I was just thinking, I'd probably want to try and continue being a father figure in the kid's life. I can't imagine walking away from a child I had raised for three years no matter what. I know custody would never be a thing, and the mom would probably fight me on it, but it just feels wrong to walk away from a child that unconditionally loves you.

If it's recent, I know the Navy has relaxed grooming standards right now because of coronavirus. Wouldn't be surprised if other branches followed suit. I don't think they'd allow barracks visits by non-dependants during this though, so I don't think it's recent.

"Again and again women prove to be inadequate to the task and when they are stress they respond by fucking whoever is in charge and then calling it rape." This is why I say misogyny. Editing before posting as I want this to be seen first, but I'm too lazy to reformat some contextual grammar, my statement was bipartisan between sexes. Most sexual assaults, not just rape, aren't even reported. Last I checked, the statistics were around 1/5 reported for women, and 1/15 for men in the military. Not sure where this Scuttlebutt rant came from, or even what your source is, but I digress. Right, so we'll just lump in every rape accusation here as women trying to get out of shit. I'm…

There are multiple cases of men and women in the service being victims of sexual assault by their own brothers and sisters in arms. Being a warrior doesn't mean that you are this constant shell of a person devoid of any emotion besides toughness. Just that, when it gets down to it, you are going to do everything that is asked of you.

More like if you got drunk and got in a shoot out with a rival gang, but it's their fault because they should have known better.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
