sub. To me having a foreskin seems weird and I don't really want one but based on popular opinion it seems like not having one is like only having one arm or missing toes/fingers or something. Maybe in some alternate reality the Cuban Missile Crisis wasn't defused and actually resulted in M.A.D. In this other world most of the people died and those few who survived had to push past their petty differences to survive resulting in a world where everyone was equal and discrimination based on gender or race is non-existent. There would still be discrimination against those of other tribes of course but it would be because they were unknowns rather than their appearance.

I was going to upvote you all the way until I read that final paragraph. I still do things like hold doors but I don't do it because I think there's different spheres. I believe he's saying that based on the post. In the report that OP has cited in his email to the CDC it showed that 1.1% of woman reported being raped in the last 12 months and 1.1% of men reported being forced to penetrate in the last 12 months which would make equal numbers should being forced to penetrate be brought under the rape definition.

I know that in some places there's laws that tell you that you have to use the land for something for example if you buy a piece of land zoned for commercial use you aren't allowed to build a residence and you also aren't allowed to keep it as an empty lot.
