I can't really follow a fixed guide from the Internet or something because I can't guarantee all the equipment will be available. But what I do is keep repeating the same lifts, starting with sets of 6, until I can comfortably do 3 sets of 10. Then up the weight next time. Also does it matter where the calories come from? Protein is expensive and I don't have the cash to be buying crap tons of meat.

I have no idea. I just turn up, lift heavy stuff until I physically can't anymore, then leave, buying a protein shake on the way out.

Is it supposed to be an uncomfortable amount of food to eat? Rice, chicken and protein shake is basically the diet and it's about all I can eat after a workout without forcing myself through it.

I can see it from the big guy trying to lean up perspective. But I'm a skinny guy who has been working out hard for about 6 months now and all it has done is make my limbs really veiny. I don't really see any improvement, and definitely no improvement in my luck with dating. I feel like I'm just wasting my time, money and energy.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
