In India, where I live, the same phrasing is used even in cases of accidents, floods and stampedes. Western media mostly uses it in context of war I think, which is still dehumanising though.

The article is crap, but I do think that there is a lot more misogynistic music than misandrist music Music with vulgar lyrics about women, yes But misandry is way more common in mainstream music. Depends on what type of anime it is, jjk is considered to have the best female characters in shonen but I still remember this scene where Nobara just kicks male characters or is rude for no reason, the show is still considered progressive, and that makes me mad. SpyXFamily talks about progressive things too, and it has that scene of Anya punching Damian , no one finds that problematic. Then there's shows like One Piece which isn't exactly feminist so it's tolerable
