Yes because getting to stay at home on your husband's dime while he slaves away just to keep her freeloading ass afloat clearly isn't enough.

The way I see it, you can learn those truths by observing the people around you and from their experiences, especially when you consider the vast swathes of information available through the internet. No need to get burnt yourself.

It's always been gynocentric since the core message of TRP is that men should reshape themselves into something women find evolutionarily attractive instead of learning to be happy with themselves.

On the bright side he's not married yet so there's still hope that he will break it off.

Just the fact that you're essentially putting yourself up to significant risk of having to pay a salary to your ex should be a significant deterrent to anyone capable of thought and reflection. Not to mention marriage promotes that disgusting dynamic where the man provides and the woman takes. Because having a vagina means there's no need for a job.

I see no difference between prostitution and the typical woman who wants the man to pay for her. The prostitute is being honest at least instead of resorting to all sorts of meaningless platitudes to justify herself.

I don't have a masculine identity, I have a myself identity. That's what MGTOW is about for me -- being what I want to be and not what society thinks I should be because I have an XY chromosome set.
/r/MGTOW21/05/15 05:21 PM

I would disagree with the second point because how can you say it's not the woman dictating the terms of the engagement when you're completely reinventing yourself to suit what women desire in a man? It's first and foremost aimed at appeasing the evolutionary desires of women, and your own authentic personality is given little thought in that matter -- you're just told to man up and lift. I dislike that. Self improvement is great though, but I prefer to find the motivation for it in myself, and …

And I do cultivate those traits in myself, except I don't use them to gain female attention or share them with women. The problem with TRP for me is that it's inextricably mired in being a seduction technique first and foremost. Not to mention I resent the gender dynamic of 'man provides, woman takes' a great deal, hence I'm not going to participate in perpetuating that dynamic.

I reject it because I don't want to change my entire personality for the sake of sexually appealing to women as I'm not interested in having sex or forming relationships with women. Not sure what's so complicated or fearful about that.
/r/MGTOW19/05/15 05:41 PM

I reject a TRP lifestyle because it's gynocentric -- all about shaping yourself to become what women want, even if goes directly against your natural personality. No thank you. I will not be the person who enables a dynamic he despises.

Men won't marry you because marriage is an utterly pointless tradition that doesn't change the relationship at all and carries extraordinary risk for the man.
/r/MGTOW16/05/15 11:11 AM

Housewives aren't heroes; they're freeloaders and leeches. The men who enable their parasitic lifestyle are also to blame though.

Of course she would be happier at home having everything provided for her. How is that even a question? The problem is that men like me aren't happy having a child for a 'partner'. High-powered job or gtfo.
/r/MGTOW16/05/15 11:01 AM

Child rearing can be done by both the man and the woman. There is no reason whatsoever why she should get the easy job of staying at home with the kids while the man slaves away at his cutthroat corporate job.
/r/MGTOW15/05/15 09:04 AM
1

That's because 'masculine' traits are straight up superior to 'feminine' ones. Everybody respects the person who goes out and gets things done; on the other hand, there's very little to respect about staying at home on your husband's dime and spewing out kids, because anyone can do that as long as they are in the possession of a vagina.

Husband has got to be a complete mug to pay for her entire education after she's spent her 20s sitting at home. Women like this need to get a job and men need to stop financially supporting them.
/r/MGTOW13/05/15 09:47 AM

I disagree greatly that women are supposed to sit at home taking care of the kids because that implies that men should work to financially support deadbeat wives. Not providing for anyone, least of all a woman who is just as capable of holding down a job as I am.
/r/MGTOW12/05/15 09:33 AM

I would rather have lower productivity and wages than work to support women while they sit at home. Passing on that.

I am fundamentally against the idea that men should work to provide for women. I don't mind working a bit more if it means that I don't have to provide for someone who can work but would rather not.
/r/MGTOW10/05/15 07:33 AM

Couldn't agree more. The idea that men should work for women is the greatest con in history.
/r/MGTOW10/05/15 07:22 AM

I would hate to see that happen because this would mark a shift towards the old model where the man is a walking wallet and the woman is a 'full time mum'. Women's happiness is really none of my concern.

I cannot imagine what must go inside a man's head to make him regard buying pizza for a random tinder girl as a good idea. Completely unfathomable.
/r/MGTOW09/05/15 07:37 PM

I have never had a girlfriend and I don't want to because of female nature. I am also tired of the societal expectation for men to aspire to be 'alpha' so that's yet another thing I'm snubbing.
/r/MGTOW09/05/15 07:32 PM

I don't see the problem here. You're free to buy whatever toys you want, they're just not put into pointless categories straight off the bat. Freedom from gender stereotypes is an excellent thing and should be celebrated if you resent female nature because active intervention is just about the only thing that might result in change at some point in the distant future.
/r/MGTOW08/05/15 08:31 PM

Disagree about red pill because it's ultimately gynocentric: all about appealing to women at all costs. You can accept red pill facts without engaging in red pill behaviours.

Most importantly not paying helps filter out low quality women looking for a provider.
/r/MGTOW01/05/15 10:34 AM

MGTOW here, as far from masculine as it can get, couldn't care less about being alpha. The thing with MGTOW is that it's mostly about carving out your own path, whether that corresponds with traditional ideals of masculinity or not.

Being bi/gay would make things much simpler.
/r/MGTOW30/04/15 08:47 AM

This is why men should never ever pay for women on dates and in general, in the hope of driving away low quality women like the one in the OP.

Just because it's realistic doesn't mean I want to participate in it.

I think what you're looking for here is "current feminist and mainstream societal expectations." I see those as an offshoot of female nature which is focused on the utility that men can provide. I find that degrading and have no desire to participate in this dynamic, hence MGTOW. I'm definitely not looking for a red pill relationship at all, I'd rather go gay than assume the position of the provider and I'm not at all aroused by submissiveness. I think if you're looking for a red pill relationsh…

MGTOW is for any straight man dissatisfied with the state of heterosexual relationships, whatever the reason. It is about choosing your own path in life instead of following the predetermined role that is assigned to men. Hence it is not purely a resort for traditionalists dissatisfied with female emancipation but also those looking for an equal dynamic which women aren't willing to participate in, as well as just about everyone else in between. The whole idea behind MGTOW is that you do what yo…

I'm under no delusion that feminists are after equality. It's very clear from their actions that they aren't.

I agree. However biology is utterly immoral and as such I'm not going to live my life by it, no matter how much traditionalists demand me to take up my role as a provider to women. Won't know if it can change without trying.
/r/MGTOW29/04/15 04:51 PM

Completely disagree. I don't want to marry because there are very few women who are genuine egalitarians/feminists, meaning interested in a relationship between equals. I welcome the idea that there should be absolutely no male/female power dynamic in a relationship. However, the sad truth of the matter from my perspective is that most women want a superior, not an equal, no matter how much feminist ideology they espouse -- their actions speak differently. Feminism is not bad if it's aimed towar…

I greatly disagree with the idea that I should work while she sits at home having an easy stress-free life. Not to mention that I would not be given this choice as a man, which makes me even more opposed to this arrangement. Men aren't working horses to be abused at leisure and I have infinitely more respect for women who actually go out and work because they're at least contributing and accomplishing things instead of being a 'full time mum'.
/r/MGTOW29/04/15 05:09 AM

Her perspective is equally as bad as the article author's perspective. To her a man is just there to provide her with an easy and relaxed lifestyle, and to allow her, as she so aptly put it, to 'sit at home and do nothing'. I see absolutely nothing laudable about this comment, just the same old hypergamous crap. I could really live without a housebound pet for a 'partner'.
/r/MGTOW28/04/15 09:03 AM

That's precisely the idea that I got from your post -- that men should reject their individuality and fall in line to become near-identical pillars of masculinity, whether they want it or not. Once again, I couldn't disagree more. To think that every man is just waiting to embrace 'natural' gender roles is reductive and simplistic. I have never felt any desire at all to be stereotypically masculine in most ways, and yet you would see me strive to become the stereotypical dominant man because tha…

I think it's an excellent shift. I have no desire to be a provider of any sort to anyone.
/r/MGTOW25/04/15 07:47 PM

I couldn't disagree with this more. The whole point of MGTOW is that men are rejecting the idea that they're meant to fall into certain roles through being male (particularly taking care of a woman and working hard while she sits at home spewing out kids). This is a dynamic I resent greatly and have no interest in participating in. I'm not interesting in 'acting like a man' and all the connotations that come with it. I don't need a woman and I don't want to fall into a traditional dominant male/…
/r/MGTOW25/04/15 06:22 PM

Disagree. Looking for virgins just leads us right back into the same old despicable traditional dynamic where the man is forced to provide for some 'full time mum' that we're trying to escape.

I said I don't want a relationship with a submissive woman. In my experience it's far harder to find women interested in a relationship between equals instead of the usual dynamic where the man is her superior. This is a major reason why I'm MGTOW -- I'd rather be alone than enter a relationship where I'd be in charge. I'm not shunning all women from my life though, I'm simply refusing the enter relationships with them. I'd be up for it if someone willing to be an equal came into my life but I'm…

This is your own idealised version of the subreddit which is completely at odds with what the red pill is in reality. Sure it sounds lofty when described as continuous self-improvement, but in reality the vast majority of people there are centred almost exclusively around using that so-called self-improvement to attain women, instead of truly seeking to better themselves for the sake of themselves. Just have a look at the subreddit description -- 'Discussion of sexual strategy'. I'm all for self…

Red pillers are major white knights and panderers to female sexuality. According to red pill philosophy, it is men who should change themselves in order to appeal to women, hardly ever the other way around. The typical red piller is a bloke who is desperate for female attention to a point where they'd happy give up their true personality to become a borderline psychopath in order to appeal to women at all costs. It's an incredibly desperate lifestyle and only women win when a man goes red pill b…

Bunch of female apologists who refuse to hold women accountable for their actions.
/r/PussyPassDenied23/03/15 07:51 PM

Yes. Men need to start to hold women accountable for their actions just like they do for other men. This is the only way that change in the dating scene is going to occur. Unfortunately the vast majority of men still put up with all sorts of behaviours and let women walk all over them due to the carrot on a stick that is a distant chance to have sex. Basically men need to learn to have standards.

I would teach her to recognise how privileged she is and to treat men as equals, not walking wallets.
