I'd say go for it. Just keep in mind if you travel or work long hours you will need to make arrangements for care. I'd probably get a shelter dog, or better yet a non puppy. If you do get a puppy, expect to have your favorite shoes chewed, furniture and flooring damaged and your orderly home turned upside down.

Exactly. Better short term pain now and move on than a lifetime of misery.

Sorry dude, but you can't simp your way into winning her back. She didn't respect you when she was unfaithful, and she sure doesn't now. It's over, the best thing you can do for yourself is move on. Get a prescription for anti depressants or anxiety if you need it and talk to someone.

Tell them if they love her so much they are free to marry her, you do what's right for you and your children.

That's awesome bro. Cheers to all the decent hardworking dads just trying to make a better life for themselves and the kids.

Agree 1000%. Do not let her know you are on to her until all your ducks are in a row. Lawyer up immediately and plan your exit advantageously and strategically. The only thing confrontation will do is allow her time to prepare. Lawyer up today. I cannot stress this enough.

Hang in there brother. I was a hot mess for a couple years after my separation/ divorce. Just try and not get too crazed. It does get easier. Learn to love yourself again.

Age of children? Length of marriage?

In my experience the quicker you are living separately, the sooner you can begin to move on and heal. Staying under the same roof and playing house just complicates things. The first night alone will be horrible, but you'll get through it. Tell your kids how much you love them and what they mean to you often. Hopefully mediation works out.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
