Hey man, just wanted to offer words of support. Giving someone 20 years of financial/emotional/relationship stability just to have it thrown back at you after two years would be emotionally destructive on a massive scale. I have 5 brothers, my dad worked 3 jobs at once to ensure we were taken care of. I've seen what it actually takes to raise a family that massive on zero money. My brothers and I turned out awesome. I've enjoyed all 8.5 years so far, everything I own and all the life experience I have is from the Airforce. Started as active duty, went to the guard as a full time guy. Absolutely worth it. I'm not a blue-blooded gung-ho Airforce dude by any means, but it's made me travel the world, bought me a house, a nice car, motorcycle, sailboat, kept me in shape, the works. I say go for it.
