OK! Sadly, I don't see us coming to any kind of consensus, MattyAnon. Good luck to you!

My point is that your assertions are automatically invalidated by the haphazard selection of an extremely unrealistic percentage. It's impossible to predict and then quantify the behavior of such a large population (women). How can one possibly believe that 99.9% of women have similar tendencies? On what basis? Sadly, the majority of stories written on this forum have been cherrypicked by those who may be (most likely are) biased. In my opinion, you're better off using words (most, a lot, the ma…

Intriguing... I will consider this and get back to you. My first suggestion is to refrain from fabricating statistics (99.9%?) to promote your cause. This type of reasoning is nonsensical and actually shows a lack of logical thinking and an inability to make clear judgements based on reality.

I'm not upset with you, MattyAnon, but every time you respond to my post, it is riddled with inaccuracies and misunderstandings, which is part of the reason I don't attempt to refute your claims. I'm extremely analytical, so if you're going to argue with me, please come to the table with accurate facts/information. I didn't say that I was the ONLY woman who is different from others. Also, you're right, there is not much I can do to help all of you; I was simply trying to be supportive of some me…

I definitely wasn't a clerk, stonepimpletillists; however, I think all veterans (including clerks!) should be recognized for their service. I'm guessing the military would not function as smoothly without them. BTW, how does one become TRP endorsed?

I'm sorry for offending you and this community. My post was not meant to illicit anger and hostility. I guess I felt the need to post because I developed a soft spot for some of the men here, mostly because I was once an ugly duckling and can totally understand the trials and tribulations associated with not always being accepted by others.

Really? None of the comments seemed very affectionate to me! :D Honestly, I wish I could shower you all with unconditional love and support because that's exactly what the men in this community need. Sadly, there's only one of me and thousands of you guys.

Who knows what truly drives a person? The people presented in your reflection clearly had a motivation to achieve something great during their lifetime. Perhaps that's simply not your goal, and that's totally fine, Grahambell35! That being said, you might want to compare the lives of those who remained occupied with those who simply waited for the inevitable. I'm really glad I occupy my time with "distracting" goals! Thanks for the thoughtful post! :D

Are you John? Regardless, thanks for your post, defineyourmeasure1! Although there's some contradiction within your story, I think you presented several valuable lessons. Please don't fall in love over the internet and then move to another country to marry someone you barely know. Also, it should be abundantly clear by this story and others that tattoos are often more permanent than relationships. I hope everything works out well for your cousin and his family.

I'm a lover not a fighter, MattyAnon! My letter has been removed by the MODS, so it appears as though you win! Congratulations on your victory!! :D

Congratulations on your sobriety, TrenGod37! That's an amazing accomplishment that you should be extremely proud of. I would also like to add that I think a lot of women appreciate men who work hard, put forth effort, and are not afraid of failure. I'm sure your hard work does not go unnoticed.

I'm a war veteran. Does that count as sacrifice? I have also donated to organizations that assist veterans, most of which are men. I understand what you are saying, MattyAnon, but you should recognize that you don't know me well enough to cast judgements about my character.

Thanks for your thoughtful post, SasquatchMcKraken. I also have to tell you that I really like your name. Although spelled differently, it reminds me of Ernie McCracken from Kingpin. Have you seen that movie? Hilarious! :D I love Bill Murray!

You're absolutely right, MattyAnon. How can anyone expect people to take the expressions written here as truth. We will never truly know one another, or be able to prove each other right or wrong because nothing stated online can be verified. I don't expect any of you to believe me, and I'm definitely not here to seek validation or to be seen as a "good" person. It's clear that most people posting in response to my letter are in disagreement. I completely understand! No hard feelings!

It's difficult to remain completely unidentified as a woman in this community, especially when I have humbly accepted my postwall title. Also, I'm not expecting anyone here to give special weight or credence to my thoughts.

People often choose what suits their interests. I can't change the way you feel about my thoughts. All I can tell you is that this post was meant to be supportive and was written with the best intentions.

Good question, AGallopingMonkey! I'm not special, simply different than some. Is it possible that outliers will always exist when rules are based on generalizations? I'm not here to disrespect this community. I enjoy trying to understand the perspectives of others, even if I don't always agree.

I appreciate you taking the time to respond, TrenGod37 and MattyAnon. Thank you for your candid remarks! I will certainly take them under advisement; however, I'm not one to argue, so I guess we will have to agree to disagree about my thoughts and feeling.

I was trying to convince you all that NAWALT but, as mentioned, I'm guessing this is a futile attempt. Best of luck to you!
