I think the "peak" they are talking about is a statistical simplification. Men's SMV is partly do derived from their net worth and typically your net worth is close to 0 in your early 20s, whereas a Women's SMV is derived from their youth. If you look at the population that is typically what you will find, but of course there will be outliers.

Focus on your life, don't worry about the cards you've been dealt.
