1	They be trippin That’s not the point of child support. After a divorce, the court is trying to make a bad situation for the child as good as possible. This means that the child gets to spend time with both parents and that the child gets to live a life close to what it would have lived with both parents. The court is not just going to bankrupt the main custodial parent. Depending on the length of the relationship, the main custodial parent may have assets with large debt obligations.
