Great answer.

Yeah, but I'd say this equally applies to genuinely nice guys, not just the fake type you're describing. Nice guys really do finish last, and assholes do finish first. I've been both in my time, and without a doubt being a real jerk makes women more interested, and gets more respect from people in general. Being nice is not interesting or challenging to people. So nice guys get shit. I have seen myself lose respect for people who are nice, and I hate that about myself. But most people are like t…

Yep. Though he has some good points, the rest of the stuff comes off as rather ignorant.

Be yourself from the start in everything, that way you can save others from being disappointed further down the line and if they like you from the start you know they really do like you. This is truly great advice.

I've flown more than a 100 times, and I still get a little nervous when I experience turbulence. The difference is I got more nervous the first few dozen times. See, for me, there's no difference. I'm not less nervous now than I was before these experiences.

I had this willingness inspired in me many times. Each time I acted on it, it payed off, greatly. However, it was always a product of the right circumstances and luck. I never did learn how to inspire it myself.

Did all of the above and much more with many great successes and failures. Still as nervous and hesitant around women as before.

Those are the kind of ladies that are intellectually and/or culturally lacking and not really worth your attention ;)

I agree, it depends on your circles. Guys following trends and fashion as much as women can be off-putting to some women. In a way, conforming too much to societal norms is being weak, submissive, etc.

Yes, in fact, the only reason I managed to pull this off is because I went in with a mindset that I just want to have fun and meet people. Approach girls yes, but I didn't want to hook up with any or find a girlfriend or anything like that. That took all the pressure off and I was able to attract people with the relaxed attitude.

I know exactly what you mean, and that has worked for me in the past. However, this girl is not just attractive, she's also smart and interesting. What's more, her interests and personality align so well with my own. Now that I write this, I can really see my problem. She's either goddamn perfect or I'm making her perfect in my eyes. I don't know how to measure up to that.

Well, to be fair, I don't have a problem with approaching. I mostly pull that off just fine. The problem is taking it further and making something more out of it.

You might be right, I haven't really considered that. I'll certainly try.

That's beautiful, man. I know exactly what you mean, having practiced mindfulness and mediation before, being in the moment and not having thoughts. But I guess I forget, get lost in all these thoughts and overthinking. Thanks for reminding me!

My advice is to let others think for themselves and you can keep your thoughts to yourself. Don't do any action based on your shitty self thoughts. If you're feeling insecure and you want to send a text based on that insecurity, hold yourself to a higher standard and think to yourself, "Am I about to act based on a negative emotion? Or a positive emotion?" This is good advice for sure. I'll try to evaluate my emotions before acting. Thanks for that. As for calling me an asshole, well fuck you to…

Problem is I'm traveling tomorrow and probably won't be back in town for a week or two at least. I'm doubtful I'll be able to maintain meaningful contact over text for that long. That's why I "rushed" asking her to see me again today. And yes, I've told her about my travel plans.

I even usually reject my self for the girl. I laughed so hard reading this, and only because I see myself in there.

I think you nailed it. But it might be too late... I have asked her to go out for coffee with me today, but she's at work and said she can't meet today. I just said something along the lines of "Ah, ok, that's a shame" and was hoping she would offer an alternative, like "let's meet tomorrow" but she said nothing. At this point I feel the momentum is gone and it's a lost cause.

I guess something that should help is to realize that each of those people really have problems and insecurities of their own and probably won't think about us as much as we imagine they would. Like someone below said, we're not that important. As I write this I am trying to convince myself as well, lol. You can also try to further your game with this girl by making some indirect action, so that you retain plausable deniability.

I feel exactly the same as you explained in the original post, except I don't have that problem with friends as much as 'casual acquaintances', as you say. Friends, sure they will perhaps tease me but they are my friends. I'll just tell them to go fuck themselves. I know how they failed in the past too. We understand each other. Those 'not-so-random' people who are in the 'wider circle', who 'know of me', including her friends, is what really troubles me. I'm afraid I'll be the subject of gossip…

Yeah I agree. But there are these people (not saying that is OP) that are all about "cant ever trust anyone, everyone will betray you" who are basically always half-paranoid and see enemies in everyone and always think you must have an agenda for whatever you do. They're also all proud like "no one can fuck with me" and would say things like "i'll treat you good but if you try to fuck me I'll destroy you" to people they just meet. I stay away from people like that bc i think they're immature and…

I have friend of the same age who had a similar problem. Never was able to convince him to take it down a notch. I'd tell him he is coming on too strong on women, but he would just shrug it off by saying he is just trying to be original/different from all the other guys. Also went after girls out of his league. He was also overweight but he didnt like overweight women. He would say its okay for a man to be overweight but not for a women: "How could she let herself go like that!?" This was going …

Yup, this is how I've always operated. To be clear, I don't approach girls a lot, but when I do its like this. Especially the last bit, where you ask for something and than almost immediately come clear and tell her its an excuse. She will smile or laugh, every time. That's gold!

Its not just that they dont question it, the fact that the status is Taken seems to attract them more. Otherwise, I agree with you completely.

Girls like weed. What's wrong with that? I know of plenty cool, fit, successful people who have girlfriends and they both smoke weed.

Ah, of course, those that walk an opposite path could not have possibly been in the same club. After all, walking is like time, linear, only in one direction. I can imagine it. Stops a girl coming from the opposite direction You: "Hey, have I seen you before in a such and such a club?" She: "lol, I have not reached that area yet."

As opposed to walking in the same direction?

Nah, replace that with not exercising at all and than you'll have easy. For me making the effort to BEGIN exercising is hard, but if I do, 20 or 40 minutes is not that different.

I was referring to night time game, yes. But, yes you are right. It did happen to me and even at night time some girls were taken by surprise and flat out rejected without thinking. But thats part of the game :)

I dont remember the name either, and neither does she. But thats not the point. Its only a conversation opener for me.
/r/seduction02/10/17 11:37 AM

Of course, but thats easy. I just continue with the same generic approach. "Where are you from/What do you do/Can I buy you a drink?" At this point if she likes you will know by the way she answers and the conversation should carry on naturally.

This is very true. Whenever I went out with a primary focus of hooking up with a girl, spent the night night trying to make eye contact not only it almost never works it also produces a stressful and boring night out. Other times I would go out with a mindset "fuck it, I'm just going to enjoy myself with my friends and not look for girls" I would unintentionally notice chicks checking me out all the time. They just feel this vibe. If you vibe is "I desperately want a girl" - it puts them off. If…

Interesting. I always do the opposite. I walk up to a girl and say "Hi, whats your name?" Handshake "I'm [name]... Sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't. But my line of thinking here is that she will initially either like or dislike me (primarily my looks, but also vibe) and if she does like me, she will want to continue, regardless of whether or not my approach was smooth/appropriate. I don't feel the type of approach is that significant. I can see how this might be wrong or even shallow but …
