I didn't know my gf was interested in me AT ALL. Until she told me she loves me. She seemed like there's no way she'd have the slighest bit of interest until she dropped "I love you". So yeah, I wouldn't be generilizing one's personal experience and thoughts onto almost 4 billion people!
