The OP quite clearly doesn't want a discussion or conversation about the actual topic. This is clearly a "fuck feminists!" type of person, and it seems like the don't even want to consider that there may be some nuance.

He kneeled. That's enough for plenty of Americans to hate him sadly.

I'm pointing out, that the scholarship environment at that time was weighted heavily in favor of women and minorities, and likely still is. So, in other words, part of the reason you didn't get the scholarship is because you are white and a man? I mean, it seems weird that you really don't want to admit this. I'm not even saying I disagree. Nah, I was sharing a personal anecdote, not writing a peer-reviewed paper Ah, so it wasn't about the actual statistics and policies, just the feels.

and he was automatically a preferred candidate for any of the ones I could apply for. His dice were loaded, and he could roll them 4-5 times for every chance I got. Because he was a minority. I never said that I didn't get a scholarship because I was white and male, I was just explaining how the odds were stacked and the actual outcome of those odds. So you aren't saying it was your white maleness that didn't get you a scholarship, but rather the brownness of others? You could also provide evide…

So whatever gender bias they are trying to fix doesn't need addressed in the college realm. But there are biases not reflected in "did you graduate or not". Does your school push certain majors on one gender over the other? That's a bias. Does your school allocate funding in an unequal manner? That's a bias. Is one gender graded differently? That's a bias.

I was a good candidate. I had good grades in HS, graduated two years early, and had severe financial need... So like a majority of applicants? If 1000 people like that apply does it mean you were discriminated against because you weren't the 1/1000 that got it? Maybe a lot of the other applicant's had great, not good, grades. Maybe their financial need is more severe. Maybe they also graduated early while working during HS. Unless you know you lost it to a minority with equal or worse qualificat…

While I agree that the case specifics can change which factor affects the outcome more (wealth/power or gender), I was mostly trying to say that both factors provided, money/power will probably get you more than gender will. That must be why Dominique Strauss-Kahn waltzed to the French Presidency after allegedly assaulting a poor maid in a hotel room. Just to clear this up, is Dominique a woman who assaulted a mail maid? Or the other way around? If it was a woman, then being the president of Fra…

You're delusional if you think gender is a larger factor than power/family/money.

Lol. So if the words sadist and masochist are used together most of the time should I assume they are interchangeable? I mean that's what your logic is implying.

"they have the mind of a child" like mentally handicapped peoplr do. Not all mental disabilities are the same and this is a pretty bad generalization. Has 'childish' been used in the same vein as 'retarded'?

Disabled people aren't even called that now. Where did you get that?

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
