I imagine it means defense by the police force.

With a violent crime like this, why does the guy have to press charges for her to be prosecuted?

I do still find it telling that it got over 100k likes.

They said $10 more per month. So it's a pretty negligible amount.

I hate it when girls go in the mens bathroom and barricade the door because the women's had a line.

I think it's less to do with the fact that she's a woman, and more with the fact that she is a judge. There was a judge where I used to live that was a notorious drunk, and I'd heard of him simply being driven home by the police when caught drunk on the road multiple times.

Why on earth would anyone use their company for bail bonds? Why the fuck were they shooting him with a BB gun?

Well she was already on probation which prohibited her from drinking. I think she probably did get off easy considering it's a DUI and child endangerment on top of violation of probation.

Mrs Clarence had previously told doctors how they ‘cannot understand what it is like every day of your life knowing that your children would die before you’. Ah, so she was planning it all along.

Holy shit really!? I'd have never thought! It couldn't be that the userbase upvotes shit to push it to the top, therefore tending toward the opinions of the majority. Nope, not at all. These opinions seem to dominate in this thread because it is in reference to divorce proceedings.

Reddit is so fickle. Bitch about rich people. Defend rich people. What's next? Hell, split it down the middle. Oh, no! He only has 9 billion dollars. What ever is he going to do!?

Who the fuck needs 17 billion dollars? What if we removed some zeroes and they had $1.8 million between the two of them. Would it be okay for her to only get $100k in the divorce? How about $180k between the two of them. Okay to let her off with $10k? Just because he's ultra rich doesn't mean he needs to live by a different set of standards as the rest of us.

Women make up almost 7% of the prison population. That's far too much. We need to cut them a bigger break.

So you're in favor of escalating charges like that? What if you drive a friend to the store and they end up shoplifting while you buy a pack of cigarettes or something. Are you a shoplifter as well? Unless she had the same intent, I don't believe she should be charged.

Looks like some dude murdered the girl, not this woman. From what I read she just brought the girl to the apartment for her dom boyfriend and he murdered the person when she refused to have sex.

she said she did so only because she feared she would be murdered by her first husband, and her son would end up in the custody of his father, a man she suspected of committing child abuse. Oh, I know. I'll just kill him. Then he won't have to deal with the trouble of being alive anymore. I'm doing him a favor. Ms. Jordan’s claims formed the basis of her “extreme emotional disturbance” defense, a novel twist on a strategy that experts say is normally used for murders committed in a jealous rage …

No. Watch the video if you want to. He wasn't morbidly obese but he was obese. I understand he had a medical condition that exacerbated the choking and that is why he passed away.

No it isn't that it's easy to steal off of the sign, it's just that it's a dick move. I hate cyclists who just lock their bikes wherever. The people who set it up were implying that the bike had been locked to that sign for days. If you lock your bike to a road sign and leave it there for days then you forfeit it. Especially in a park. The people who maintain that park would be well within the right to cut the bike off and toss it.

If you chain your bike to a sign you deserve to have it stolen. Also, someone called the cops on the girl in the video. Kind of misleading title.

Well she's going to be paying it back as well. I don't see the problem really.

I see you reposted this from the earlier post on another subreddit. Not going to claim I know anything specific about it, but the OP of the other post said that charges were pressed against the individual. Also they said that the crazy girl tried to kick him down the staircase after the clip had ended.

I wasn't making any comment on it. I was just saying that if they're gonna let her go to the memorial service, taking the ankle thing off is necessary.

Don't ankle bracelets work with base stations? I guess they might have gps ones now, but I thought they were for keeping you in a specific location. It would only make sense to remove the ankle bracelet while she goes to attend a memorial service because she'd need to go to a different location.

They weren't asking for your opinion on the matter, just whether this is a light sentence compared to the typical sentence. If men and women commonly get off with 6 months + probation + sex offender registry, then it isn't really that bad. This is /r/pussypass afterall... it is supposed to highlight discrepancies in sentencing between women and men. If you've got a problem with the sentence, that's another thing.

Rape is rape, even if it has a varying circumstance attached to it. Lol, no it isn't. Statutory rape is completely different from a violent rape. Don't lump them all into the same category.

If you read the article you'll see that the charges were dropped.
