Just because men don't show up to get tested there doesn't mean they're lacking in equal treatments or services. I'm sure if knowledge of their programs and services for men was more widespread, the PP's around the country would have better funding. UPVOTES TO EVERYONE WHO WAS NICE ENOUGH TO DEBATE ME, BTW.

You're right, the clinics that are out there serve both and they're ALL being defunded or have little funding to begin with. BUT, the fact that PP serves women in the capacity it does, and isn't getting the funding necessary for such programs, screams volumes about the lack of availability.

Sigh, I've never claimed that they were equal to begin with, though. I saw it more as the assumption that women are weaker, hence the lower standards. And I got tore up on a daily basis....probably because my father was a CSM and one of my DS's old superiors. Made for an interesting time at Basic and AIT...

Since I never claimed this, your statement is invalid. BOTH sexes have suffered tremendously throughout history, and to claim women get to sit upon silk pillows while the men die for history is ridiculous and incorrect. So I said something. Not like anyone in this subred is going to upvote that.

As ex-military, I can tell you that on the physical side of things like PT testing, it's true that the standard is lower. But for the testing for AIT or to get your MOS (Army job), the standard is the same as for men.

It was recently decided that women should be allowed on the front lines, despite the argument that we're "too emotional" to handle it. Military equality is greatly lacking. "Women also have exponentially greater access to female specific health care." When have you had a problem finding a doctor?

As a lady, I have no problem with this. If my boyfriend said he didn't want anymore children (we have one baby girl, and he has a 6 year old from a previous relationship) I'd respect his decision for a vasectomy.
