Although nerve richness correlates with sensitivity, it is not as simple as "you removed the most sensitive part of the body therefore you lose a shitload of sensation". Some studies have found a decrease in sensitivity from circumcision, but others have found no statistically significant reduction. The large study from 2013 that claimed to show a decrease in sensitivity for circumcised men had major issues with its sample and conclusions.

While I would suggest that this woman is likely overreacting to something not intended to be sexual, what exactly is so ridiculous about the idea that adding a winking emoticon can add a sexual tone to a message? There are a lot of reasons that the pay gap exists that do not reflect current discrimination against women. That said, there are also studies that show current gender discrimination against women, particularly in scientific fields. Not the overt misogynist "I HATE WOMEN" variety, but quantitative demonstrations that equally qualified women are perceived as less competent than equally qualified men - by both men and women.
