The problem with the way you're interpreting it, is that you have to wait some years after 50 for women to "catch up" to men in terms of facial aging. So maybe 70 year old female will look like 100 year old male.
Guys like girls shorter than them. Its a masculinity thing. But if a guy is 6'4, it doesn't mean he'll go for a 5'8. He might go for someone who is 6'1. Its all relative.
