Thank you for your post. I like your opposition to the norm, it reinforces what I was just realizing again, that is it only up to myself to make a difference and no deeper reading will provide me answers. A few comments I'd like to add: *When you say it lasts only a couple of minutes, could we say that such effect is drawing on willpower, which is sometimes attributed to be a finite resource? Thus you read something, get pumped up, might succeed, but then it will deflate and you need to encourag…

Could someone explain what's the deal with the question 'can you take a picture of us?' From the other comments it almost looks like a rhetoric question that is asked so much that guys are coming up with funny (take a picture of self?) ways to counter act. Why is it so? I am puzzled... I have also noticed a lone man siting in a park and some girls from a table further away going up to him to ask if he could take a picture of them.
