Not necessarily. You would think that.... but honestly there are so many variables. Even when it's pretty clear it should go 1 way. Get ready for the eventual downfall. Please take my advice start saving every record, recipt, screenshot every conversation, and talk to a lawyer ASAP.

I wouldn't dismiss your lawyer. She may get defensive about it, but just day since it's free it would be good to have them as a back up incase something popped up. Also can you give a little insight to the temporary orders hearing experience you had? You can dm if you'd rather. I'm also in TX and mine is coming up quickly and I don't want to get burned.

Agreed. And my stbxw is making any time with my kids as stressful as possible. She said "I want you to have meaningful time with the boys too".... in the same sentence said if you want a weekend with them I get them for the next 2 weeks. Temp orders can't come quick enough.

Since you don't have kids of of your own to help fill that time/ void. Get a dog. I'd recommend a Bernie-doodle. Standard size. Loyal smart, protective but very gentle. They don't shed too much and can be taught to do anything. They can be a bit in the larger side.

You're not alone, the struggle is real. There were days I was useless, just an emotional wreck. But it will get better. Just for now don't expect much. I don't want to say you should file. But really listen to your gut. Can you accept living like an unwanted roommate? Don't you deserve to be happy and be at peace? I believe you do. So only you can decide how that plays out. Take care, please reach out if you need to talk.

I wish I had read this a year ago. This is the reason that may have saved my marriage.. but for sure would have prepared me for separation... and now divorce. I still love who My wife was. I have no idea who this woman is that replaced her. And I grieve the life I thought we were working to. Op, definitely talk to her. Tell her what you're thinking and missing and why. And then ask her what she needs and why. And listen. Actually listen and hear her. Then make you decision. But she's already sta…

Go talk to a lawyer regardless. Don't be dumb and wait. Don't move out of your house. Secure as much money as you can. Go talk to a lawyer right now.

Also in Texas gather everything, don't leave your residence and don't say anything to give away your intent. I'm not sure what county you're in but look up to see if they have a standing order. Most do. Get a temporary custody order filed. Don't withhold anything from her. Texas is a community property so everything in your name or hers it doesn't matter, unless it was gifted prior. All will be split 50/50

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
