It’s really not. Yes if it got better this year and next then that would be good but there is absolutely no reason to expect that it will. 2020 barely didn’t suck as much as 2019 in terms of male suicide. Totally true. Who supports men’s sports? Overwhelmingly men (more or less overwhelmingly depending on the sport). Who supports women’s sports? Some men, some women. I’m not saying women NEED to watch the WNBA, because if they don’t want to, that’s fine. I don’t watch much men’s sports either. But it definitely explains why women’s sports aren’t as popular: they aren’t getting NEARLY the support from their own gender that men’s sports get
