This is going to get down voted to oblivion, but I think you sound bitter and immature (which is unfortunate since you're probably in your late 40's if I'm doing the math right). Your relationship with this woman was based on the erroneous supposition that she was a unicorn. Your desire to settle down led you to overlook things that you found to be unacceptable and then you were disappointed that she didn't live up to your expectations. There were plenty of red flags throughout the early part of…

That's great. I think you'll be amazed at how different life can seem if you just approach it with a positive attitude. Obviously everyone has bad days and horrific things happen to good people, but the day-to-day of life really is what you make of it.

Sounds like a good plan given her responses. Good luck with the next.

I'm not big on playing disinterested when I really have been interested in a woman, but on the other hand overeager is not good either. If you're interested in her then I think it's fine to respond to her question with the short 'no' and leave it at that. If she wants to turn that into an invitation or more conversation then that's on her, but I wouldn't chase.

First of all, stop blaming your parents. Your childhood was what it was. You can't control what happens to you but you can decide how to think about it and how to respond. I came to realise that "nothing good will come out of it" or "something good may come out of it, but it is not worth the investment, and the amount of negatives will vastly outnumber positives". Like I seriously think "there's no good movies to watch" If you're going into every experience with those thoughts, there's nothing a…

First of all, change your attitude. Be open to ANY experience and please be more open to the possibility that interesting people exist in the world. Honestly, I'm getting the impression you're sitting on a pretty high horse right now and genuinely don't see the value in meeting new people nor do you believe anyone can teach you anything. Perhaps I'm reading something into your tone that isn't there, but it's worth saying that that's the impression you're giving me. What impression do you give in…

Thanks for the advice, though I probably need to focus on my lifting for another year to make the impression that you seem to make. I'm also engaged so I'm not really looking to pick up women, I'll leave the fun to you young, single guys, but I definitely have a buddy that this would be great for him to try this year. I think I misunderstood the intention of your comment that dressing that way "will have women putting their hands all over you." I thought you were implying that when you have dres…

I kinda feel that trying to be social is going to be Nice Guy syndrome all over again for me. You're missing the point entirely then. You acknowledged that you used socialization to find validation previously. That is a good realization and a healthy one but validation is not the only thing that can come from expanding your social circle. You don't need to placate people to make friends, at least not in any regular kind of basis, and you shouldn't do it just so you can confirm for yourself you'r…

I think these are both decent options depending on your personality and the rapport you have built with her so far, though, "im just not" might provoke more probing questions so I'd lean more towards the first option.

Do you really have regular success with this? This may be way off, but do you think it's in part due to them feeling on some subconscious level that they are somehow in competition (for attention) against you since you are probably both dressed relatively similarly? In response, they need to one up you in the sexy or feminine department so their slut game picks up?

This. I've realized that I previously would only look for women when I felt like I was in a place that was where one would typically meet women (in social situations, bars, etc.) and completely ignored them everywhere else. Once a friend reminded me that the same women I look for at bars or whatever also probably grocery shop and buy books and drink coffee, I started noticing those attractive women everywhere. Then it was just a matter to get over how it felt unnatural at first to approach women…

I see two very different questions here. The first question is about how to have gotten out of the situation with the girl when she said no to unprotected sex. I'm unsure why you needed to leave. I know others have a different opinion, but to me, the reason you left and your interest level in her would play into how you excused yourself. Scenario 1: She was made uncomfortable after you pushed about the condom and was unwilling to be physical past this point (totally understandable in my opinion)…

Dude, it sounds like you're pushing some women way too hard to do stupid shit that should make anyone uncomfortable. No condoms? Really? You're probably not going to get a rape charge but more likely a reputation as a dick. This is not the alpha behavior that draws women to you. This is my problem with this sub sometimes. Dudes confuse being strong, holding frame, and leading your woman with trying to take whatever it is you want and being disrespectful/stupid in the process. This kind of short-…
