70% of the time that father's ask for equal shared custody they get it. And if they asked for it, more would. The problem is that most men don't for various reasons, including simply not being able to take care of a kid half the time. The fact is if you want it and ask the court for it, most likely you're going to get it. Now are you going to get it if your job has you on the road five days a week? Of course not, that would be dumb. And yes it is something very routine if you ask for it.

Actually unlike you, I have actual research to back up what I'm saying. See New England Law review and Southern Poverty which have both verified through study that father's routinely get at least 50/50 custody if they ask for it. Because most men are like those on this sub who are uneducated about family law, they routinely do not ask for it and screw themselves.

Accountant. I law as a hobby, plus it's beneficial when I have to deal with my clients lawyers.

Then you bring home divorce papers. Because no, she can't 'take your daughter', that isn't how this works.

You have anecdotal evidence, I have research from Southern Poverty and New England Law Review.

Actually it's not. Men just don't ask for it.

Yes, 50/50 with a baby. Babies can be bottle fed. And no I don't have kids. But if that's what you value, then yes you are going to be in a position to have to split assets if you divorce. That's your choice.

Well not alimony. Chances are of this is kid #1, the marriage isn't long enough to qualify for alimony. You have to be married for quite some time for alimony to come into play. Alimony also has to be requested, it's not an automatic thing. And if she's just off maternity leave, her ability to earn income will come into child support calculations. They would share custody 50/50 most likely. Basically, get ahead of it before too much time passes, and he should end up fairly ok.

He needs to divorce her at that time. There's nothing else to do. If you don't like the terms of a contract, don't enter into one.

Never the less if both parties agreed to the arrangement, one cannot just walk away and leave the other destitute. If you agree to something, you have to accept the consequences of that agreement.

Gee, then most of the first dates I've been on the men were entitled as shit since I paid because I asked.

Yeah actually I do, and I have in the past. Squabbling over the check is a pet peeve of mine. I've paid for dinner for almost twenty people before because I can't do the squabbling over who owes what and badgering the poor waitress to split the check ten thousand ways. Between friends it usually works out. One pays now, the other pays next time. We are adults and can discuss how much something will cost as part of the overall discussion on where to go.

It may very well be cultural. I've paid for plenty of first dates because I was the one doing the asking. And I would be really really hesitant about such a ridiculously expensive first date anyway. I could definitely see that as a sign that we are really uncompatible and decline the date completely.

I don't necessary find keeping female friends difficult, I just have zero hobbies and interests that expose me to many of them. I've slept with some of my friends, I wouldn't say it's even approaching half though. I also have high regard for most of my former relationships. The men I pick to be with are good men and are deserving of that regard. And if I did suddenly stop talking to those men I'd have zero social life as they are pretty engrained into our circle. Mutual respect is the theme that…

I've had over four dozen. And I'm the farthest from jaded and cynical you can get. I love men. All, and I do mean all, my friends are men. I stand by them when they're in the right and I call them out when they're wrong. They do the same for me. I care about them. Am I less 'feminine'? Well I don't care about clothes, cut my hair twice a year, and generally don't care about make up or traditional 'women's' things. I neither need nor want marriage and I hate kids. I'm too busy fixing up the house…

Uh no..... that goes to the question of who's financially responsible for this date. If you ask me out and tell me we're going somewhere with $100+ plate dinners, you'd best be planning in paying because I'm not spending my hard earned money on what will become over-priced shit.

I guess I just don't see the point. I've never known anyone's personality, goals, etc to really be affected by their partner count. I would imagine that's why most people don't care, because it really doesn't matter.

That's fine. Just don't expect women to be ok with that kind of hipocrisy. Hipocrisy is never ok. You can still look for a low number partner if you have a high number, but you're severely limiting the dating pool of women willing to accept that.

But you can fuck dozens of women and it's ok, right? Because women are ok running into your past partners everywhere and getting an STD from you.

You're very much so confusing criminal with civil law.

Yup. Which is exactly the decision this woman made. My SO wouldn't be sitting nearly so pretty financially without me.

Well, perhaps if men would stop killing women for having sex out of wedlock, rape accusations would abate. Just a thought.

Forcing anyone to have sex, regardless of their relation to you, is absolutely rape.

Because I've turned down hot, rich, white men before because something was "off" about them. Granted I may have a better sniffer for those who are mentally ill or whatever, but being a good-looking, rich guy doesn't help if every time you get within 3 feet of a girl her internal panic alarm starts going off because her subconscious realizes you are perfectly ok with strangling her to death if she doesn't comply with your wishes. Here's the thing. He wasn't bad looking at all. He had the money an…

I think it's kind of funny that you're declaring there's no reason to make a "girl's club" sub-reddit in a thread in the MensRights sub-reddit. If there is no reason for a girl's club subreddit, we should probably also declare there's no reason for a boy's club sub-reddit. There's sub-reddits for literally everything under the sun. Is there really any pressing reason to have /r/leftcamera as a su-breddit? No. We have /r/pics and /r/photography. But someone wanted a sub devoted to a particular ni…

When my friends start into the "if I had a daughter" nonsense I want to throttle them for the things they say. "She won't date until she's 40." "She won't be allowed out of the house EVER." Realistically we both know they're over exaggerating and being completely unrealistic. But a little piece of me dies every time I hear them say that. Women being treated like property is still a fairly recent thing in human history. And granted it's rarely overtly practiced, it's statements like these that ke…

Child support is indeed not allowed to be dictated in a prenup, but again that is separate from division of assets.

They can, but they certainly don't have to.
/r/MensRights30/08/13 02:07 PM

Well yes, but that I think applies to both genders. It's not like it's ok to barbarically kill men for that (which did happen in this case) but it's a travesty when it happens to a woman. I think the international community as a whole is pretty much against the whole thing.

I have honestly never seen a listing where you weren't sharing the living space (either attached to, or actually inside of) someone else's home that had a sex requirement. I would think by now most people would be aware of the issues surrounding that.

My only concern would be if the guy she is marrying wants her to stay out of the workforce to raise the kids/take care of the household. If she agrees to that, then she should be guaranteed something if he decides to divorce her simply because they both agreed to that arrangement. You can't ask the woman to leave the workforce without some sort of insurance she won't be left homeless and destitute just because the man decides he's done with her.

Prenups can cover any gains made in a marriage. If you have a small start up when you marry, you can say the business is the sole property of one partner. And if it blows up to be a multi million dollar venture the other partner has no claim.

I'm pretty sure no sane being, feminist or otherwise, thinks what happened was anything short of barbaric and horrible.

You can't fix crazy. In either of them. Best thing to hope for is that she cuts off all contact and he moves on.
/r/TheRedPill12/08/13 05:07 AM
You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
