Not relationship related but I was just talking to my new(ish) therapist during my appointment yesterday about how I struggle with rumination from a bad job experience that I had. She asked how often I think about the old job and how long ago I worked there. She was surprised when I told her the job was 7 years ago and I think about it almost everyday. Now we’re going to work on strengthening my neuroplasticity to where I’m no longer having frequent perseverations and stuck in ruminations. It tu…

Damn. It might be his own family telling him to take her back. I just read his post history and 2 months ago he said even though his finances were dramatically impacted by the divorce, his family is still asking him for money. Maybe they think if he got back with her his finances would go back to how they used to be, if he used to support them financially more.

Check out some of the posts on this sub: r/ForeverAloneWomen When I see guys like you who seem to truly think they will never find a match, it makes me think that there are women out there that also think that. It's a different mindset than when men or women are temporarily down in the dumps and temporarily struggling to find anyone to connect with romantically (as in not getting any dates at all versus being able to get dates, even if those dates don't end up being the right connection). I don'…

I know that some people are more popular on the apps and will get the higher amounts of matches. But I'm shocked to hear you don't receive any matches at all after several years. I can't imagine why that would be.

Have you asked any of your friends to take a look at your Hinge profile? Can you ask them if they think the photos and prompt answers you're using are good choices?

Not trying to derail the topic, but your post and this comment about shame (and all the other comments) exactly mirror a high turn over rate job experience I had. DARVO type behaviors and people are scary. The mind games are incredible. I’ve never felt like that before or again since in my entire life. People who don’t understand, can’t even begin to see the tip of the psychological iceberg you’re dealing with.

You were “the call” for him. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=QbEcl1OCN6E Today was gonna be the day He'd already wrote the note And parked that Chevrolet At the end of that dead end road Had his finger on the trigger Just about to end everything He was taking one last long breath When he heard his cellphone ring And his best friend said, "Man, where you've been? We're heading down to the lake this weekend You better not miss it 'cause buddy I swear It won't be the same if you ain't there And I tol…

Lazy SAHMs ruin the reputation for the women who take it seriously. My ex-fiancé’s dad was C-suite and credited his success to his wife holding down the fort so successfully at home and that allowed him to excel so much in his career while having a happy home life. My ex-fiancé was a high earner and said I could be a SAHM if I wanted. His mom also casually told me I could be a SAHM several times. He was very proud of me and supported me furthering my education, so that wasn’t the reasoning, but …

💯Nail on the head. Due to how fresh the divorce wounds may be for some in this sub, to a point, I get it when everything is so raw and painful. But if they maintain that viewpoint forever they’re doing themselves the disservice of ever finding one of the decent women out there. I’ve been fortunate to never experience a bad relationship (weren’t all perfect but never toxic). But I had one bad job experience where I wasn’t being treated fairly. In hindset I realized that it’s up to me to set bound…

Thank you for this comment. I spend a lot of time in subs I’m not the demographic for. I understand a lot of people come to this sub when they’re rightfully-so jaded and in a negative mindset post divorce. But I hope they have more positive experiences in their future to change their viewpoints. I’m the last person some would want to hear from here. But as a now out lesbian, I can still appreciate and reflect on that I’ve had the privilege of dating some good guys in my past. I also have an extr…
