Another interesting tid bit- women with auto-immune diseases can experience relief while pregnant - their immune system can weaken itself to protect the baby, amazing! Edit : the She body, lol

Thank you ! I remembered reading this and was looking for it. Women do generally have stronger immune systems. I believe this is why they are considerably more at risk for auto-immune diseases.

Does your dominant eye match your dominant arm? It doesn’t match in 20% of people and is likely throwing your aim off. I’m a righty but left-eye dominant and have been told I’m better off learning to shoot left-handed, just a thought

Lol what kind do you do? I belong to a Baptiste studio (not my fave) but my teacher training is general vinyasa and more alignment-focused

Nice! Yea I’m quite flexible too. I’m in yoga teacher training right now and the only man so every other weekend I spend 10 hours with 12 women, it’s not so bad. I feel especially YANG there - like hyper masculine lol. And sewing is a good one, very handy. Wish I had a good machine for that or was better by hand

I trimmed my armpits one time. I kind of liked it. I am man but I do a ton of yoga (which is predominantly women in the West), I crochet and weave and really should have been a dancer Billy Elliott style - but my older sister totally sucked at ballet (and still can’t dance!) so my parents never even thought of it for their first born son LOL. I also am really good at baking and shit. And mushroom hunting which is like foraging I guess. I don’t have any masculine hobbies really besides lifting - …

It is a big disadvantage but one of my buddy’s existence does actually prove you wrong. He’s 5’6 , well-built , smooth and handsome, almost cunt houndy but now married to a hottie. But I think you meant dating as a hopeless short man is hopeless, yes I cannot argue with that

Well I don’t know you and I don’t want to pretend that I do, but it is pretty clear the real reason you were frustrated - when a man hates eating vegetables he also tends to be averse to eating tight Asian pussy

Is this view even challengeable? “Some men waste women’s time in relationships and long term relationships without intending to ever marry her.” Yes, of course, what a keen observation Edit: Thanks for the gold!

But a woman’s SMV higher than her literal looksmatch’s is. I think that’s what bothers the incels - they are much less valuable sexually than their looksmatches are and they feel cheated somehow. For example, if we took a person (let’s say you) and somehow created the other gender of you using you DNA and made them the same age as you and put girl-you and boy-you naked in a glass box together... boy-you would be down to fuck...would girl-you also be down? Maybe not

Sorry I didnt see your response before- I might be making too many assumptions but I think if I were more “S” it would be healthier for more brain - I wish I were more grounded and in the now-ness , whereas my relatively high “N” score makes me ruminate on the past and fantasize about future too much? Maybe S vs N isn’t really my exact problem - I wish you could temporarily try out other modes of thinking though lol

Interesting I was just curious. It’s sort of a gray area (gift vs earned income). I have a feeling woman are receiving much more “cash donations” than men on a grand scale - throwing off wage income studies

Same - I’ve taken it at least ten times in the past decade and I’ve always been INFP. The only thing that changed as I got older is that I started shifting closer to ENFP, almost on the cusp between the two, but this change in results only makes me believe in it more

One of my best friends is a woman. We were friends before puberty though (we’re now in our 30s), I wonder if that helped (in terms of not being attracted to each other), it’s almost a brother-sister bond.

Eventually dildos will evolve into chad cyborgs so many women will have one eventually- even more men will have the Stacy equivalent sexbot, some even splurging for the latest model (Stacy 3000XXX). On their own bodies they’ll each have a body suit equipped with sensors so they can control the robot in their e-lovers’ room. This way everyone can have hot sex through their tabletphonecomputer. I wouldn’t be surprised if cuddlebotting was an even more prevalent exercise.

It’s hard-wired. One time a close girl friend of mine moved to a new town. The popular girls invited her on a play date (they were like 13 years old). When my friend arrived there all the girls that had invited her ran away. My friend had to miss several days of school, cried all week, and said it was one of the most hurtful thing that ever happened to her. This is a good example of “female violence” : exclusion. I believe there have been studies that “being excluded” can be as painful for women…

It’s in their best interest to not understand it. Henry Cavill isn’t “accusing most women of being liars.” That’s just what the women are shrieking. Really, he is a young wealthy famous man - and it’s his belief - that it is reasonable to be extremely cautious around women in the current climate. Now, when weak low-quality men check-out of the market it is funny and a relief. But when famous handsome wealthy men suggest it is reasonable to withhold attention and resources - make sure you send th…

I understand what you mean. It’s because people actually care what valuable white men say. Things powerful white men say are most likely to influence society. Women and minorities have more freedom to say whatever they want, because whatever they say “matters less” by default because they said it. The power women do have is angry mob mentality. So they use angry outraged mob tactics and attack powerful white male individuals if they go off script.

sex bots wont fill the hole in their penis' hearts, but consider this possibility - what if one day there is a sex robot that can do the following: whenever you eskimo kiss her (rub her nose with your nose) it will initiate a sequence in which she creates fresh pizza dough inside her, which is then excreted from her vaginal canal, like puffy labia, serving as a one-time use vagina which she can slough off afterwards. It's actually not trivial unfortunately. BMI is misleading about 18% of the time in the US. BUT the thing is, when it's wrong for a man - it usually overestimated his fatness. When its wrong for a woman - it usually underestimated her fatness. Whenever someone here says men are fatter than women, they always cite a BMI study without fail. It's not a coincidence. We should be measuring waist instead I think we already had this convo

I know you agree, but it's worth mentioning to anyone who doesn't follow that straight women are more likely to have a sexually transmitted disease than straight men, more sexual partners, and yes, more anal sex received. Even standing near a yuppie girl on the subway can be dangerous if she queefs

is this someone you ;) ? Do you mind sharing your waist-to-hip ratio? Hips are at the hip bone, waist is at the belly button. If you gained a little fat. where it would it go? your waist? I doubt that. Maybe for men that's the most likely spot. Can you gain hip, thigh, butt muscle? Would you do gentle corset training? the gymnasts would sleep with me
/r/PurplePillDebate14/12/17 07:13 PM

What is the body that you get when you get fit? It depends on your exercise type, your regiment, your diet, etc I'm not obsessing over fat people. You said WtH can't be changed -it can- for everyone on Earth.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/12/17 06:41 PM

These are world-class CHILD athletes. I think they'd be insulted to know that you believe "they were born with these bodies." I'm guessing you have no idea how much work was required to pack MUSCLE on their CORE. Yes if they lose some muscle and gain some fat their waist to hip ratio would improve. Also, if the average woman lost the extra 30 to 40 pounds (!!!!!) she is carrying, her waist to hip ratio would improve greatly, she would be very fuckable, and she doesn't even need a gym membership.…
/r/PurplePillDebate14/12/17 06:25 PM
4

Why can one be built , and not the other? Your proof by the way is too show me some of the most muscular underage women on the planet? Haha. Their hip to waist ratio would improve, in their case, when they gain some fat and maybe lose muscle. The AVG woman's Waist-to-hip would be considerably better if she lost about 30 to 40 pounds. This is the elephant in the room. It's nowhere near a fixed ratio.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/12/17 02:00 PM
2

Waist-to-hip ratio certainly changes. Hips are relatively fixed, but the waist isn't. There are ideal ratios for men as well, using chest-waist-hip measurements. I have a feeling both ideal bodies are tough to build, although I'll be looking snazzy this summer
/r/PurplePillDebate14/12/17 05:16 AM

No it doesn't imply that. Low influence females (M = .43, SE = .02) and low influence males (M = .40 SE = .03) did not differ from high influence males in how much they shared, but all three groups shared significantly more with their partners than high influence females did.

The Wikipedia article on cool was interesting and I thought it was apt that in the African philosophy section they liken "cool" to water. It's really the perfect analogy. Water naturally adapts to it's surroundings - but at the same time - never loses its essence. Cool is hard to define but generally someone who exudes cool has a a well-calibrated nervous system. Do you remember when the Pope came to Philadelphia? There were soldiers stationed at many intersections. My girlfriends loved it , they felt safer when they went out. I didn't love it, I was eyeballed as a potential threat. This is how I think of the police force at large, too. This is an example 'benefit' in my opinion that won't show up in the numbers

I don't think they're equivalent... But, I agree women shouldn't care about the plight of men in the SMP. The thing is, we don't consider women who don't care to "hate men." However, men are expected to care about the plight of women in society, and at times forced to ease their pain. For example, why should I care if people interrupt you too much? Why should I care if your healthcare costs more than the avg woman wants to spend on it (men are forced to pay more than they owe in the US to subsid…

No sorry I'm not buying it. Why don't you go edit the Wikipedia page of Toxic Masculinity so it matches what your view is. Here's an excerpt: Such "toxic" masculine norms include dominance, devaluation of women, extreme self-reliance, and the suppression of emotions. I've never heard anyone say only gay men read and eat vegetables, like wtf? And whenever I've heard someone say real men don't cry or a man crying makes them uncomfortable it has always been a woman. It needs more flesh! I think there's an interesting difference between misogynist and sexist. I am not a misogynist, but I think I am sexist. Although the Google definition of sexist says like negative discrimination typically against women (what a sexist definition by the way lol), I think of it more as treating men and women differently. Sexism can be very sexy when it's sweet

A young teenage girl thought I "catcalled" her at the shore this past summer. She was like 13 and I am 31 for reference. We are talking about who women fuck. Not who they procreate with, not who protects their child more. We won't talk about how modern children are overprotected to a fault here because that's also off-topic. Do we live in a society where women only have sex if they are conceiving a child? I don't see how a woman's higher standards in a fucking partner has anything to do with "good faith"...

Look at the two bottom quadrants on the NYT table for women. Add 24% and 15%. Thanks, I didn't see the 24% figure. Although I still feel the NIH's 2014 data is better than the CDC's 2006 data. Bodyfat is extremely hard to measure reliably and waist size, again, I'd like to see a correlation between that and BMI or bone size. This actually bolsters your argument, waist size is going to positively correlate with BMI more than it has historically precisely because so many people are in bad shape. I…

Why are you combining the sources? The NY Times source gives you what you need. 39% according to them (not your 33% is under 25 BMI). First of all, I'm not seeing in the NY Times article where they say 39% of women have a BMI under 25. Could you point it out? The NIH's data from 2013-2014 (that says 33%) is probably more relevant anyway to the current state of affairs than the CDC's data from 2005-2006 (which you are saying is 39%). I agree it's somewhat bad form to combine sources, but I think …

Oh snap, we agree. With the caveat being that modern sluts are ickier in my opinion due to more rampant STDs and the curiously selective dismantling of the Patriarchy - in which women can sexually be like a hunter-gatherer, but but also leave the resource-extracting Patriarchy protocols intact. Quite possibly making them the ickiest sluts ever: if every American child were magically DNA tested simultaneously, there would be utter chaos

Just so we're on the same page, I was referencing the following sources: NY TIMES How Often is BMI Misleading and also this source that I was originally responding to for a general BMI breakdown. Here's where my 45% approximation comes from: The NY Times estimated that 15% of the total female population is SkinnyFatTM , however, according to the NIH, only 33% of the total female population has a BMI below 25. The other 67% of the population is overweight/obese (with a very small major…

It's very wrong for at least 45% of normal women though (!), who are fatter than it suggests, this is alarming. It's also very wrong for at least 25% of 'overweight' men who are penalized for muscle. Your position banks on the fact that it is very accurate at the extremes, this pulls up it's overall accuracy, but it's NOT A GOOD ESTIMATE at the median, do you understand that? Someone who has a BMI of 24.9 and 25% fat , according to that article, would be healthy normal if they lost 6 ounces of f…

Is this a sarcastic comment? I loved that link, it showed how often BMI is wrong (18% of the time) bit that doesn't mean it was "on point" 82% of the time. When it is wrong, it's almost always overestimating a man's fatness and underestimating a woman's fatness. And that data is from 2006! The planet is fatter now. And the median individual is the one BMI is most likely to be wrong for!!!! Holy shit Edit: BMI is most accurate at the extremes. It's harder to correctly sort those in the middle. Wh…

Right so roughly the same number of unhealthy fat and healthy weight for both genders, but when BMI is wrong (roughly 18% of the time) it tends to underestimate a woman's fatness overestimate a man's.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/10/17 10:42 PM

That could be true. I meant that a lot of these studies should start taking waist size when possible. I have my healthcare exam in two weeks and they'll definitely take my waist
/r/PurplePillDebate17/10/17 10:35 PM
3

Why are you subtracting the two though? I think the data is compelling when you consider what percentage of overweight men don't have EXCESS fat and what percentage of normal women do. Based on the original BMI data, 73.7% of men are overweight/obese, but 12% of all men are "healthy obese." So of those that are overweight/obese, almost 1 in 6 are really not. This is also true for almost 1 in 20 women who are overweight/obese but only because they have more muscle than average (my favorite women)…

I haven't clicked the link yet but my dick is already getting hard Edit: Thank you very much! And although the article is from 2015, the data is from 2005-2006. I'd wager there are even more Skinny Fats now
/r/PurplePillDebate17/10/17 08:27 PM

It's not just a rough proxy though. It's a misleading metric. Skinny Fats are one the rise
/r/PurplePillDebate17/10/17 08:21 PM

But why not add waist size? I can't find it now but there is a calculator that uses height, weight, and waist to produce more accurate readings.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/10/17 08:19 PM

Incorporate waist size! People have known BMI is a crude measurement for years , but with there is an alarming rise of Skinny Fats in the US, both men and women, which makes BMI worse than crude, almost misleading
/r/PurplePillDebate17/10/17 08:12 PM
1

Even if a voluptuous 5'3" 140 lbs woman carries her fat well, how she is not fatter than me? Her body fat percentage is, on average, close to 35%.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/10/17 08:04 PM
1

Sadly, youre probably right. It's time to abandon BMI though.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/10/17 07:58 PM
1

Yes and a lb of muscle equals a lb of fat on those tables. What percentage of "overweight" men are thinner than "normal" women?
/r/PurplePillDebate17/10/17 07:41 PM
1

But BMI doesn't differentiate between muscle and fat, so the gender with much more muscle on avg is penalized across the board. For example, I'm "overweight" at 6ft and 185 lbs... But I'm actually lean (30" waist). A 5 ft 3in woman who weighs 140 lbs has the same BMI as me lol!

Creatine is legit. I have L-citrulline but haven't given it a full go yet, to be honest it's very sour and hard for me to drink. The only other supplement I would recommend (besides creatine and citrulline) is cordyceps. If you find good cordyceps (especially the sinesis variety rather than militaris) it really makes me feel amazing - like you are getting more oxygen somehow! And caffeine of course. But yeah I should probably ease off the pre-mixed powders...
/r/PurplePillDebate16/10/17 08:26 PM

I'm with you man, I drink whole milk. I recently discovered "heavy whipping cream" for my white Russians... It's like breast milk , I add it to coffee and even soups, after drinking coffee black for years. I agree preworkouts can be sketchy but creatine is legit and I like the caffeine rush.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/10/17 08:23 PM

Well I typically exercise in an otherwise fasted state. The pre-workout gives me zeal. I only almost fainted because it was heated power yoga, which I'm still acclimating to, I've done yoga for years non-heated. And everyone should take creatine at least! But I hear you, a good diet is most important

/r/PurplePillDebate14/10/17 01:11 AM

That's interesting. BMI is wack though, it should go by your waist to height ratio. My insurance is set up that you have to pass 3 out of 5 measurements: cholesterol ratio, blood pressure, glucose levels (fasted), BMI and something else. Then smoking is a whole separate penalty. I don't mind contributing more than I should owe to help society at large, but I feel like I'm being gouged and everyone around me is soft weak and lazy

That's a good point too. I always get a little too idealistic. I rarely ever go to the doctor, I'm healthy as a horse, and if I lose my job, being able to afford mandatory health insurance (which is overpriced for me everywhere!) would be one of my biggest concerns. So it triggers my biscuits a little when I hear it…

A.) Birth control makes you more susceptible to depression and causes weight gain on avg. It's not completely proven yet which is why (B) the companies and organizations couldn't possibly be accounting for the total damages birth control causes. No because under your method - rape isn't even possible. If a woman isn't lifting at the gym or learning tae kwan do, then it means she didn't want to be able to defend herself, ergo she wanted to be pillaged and now we can't say it was a raping. Millions of years ago, the first men convinced the first women to "take a chance" and leave the safety of the trees before women were really ready to do so. So they were too dependent on men for survival, at times a burden. This is what relegated them to baby making vessels that needed to be kept alive and they were also a lot of fun. Had women won that first argument and stayed in the trees until they were ready, we'd all be chilling in the jungle rubbing our clits and dickheads together and wo…

I think when you boil men and women down to strictly their genitalia... You can actually learn a lot about their characters. Look at a vagina: it is prettier, almost floral, stabler and more durable according to some faggles around here, but also more prone to infection and disease! Then theres a penis, it looks alien and awkward. If you've never seen a penis before and then you met your penis it would be the funniest thing ever. But the penis is generally cleaner and more unassuming too

Rihanna discussed this in an interview once. Apparently from her song "Rude Boy" where she sings, "Come here rude boy, boy Is you big enough?" She was actually concerned for a time in her life that having such a large vagina would make it difficult to find a suitable lover. Notice also that she wants a rude boy, not a polite boy, and hopefully the rude boy is large enough for her enormous vagine.

I don't agree that women are "taking out as much as men". They receive more by almost every measure AND contribute less. They are a protected class. So even in terms of the police force, men and women fund it together... but who really benefits?? Then someone will say, men and women benefit! Yes but not equally.. certainly not proportionally to the money we paid in. It's interesting to me that this is controversial.

Whether it's disability, social security, Medicare etc, it's always a roughly 60% to 40% split in favor of women. Either tax women more to compensate or spend less money on them. To speak to your point, if women can not afford to support their children, they should lose custody of them to the state and be sterilized. If we're going to crowd-source raising these children, let's go the whole hog and do it more effectively

It was a hypothetical question. The OP claimed men and women age equally and both lose SMV at an alarming rate. I got plenty of ass when I was younger. But 30 year old males have more sex appeal to the female population at large than 20 year old males do. The same isn't true for women. Hell when I was in college, 25 year olds seemed old and creepy. So to recap, OPs claim is that men and women age equally and both lose SMV at an alarming (the same?) rate. I disagreed. Then everyones rebuttal is, …

I'll grant you that actually having a full beard may not help someone's case, but I think someone's beard growth potential is relevant, if not 'important,' meaning that even stubble looks better when it has more coverage. Facial hair protects skin from damage -further slowing decay- skin with active hair follicles has been shown to heal better and faster - even if the hair is not grown out long. From Neave and Shields (2008): "...women found men with light stubble most attractive; these men were…
/r/PurplePillDebate31/08/17 11:00 PM

It's not exactly an anecdote. Almost all men naturally gain facial hair and bone density until their early 30s. Men and women don't value neoteny equally when making their SMV assessments too. So forgive the anecdote, but I'm sexier now!
/r/PurplePillDebate31/08/17 10:20 PM

Men do wrinkle more slowly, due to more collagen, kind of like black vs white people. I'm personally fitter at 31 than I was at 21. My beard is thicker, my bones are denser (true for most men). I'm starting to grey on the sides like Little Finger, but I'll never bald. I was certainly 'cuter' at 21 (someone here recently posted a Prince William then vs now) but my SMV is higher now in my opinion. I think another factor is that women's SMV is starting so much higher. Even though everyone ages, we'…

Or any opinions on how evolution intended men to have facial hair, and it increases masculinity? (even though it's only a stubble beard, not a full one) Here's my guess/opinion Research suggests that hair follicle stem cells help wounds heal faster and better. I'd like to see the other half of the experiment though. Is this really about men doubting the competency of women? Women police themselves. By the way the initial hand-off didn't real say much for me. Whenever someone says "OK I'm coming in and taking over," customers typically reset a little - start fresh. Do sexist attitudes exist towards women? Yes of course. As they should in my opinion. As for the whole "women are children" line, I've never agreed with that. Women are dangerous.

My bad I was wrong. Musculoskeletal and connective disorders is the most common reason (at roughly 32% as of 2013) but the umbrella category of 'Mental disorders' is a relatively close 2nd (at 26%) and the even more non-descript 'All other impairments' was 3rd with 16%. This is all excluding disabled adult children, who are typically intellectual disabled (is this how they say mentally retarded now a days?). I always think of sperm racing to the egg as like a survival of the fittest sort of battle, so the more the merrier. You have to wonder if quality is also worse, not just concentration. It's a pretty treacherous voyage, if I ever have a baby - i'm sending my best troops and as many as possible.

the sad thing is there are a lot of factors contributing to it. Men (on avg) are fatter and weaker than their fathers. They're less active, they eat like shit, they're bombarded with chemicals like you said, and i bet they are jerking off way too much. even common pharmaceuticals like anti-depressants can lower T as well. every modern man owes it to himself to filter his water religiously, exercise, and for once retain his semen for at least four weeks, at which point he will be able to shoot a …

Why is misogyny in quotes though? If you're saying that actual misogynists hate female sexuality- I agree- they likely hate a lot of things about women. My beef is, I feel like it's very easy to be perceived as a ""misogynist"" now-a-days. I could beat ten different horses to death right now but one is enough for now.

you're technically correct, but I think you'd also be surprised by how many men are raising children they think are theirs. The tide is turning (even though monogamous men are still producing more offspring right now).

Yea I can see that. I've gone about 5 - 6 months completely unkempt. some girls really liked it, but it made me feel like more of a niche product. It hid my handsome face too (haha) and I looked older. I hover around heavy scruff/light beard and in my experience it has more of a mass appeal.

Very true- you are spot on, although my best success with it has come from chewing fresh leaves into a cud and keeping it under my tongue, which is how natives originally used it supposedly. It was much gentler and longer lasting. I have smoked concentrations as well and it is like the most cartoonish unexplainable experience. I think of it as a soft reset for my brain. It's really in its own class, but I think it can be useful under the right circumstances. Edit: I did not mean cud, more like q…

Hufflepuffs are nerds and sheep. They are not respected because they are too Agreeable on the Big 5. If everyone at Hogwarts was a Hufflepuff, Voldemort would have simply walked in the front door of Hogwarts and said, "Hey everyone, I'm back and I'm in charge now, " instead of there being a war. You are correct, especially depending on the location and season, women may have even gathered more food than men could hunt at times. However to speak to your OP - there was a study exploring the differences between benevolent sexism and hostile sexism, and how women perceived men. The interesting thing was that women often perceived men who weren't benevolent or hostile (aka "the least sexist") as misogynists, they preferred benevolent sexism generally.

The female materialism drive is more problematic to our society (and planet) than the male sex drive is.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/05/17 11:10 PM

No sorry, that's a pretty good attempt though. I'm looping the CDC in on this one. I'll even make an updated post once I have the evidence. Youll probably see it, the title will be "Women in their 30s do not have the highest birth rate"
/r/PurplePillDebate19/05/17 08:20 PM

It's not correct & it's not technically correct either. Im not "doubling down on my mistake," I haven't made one. I promise you, you still don't understand why you're wrong. I didn't misread the headline. I recognized why it isn't true immediately. If you tell me why the headline ISN'T TRUE in both a technical sense and non-technical sense, I will kiss your feet. But I have a feeling at this point, you'll never be able to.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/05/17 08:09 PM

Of course I understand that. You don't know what to tell me because you don't understand why you're wrong
/r/PurplePillDebate19/05/17 07:57 PM

"Women in their 30s have the highest birth rate" is not a true statement. If you don't understand why, you never will.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/05/17 07:41 PM

TWENTIES = 20 to 29 THIRTIES = 30 to 39 There is nothing arbitrary about that! Holy shit!
/r/PurplePillDebate18/05/17 11:15 PM

FALSE
/r/PurplePillDebate18/05/17 11:10 PM

Women in their 20s have a higher birthrate then women in their 30s.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/05/17 11:09 PM

I went directly to the CDC. According to their data, in 2016, women 25 to 29 had the highest birthrate. Women 30 to 34 had the second highest. "women in their twenties" had considerably more births than "women in their Thirties." Even if Women from 30 to 34 eeked out 25 to 29 in the first quarter of 2017, it's odd to say that women in 30s have a higher birthrate than women in their 20s. Women in their 20s had the most babies in 2016. They had the most babies this month, this week, and even this …
/r/PurplePillDebate18/05/17 10:39 PM

I went to the link. There isn't data there. They don't have the actual numbers because Q4 is still an estimate for 2016. Women in their 20s have a higher birthrate than women in their 30s.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/05/17 10:16 PM

Where is data? For what time period is this? According to the CDC, for 2016, births per 1000 women: 25-29 = 103.025 30-34 = 102.55 Also, even if women 30-34 were the highest birthing cohort of Q1 2017, it's fucking odd to me that someone would say "women in 30s have higher birthrate then women in 20s" because we all know the 20-24 year olds are out producing 35-39 yo. In 2016, per 1000: 20-29: 89 30-39: 77.5 My data is directly from CDC.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/05/17 10:10 PM

That is an excellent point. You've changed my mind a lil
/r/PurplePillDebate16/05/17 11:09 PM

/r/PurplePillDebate16/05/17 06:23 PM

/r/PurplePillDebate16/05/17 06:14 PM

Charts from article adjusted for scale http://imgur.com/a/ckSVV
/r/PurplePillDebate16/05/17 06:11 PM

It doesn't matter if it's getting smaller, we are still passing it. If boys are more likely to die at every stage of life I would agree that would contribute to males being less likely to reproduce. The poster before me made it sound like everyone fundamentally doesn't understand mitochondrial vs Y studies and why it's totally bull shit, but it isnt
/r/PurplePillDebate16/05/17 06:07 PM

Yes I'm sure. Their data didn't find reproductive skew to be low. They were basing that assertion on previous studies from the 1990s that studied testicle size and sperm viscosity. By the way, what do they consider to be a low amount of skew? How much skew is there, however low? Where is the data?
/r/PurplePillDebate16/05/17 05:38 PM

"Most men who have kids don't reproduce in the sense that their Y chromosome eventually dies out"? Why does it die out? If they don't have any boys one generation? The same is true for a women's mitochondrial DNA if she doesnt have any girls. Yes she'll pass the mitochondrial DNA to her boys, but it dies with them. I'd like to see the actual paper rather then having femsplained to me by Francine, Melissa, and that Greek lady
/r/PurplePillDebate16/05/17 05:06 PM

I never said it didn't. Let me ask you, What is the fact that we are missing??
/r/PurplePillDebate16/05/17 04:59 PM

Yea Im agreeing agriculture made it worse. You were the one suggesting it was more or less equal before agriculture. Your 1st source suggests that isn't true, but you're struggling to understand the graph. Your 2nd source is almost more damning. They consider a low level of polygamy to mean less than 20% of men were polygamous. LOL. Hmm sound familiar? If most people were in a monogamous marriage, like you say, but we also have twice as many female ancestors than males, then women have been cuck…
/r/PurplePillDebate16/05/17 04:49 PM

You don't understand it. The graph goes from about 70,000 years ago to today. The point of the article is that there was a severe dip in the number of men reproducing after the dawn of agriculture (10,000 years). You implied that maybe it was more equal before agriculture. See how it looks like the same amount of men and women were reproducing based on the graphs between 10000 and 50000 years ago? My warning is that they are using different scales of population size. Holy shit
/r/PurplePillDebate16/05/17 03:56 PM

Please notice the differences of scale they had to use on the right-hand side of the graph.... Your making it sound like a roughly equal number of men and women reproduced before agriculture, not true at all
/r/PurplePillDebate16/05/17 03:42 PM

Np that's a good paranoia to have. As a side note, my biology teacher in high school was a very fit interesting man, and whenever his wife was pregnant - he joined her in solidarity in her diet, no drinking no smoking etc. I always thought that was the most charming thing
/r/PurplePillDebate11/05/17 09:31 PM

let me look
/r/PurplePillDebate11/05/17 09:17 PM

Counter-point: there was a study that suggested the mother's diet during pregnancy influenced some genes to activate/or not activate, up to 8%. The effect was so pronounced it that the pregnancy diet even influenced their grandchildren's DNA (!)

/r/PurplePillDebate11/05/17 08:56 PM

Can we just start with sugar for now? I don't want to flip the whole market upside-down, although I like where your head is at.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/05/17 08:47 PM

I could get on board with this. Much more realistic although not as exciting. And a divorce under your system is so sad! You just send your spouse a card revoking your declaration of love and get notarized?
/r/PurplePillDebate11/05/17 08:45 PM

No it's not satire. I can see how it reads like that. My goal is not to trap people in a marriage. Everyone who is already married can still get a divorce. But I believe someone should only be allowed to marry if they are willing to bet their life on it. No more Luke warm marriages
/r/PurplePillDebate11/05/17 08:31 PM

For severe spousal abuse you could still call the police and have charges pressed against your spouse but it would still be illegal to divorce them. For cheating, that is a risk you take when you marry them. I agree it is an extreme law, if you are not willing to irrevocably bind to another you arent really "marrying" This would hopefully put an end to "convenient for the time being" marriages The fact that we are paying farmers to grow sugar in this day and age sickens me.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/05/17 08:28 PM

Sugar shouldn't be subsidized. Why are we propping up that industry? I want more vegetables, fruit, hemp/marijuana

I noticed this seemed common to me when I studied abroad in Australia. Where I lived they were more homophobic than I was used to (although this was ten years) and heavy drinkers, there was a surprising string of "straight men making out in public" incidents, so who knows what went on privately.

I really love this question, although I'm ultimately not sure how to answer it. I think the media-consumer-culture machine is designed to make men and women feel inadequate. I think inadequateness is the overlapping bit. This self-hatred is going to surface in varying degrees, for some depression (which is also expressed differently by different people - some are angry, some feel dead) , or anxiety, or both. I think it's interesting that car insurance companies can charge people based on their gender (when men cost more), but it is illegal and "sexist" for health insurance companies to do so (when women cost more). Men are more talented at driving, women are more cautious. That's why everyone disagrees about who is better.

/r/PurplePillDebate01/04/17 08:28 PM

His sentiment that "lifting is completely pointless for most men" is poisonous talk. It's a harmful lie. Most modern men are weaker than their fathers were. So I don't want to hear that lifting is completely pointless if you'll never 'look amazing.' you owe it to yourself to strive towards your own potential. Men need lifting more than ever. I agree that learning about the wall could be discouraging but everyone hits it at different speeds and ultimately forewarned is forearmed. OP is discouragi…

Maybe I'm just being nitpicky but i think it depends on what you're paying for - is it something you need vs want? Does it add value to your life? Someone gave me a classy looking Lululemon coupon (it looked like a wedding invitation) that would save me $20 on a $100 purchase. But I just let it expire. It's not really saving me $20 if I spent $80 that I wouldn't have otherwise spent (these are coincidentally the real numbers lol). It's like a trick, you're not really saving money. That coupon ju…

I do understand why taxes exist. And I even understand that sometimes taxes will go towards things I don't support. But it isn't sometimes these days, it's often. Let's take your point for example: paying for birth control now will save tax payers more money in the long run (less pregnancy / unwanted children)*. My point is, wouldn't it actually save taxpayers money if women who choose to have sex purchase their own birth control? If a woman can't afford birth control (and/or she can't afford co…

Are we talking about tax dollars or healthcare premiums? I think it rubs a lot of young men the wrong way that car insurance companies can charge them more (because they are statistically a bigger risk) but then when it comes to healthcare (ACA) gender rating is illegal (meaning women can't be charged more based on their gender). ?? I don't mind helping the elderly or disabled, but maybe these strong independent women could pay their portion of the check. When women owe more (healthcare) - we sp…

we don't know if that will be true in sixty years. we are in the midst of a paradigm shift. The type of men who didn't marry fifty years ago are a different demographic from the men not marrying today. And the women the men were marrying were different too. best of luck to everybody

My favorite analogy is to liken it to the gun safety expression: All guns are always loaded. You never point a gun at someone (or pull the trigger) even if you 'know' it isn't loaded! BP response: but every gun isn't actually loaded. Some guns will never actually be fired. But it's safest to treat every gun as if it is. It doesn't matter if it really isn't and you checked ten times. Also- in your example, you are saying the RP would be guilty of the Gambler's fallacy - that they assume the coin …

I think it's somewhat of a semantics issue. Ideally you never wear a mask. If you fake it until you make it - your face isn't growing over the mask - instead the mask vanishes. Believing you are better than someone in order to not be offended is also disagreeable to me. I agree with you that taking yourself too seriously is detrimental, and maybe many terps do, but I don't believe it's advised. My point was that taking yourself too seriously isn't advised and op's view was flawed. The alpha types you described are also unflappable in a sense. I think you can be alpha without being quick to violence (wouldn't they have to respect the source of the disrespect enough to be offended). I think I am an alpha beta gamma m…
/r/PurplePillDebate06/02/17 03:20 AM

Stoic doesn't mean autistic rigid robot, it's about unflappability. Counter-intuitively, decreasing your ego increases your unflappability. Can you balance this with confidence too? oh yea I think 'amused mastery' disgusts you if it's phony or put-on (like a mask). But if you are really relaxed and calm and your Ego is far off and someone teases you - it is slightly amusing and fun even. So crack a smile! Sexism (against women) and misandry are not interchangeable terms in my opinion. There was an interesting study I can try to dig up that differentiated between benevolent sexism and malevolent sexism. They found that men who were not sexist, who treated women the same way they would treat men, were more likely to be perceived as misogynists than men who were benevolent sexists. For example, a man who gives up his seat on a train for a woman (but wouldn't have offered his seat to a man) would be …

I was thinking about non-option analogies too. Like if every man on Earth was completely gay tomorrow - would it be fair for straight women to complain they don't have options now? Or would we tell them to go fuck themselves or go fuck an animal? Or what if every man on Earth literally vanished? How would female sexuality respond to that? I'm legitimately curious too. Because the thing is, straight women do have demand for sex with straight men, whereas straight men have zero demand for gay sex.…

This is true (just last night I told you I wish I was gay sometimes lol)
/r/PurplePillDebate27/01/17 06:21 PM

I think most men do want feminine women. I agree that most men don't prefer hyper-feminine women, but that doesn't mean they want "a gay man in a woman's body." Personally I'll admit my favorite type of women is physically more masculine than other women (meaning she runs well, has toned muscle) but is still feminine spirited. Sometimes I do wish I was gay but that is a separate issue.

You don't get it. You cannot use retrospective data like that. The future isn't going to be like the past. The numbers were produced by real science and are therefore estimates aka educated guesses. For example - what were the odds of quadriplegic person regaining control of their arms ten years ago??? Scientists would have said, "Sorry there's no chance you'll ever use your arms again." Furthermore, I think women tend to marry men who are happier and healthier in the first place (of the men who are willing to marry). But even if the average married man is happier, healthier, and more satisfied than the average non-married man, he is likely less so than 'successful' men who did not choose marriage on purpose. When you try to "witness" yourself behaving , or watching from a birds point of view, analyzing, it is too much cognitive load to also naturally experience the event.
