Interesting position. Because it's a largely female position then it's overwhelmingly anti-male, (I disagree, but for the sake of discussion let's keep your position). Now, I feel that the gender of the teacher in question is meaningless. The words and actions of this person in a position of power is awful. Nice! For me, it was Jackson Katz. The horizontal oppression that men enforce against one another is unbelievably damaging, not only that many women by into the oppression that women use to keep men in those boxes of masculinity. This isn't to say it doesn't go both ways, but I do think that men and women need to severely re-think gender norms. Furthermore, I seriously think that for feminism to continue we feminists need to bring men into the conversation. Side note- thanks for the positive rep…

Just as all sexes can be feminists, all sexes can be men's issues activists. Can't you be both? I can see the disconnect between the two, but I'm feminist (gasp!! the enemy) and I am acutely aware of the damage the gender binary does on both sexes. Eh. Off topic. Let's see if I get the courage to post in here.
