I don’t believe that only a minority of women want a guy who is over 6 feet tall.

have you been with her through a ... monthly slump, yet? Those are kind of a thing that can happen. Yeah I'm hoping that's all it is. I'm very glad you've found someone and I hope everything works out. Thank you very much for your comments and good luck to you too.

If you're still with her - is it something you feel like you can ask her about? Do you regularly talk about your relationship? Kind of, yeah. She said that the less sex was for other reasons, but I have no way of knowing if that's true or not, so I'm left to wonder if I did something to make me less attractive to her. What you're describing sounds kind of like the tail end of a relationship that may be more of a learning experience than a happy memory. That's kind of unfortunate to hear. I hope …

I would also say though that if it is a real problem and it’s brought up in an appropriate context with someone you are in a serious relationship with, and you feel them back away, you dodged a bullet. It would suck to be expected to be strong and stoic all the time imho. It wasn't a real problem, just something I shared because I wanted her to know that I understood what that type of stuff feels like. I don't really have any serious insecurities, and I don't have a problem being strong and stoi…

"I can tolerate insecurity if it's on my terms and only in small doses." Yeah, I think that's fair. Nobody wants to be with someone who's a constant downer.

Sure, I'd love to have a conversation. With my current partner, the conversations would play out something like the following: She would share something about herself that she was insecure about or didn't like. I would explain why she shouldn't worry about what she was worrying about, or I would tell her that the thing she was insecure about didn't bother me at all (if it was a physical thing). After that, sometimes I would share something that bothered me. I did this to sort of make her feel li…

Yes, always. I wouldn't talk about that kind of stuff on an early date or anything.

Thanks a lot for your comment. How early do you mean when you say "very early on in our relationship"? I would agree that oversharing is weird and off-putting for either gender, but if it's brought up in an appropriate context, is insecurity still unattractive?

Yeah, it was in a serious relationship. I wouldn't bring anything like that up while we were just dating.

I'm a bit confused, maybe you misread my comment? I don't have a problem with insecurities pouring out involuntarily. I don't have that many and they don't really bother me at all. I used to think that it was just a perfectly innocent topic of conversation that didn't have too much of an impact on your attractiveness, but that doesn't seem to be the case.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/10/18 09:57 PM

Just stop being so fucking neurotic! Not neurotic at all, I don't have a bunch of insecurities that come pouring out of me and interfere with my life that I can't help talking about all the time. Even just sharing minor things it seems has a negative impact on your sexual attractiveness to a woman. I'm perfectly cool with not letting any of that show, I just didn't realize that it actually mattered.

if you are compulsively oversharing/word vomiting your problems on your partner all the time without seeking help, that can be trying and might impact sexual appeal in a general way Nothing like this, just kind of talking and sharing. sharing insecurities and personal stuff in an appropriate way can build intimacy & trust, which can lead to a stronger relationship overall and potentially better sex From my experience women have no interest in hearing about your insecurities, even if it's in an a…
