Ive got an alternate idea that wont rock the boat: if you've ever read the 4 hour work week the author mentions how in university whenever he didnt get an A on a paper he made up a list of detailed questions, that would take well over an hour to go through, then went to the teacher and went through it all to exhaust them telling them he did this whenever he didn't get an A so he knew what to improve ​ guess who always got A's unless he did something really erroneous

Personal opinion: the difference between HS and uni boils down to class sizes and overall campus size.
