Age 43, married, kids 5'5" 145lb. fat=24% squat=105lb. deadlift=120lb. TESTOSTERONE Man this testosterone is some good shit. Should have done it 15 years ago. Why didn't I? "That's pride. Pride never helps, it only hurts." Don't know if that's universally true but it applies here. I tell my sons if you want something try stuff to get it. You can get much more than you think. Don't worry about wrecking your body, for moderately conservative people age wrecks our body much faster than we do. The b…

People weren't so quick to ignore everything you said except lifting back then. I won't respond to your other comments for the sake of avoiding answering questions I've already answered. And I don't lie.

squat 85lb. deadlift 195lb. in my early 20s (maxes) crossfit 2010 I went 6 days a week. Yea it's not real lifting but I do have some experience with muscular activity. 2017-2019(~2yr.period) lifted 2 to 2 1/4 times a week. Admittedly the sessions were a far cry from one of your sessions but believe me it felt dangerous to do more, that's how f'ed up my brain was. But you don't believe that. Did other stuff throughout my life too, of course, but this is in answer to your question.

They're basically nothing. Squat 75lb. deadlift 75lb. or so last time. Not going to failure. I don't go much although as said, starting in the last month or two I've had the capacity to go more. I just have enough trouble keeping up with the running and right now focusing on productivity. Probably I should go at least once a week though. I'll reiterate that I tried lifting for a few years 2-3 times a week when I was depressed 2017-2019. It did not fix my problems. LIFTING IS NOT A PANACEA. Come …

Age 43 5'5" 135lb. fat=http://imgur.com/a/nzmTlOo (early morning) My last confession was 2 months ago. WOO HOO! Job offer. Maybe management as I won't be able to be a heavy programmer much longer, although I'm prolonging my faculties with eating less and exercise. For now running, but once I st…

serious issue With the help of psychiatrist, I am tapering off Lexapro. The depressive effect will be minor due to being on Lamictal now, and I'm eager to try shrooms once off Lexapro. Why are you not lifting? I tried it for about 6 months in 2020, going 2-3 times a week. Due to depression, I got lightheaded and winded quickly, necessitating rests lying down on the benches. I made little progress and decided my little energy was best spent on running to fix my depression and working a bit on my …

Well that's my own interpretation* but maybe I should have said "mental shackles" as in the moral imperatives society instills in us from birth: happily ever after marriages in fairy tales, "Be good and you will go far".. Casting off physical shackles are like gun-toter in the woods which is definitely not the path most Red Pilled people choose. Shedding these shackles is to me the main point of Red Pill because to fully adopt sexual success with the praxeology of Red Pill (lift, frame, internal…

Which is what? Reaching their potential in life. Why are YOU here? Red Pill is really about shedding the shackles of society. Red Pill and this forum (which I originally pursued because I wanted to cheat and also get my wife off my back) taught me that society uses people to further its goals, and that we can get more out of life if we formulate our own goals. So I am here to get as far toward my goals as possible. Blue pilled people cannot reach the deepest level of discussions about goal pursu…

February 8, 2022 Age 43 wife 39 5'5" 140 lb. fat=25% deadlift=100lb. DEPRESSION Aside from mood tracking, a reliable indicator that a slump is beginning to set in again is when the house gets messy - counters, floor, sinks, toilet. (1) Lamictal Started Nov.23 2021, up to 200mg now. It mutes the extremes. No hypomania anymore and depressions are not incapacitating. It also generally lifts my mood. I tried lifting on a regular schedule. It helps, and your comment may be a reminder that it's time to introduce variety into my exercise routine. My mind is like a whirlpool. I've tried many things over the years to solve this depression problem. Many of them seemed to have some benefit for 10-20 days, then I relapse into a low mood. It's like pushing a marble that is spinning round and round down to the center of the whirlpool, back out a bit. Thus I'm moving toward more drastic measures; speci…

Age 42 wife 38 married=9y. kids=yes 5'6" 140lb. fat=25% squat=70lb. deadlift=90lb. I have been in the midst of another slump. zombie family life you are currently sustaining. This hits home. I think I am giving my kids something by them coming home every day to a house where both mom and dad are and get along reasonably well. So now we have two homes. Dementia is the scariest thing. It was heartbreaking when I saw my dad cognitively weakening, I know how you feel. I don't feel the same when I see it in my mom. Maybe it's because she's pissed me off so many times I have resentment built up. Funny I talked/interacted with my mom 100x more than my dad but I sobbed when he died, it was one of the saddest times in my life. Just reread that post on your recommendation. Lot of good food for thought. Among that food is the idea that the alpha dog applies minimal force to snap the secondary dog back in its place. He explains this as it proves that the leader dog is too focused on his mission to allow such a thing to distract him (and that the alpha dog's time is too precious to spend more than a few seconds dealing with this), which awes the dogs in the pack, and makes them want to follow him more obediently. There is…

Gratitude practice 3xday. What a difference it makes. Seems so. You've started off your last few OYSes with statements of how you feel your life is really great. It reminds me of how they say these days to tell your kids to adopt "learning mindset" and not "outcome mindset". There seem to be 2 ways to get the brain out of the rut of always focusing on "what's wrong in my life" and on to what's good: (1) Gratitude practice (2) Patting oneself on the back for each success. The main difference seem…

When I say empathize I mean that the only method I have found has any chance of defusing her volcanicity in these moments is something like fogging: "You are very upset that I am continuing to rent". However the fact that I use the word empathize probably means I'm doing it wrong. I do not empathize if she hits me, of course. Her periodic craziness has been going on for years. Of course I tried yelling back, or leaving the house when she doesn't stop. I kind of took that out as an option because…

My wife has always been prone to nutty outbursts, but it is true that things have gotten worse since that event. If my wife's aggressiveness level was Tesla's stock price, I'd say before I pursued extramarital sex it was $200 (post-split), and now it is $800.

Before - Training out of necessity .. "can't wait for cheat day" Now - ..enjoyment of the act of training.. "this pump feels fucking good" The body has its own "mind", or at least mechanisms for telling us to do certain things. These grow and shrink depending on what we habitually do, or how big they are. For example, if you have been weightlifting a long time, and suddenly stop, after a few days your muscles will be crying out to heft and strain at a heavy weight. When you satisfy them it's a g…

Wow. Thorough response. Much thanks. Some initial reactions: For you it all comes down to an image you have of yourself, which is both a Strong Man as well as one who is true to his deepest innate self. Although you have an eye toward constant improvement, the basic lines along which you measure your progress - for example weightlifting numbers - come fully from within and are not based on the expectations or ratings of anyone else. Someone needs to interview all the people who are highly consumed by a specific motivation e.g. that guy in Free Solo*. Probation OYS 3 of 4 MISSION To select a mission you have to answer What is the POINT of it all? All is electrons and neutrons and protons bouncing off each other. Due to electrostatic attraction these particles will clump together in a multiplicity of ways (because there is both the positive-negative attraction and the positive-positive repulsion / negative-negative repulsion). Some configurations of clumps have better staying power, can influence the surrounding matter to mirror its configurat…

Sleep is a deep problem. The depth is matched by the importance. See an excellent sleep doctor 3 times. Don't settle.

"suicide by cop" Hah, nice. (SuperCrazy07,) I don't want a divorce because I don't want to hurt my kids. She will turn a blind eye because I take care of shit at home, am a good father, bring income.

I don't want to get divorced. Cheating then telling her seems easier than telling her pre-cheating.

(numbers slightly noised) Age 40 wife 37 together=10y. kids=yes 5'5" 135lb. fat=19% squat=105lb. deadlift=135lb. Took Red Pill june 2018 MRP saved me. Married life was hell I had reached the brink of beta-disgust in her eyes. She hit or mocked me, especially when I would yell about how she wasn't fair. Low point:practically crying I begged her to be nicer to me. She is not bad as far as women go. Has some level of ethics. Stuck by her man even though found him disgusting. My brain was getting fr…

Yes, because getting married and having kids was one of those conscious choices you make to jump into a burning pit. As Nietzsche said, what doesn't kill you makes you stronger. My only regret in life is that I should have jumped into more burning pits. Both pits I jumped into I thought I was doing the smartest thing at the time, though. And neither pit gave me un-recoverable-from brain damage.

The level of enlightenment about the human condition evinced in the 4 Gospels has not had human produced philosophy come close before or since. The on-target-ness, the poetry. If a divine being didn't write it, who did? Do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own. Store up for yourself treasures in heaven [virtue], where thieves do not break in and steal, and moth and rust do not destroy. Do unto others as you would have them do unto …

Epiphanies are the elaboration in words of groundshaking alterations in neural priority assignments burnt in by a major experience. Epiphanies need "time spent alone reflecting in the forest" to grow forth and appear. Examples of major experiences: great prolonged suffering. Getting in touch with Ultimate One-ness through taking psilocybin. An experience which convinces oneself that one could die tomorrow.

Pick nihilism or pick production, pick right brain or left brain. There is no God because it doesn't make sense that all laws of the universe follow neat mathematical equations except one which is made by a superlative personality-ed being. If supreme reality is consciousness, why don't all psilocybin users become monks?

Thank you very much for your on-target reply. I apologize for my lateness. You're right, it's about our own value. We take care of our wife when she's pregnant because our kid is in there. It's irresponsible to slough off responsibility of developing my kid into a proper member of the human community, because my kid is something I (half) created. (And perhaps also because it would be fair to repay in kind my wife giving of her time when I was laid up.)
