That's an interesting and thoughtful reply, thank you. I can see how having someone you've idolized choose you could feel really monumental. And maybe it would change your life if it really changes how you think about yourself. I also think men maybe have unrealistic expectations of the "hotness" of women given how skewed media and pornographic portrayals are. I can see how you might feel like you're "settling" with an average woman, but please keep in mind that most of us aren't supermodel hot.…

Honest question, why would it be life changing to sleep with a very attractive woman? Outside of RP type communities, who cares? Do you think the sex will be that different because she is beautiful? She could be beautiful but terrible in bed. Is it just so you can brag to others? Then that's just a shallow, dispicable reason really. I get the desire for sex, obviously. But this feeling that sex is going to be life changing is something I don't understand.

Well, don't get into sexual relationships with teenagers or people you have power over and you're probably good to go. An enthusiastic yes doesn't need to be over analyzed. Understanding a little more nuance wouldn't hurt you though.

The point is that you might not be as clear on what the woman wants if there is a serious power imbalance. E.g. if you're in control of this woman's financial and housing stability, then when you're asking for sex there's a perceived obligation there. She might be saying yes but only because she doesn't feel she can say no. It can be much more subtle and much more complex than that scenario obviously. Point being... Make sure consent is real, informed, free consent. If you're holding something o…

That's just being a human. We all mimic/adapt to our environments to some extent. Being able to adapt is a positive trait. Those that are unable/refuse to adapt at all just lack social skills.

I'd be interested to know what traits and virtues you think have been relabelled as toxic? Genuinely interested in having the conversation. I agree that the metoo movement has gone too far in some respects, but I don't think that should negate the truth that men have had and still have considerably more power in our society - as a group - and that women are more likely to be disempowered, disadvantaged in the workplace, abused, and disbelieved. the metoo movement is coming from a place of shinin…

Wow, sorry you got downvoted so much for pointing out a fact. Broad generalizations such as those you responsed to don't help anyone. I'm pretty new to the sub but it seems to me people here are all too eager to decide that "all" women are man-haters or out to hurt men or take advantage of them. By all means call out the women that do this, but please don't lose sight of the fact that women having a voice on their perspective, and men being called out for their own acts of entitlement or privile…

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
