I will tend to agree with you. The gaming in Japan by 'Gaijins' seems to be magnitudes different from a game run by say a brown dude in the US. I also won't say that this FR was completely useless. It is ok buddy. We see an abundance of reposts and spams and what not. Don't discourage the guy. Sometimes it is small moments like these that help you realize what you were doing wrong or rather what is it that you need to do right. I start grabbing random people and forcing them to tell these girls I'm a good guy even though I don't know them. I think this gave it away. This sounds too desperate and DLV to me. Usually, the rule of thumb is to wait a couple of days before initiating first contact. Something on the lines of 'Hi. How are you doing?" and then you can ask her out in the couple of next texts.
