Garbage post. Men would prefer to fuck 20 year olds. Trying to maintain something with someone who really doesn’t relate to you, which is typically the case with a large age gap, is torture of a different kind

You’ll get better and more consistent results being the fun guy that people like being around. Sooner or later said man would have to transition that interaction to somewhere where sex can happen, and that is exceedingly difficult to do that with a sober, mentally healthy woman if there hasn’t been sufficient trust/rapport built. Realistically, volume and logistics pose greater challenges than physical attractiveness.

Simple. Men tend to view sex as a reward, women tend not to. For an average woman, a guy who isn’t worth investing into long term but is moderately attractive is a disposable dildo. The guy she would want a relationship with (which she truly values) would see prolly her as easy if she smashed the first night, so she “can’t” sleep with him immediately. Men tend not to have the same set of experiences or values, so they can’t relate nor can they empathize. They tend to write it off as women being …

Late answer, but in short, listening. I only go places where it’s possible to have a conversation. When I get there, I either politick with people I know (host if possible), or the first person I meet. In that initial conversation, they key is building rapport by listening. They’ll say something, I’ll repeat the sentiment and they’ll elaborate, going into more detail, making the conversation more meaningful. At some point, people in earshot find ways to interject or join our conversation as it g…

Yeah, with this the more you push, the more resistance you’ll get, we can’t reason with people who are that emotional. Conversely, what may be effective is making him look like a pussy in front of her. Dude’s gotta be insecure about something and getting a whiff of that weakness will degrade the image of him in her mind. If you could somehow plant a seed of doubt in her mind, her neuroticism will likely take care of the rest.

Make your attention the most valuable that it possibly could be, make it worth a lot. If it’s demonstrably valuable, many women will throw pussy at you because they think it’s their best chance at getting it.

Definitely sounds like a you thing here. More specifically, the fake tits girl satisfies your hedonistic tendencies more and currently you value sexual gratification more than emotional connection, which is fine. As your situations progress, you may notice that the fake tits girl just becomes too much of a headache to deal with and start to value what the bookish girl offers more. For me, after having a girl that was devoted to me and my cause, it would be difficult to enjoy being around a girl …

I argue niche. It’d be in his best interest to be with a girl that is compatible with him specifically, which require he figures out who he as a unique individual is. If he were generic, he’d be easily replaceable.

I'd have to hear both of them talk first, but from your cursory description, left. Two things I didn't see mentioned here: 1. Who has time to have their brains fucked out daily, practically speaking? 2. Which one is likely to be less of a headache during the long term?

I don’t think they care too much, associating with a loser is a liability for women (for people in general). Online, really all you have to go off of is looks, which is a domain that women dominate. Through OLD, you can’t really evaluate a man based on his vocal tonality, eye contact, or body language, which are arguably the best tools in a man’s arsenal for attracting women in my experience.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/09/21 08:40 AM

You don’t, but I’ve observed that promiscuity and impulsiveness are positively correlated, so look out for impulsive behavior. Also, you can be on the lookout for the girl’s level of tolerance for that behavior. You could mention a story about how a friend of yours did something slutty, but in a neutral way. Inevitably when Ol girl shares her opinion, you’ll get a sense of what she does and doesn’t deem acceptable behavior. A girl that’s more sexually conservative is likely to indicate disgust/r…

There’s an element of mutual necessity when people are working toward something bigger than themselves. I imagine that’s different that needing someone for survival. To your point, when a woman wants you bad enough, it tends to be expressed as need anyway, that’s the underlying point of “genuine burning desire”.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/09/21 12:49 PM
1

Haven't seen this point raised yet: you're evaluating the quality of someone else's life by metrics that you value. In this case, it'd essentially be like being jealous of a prostitute. There's an abundance of men willing to trade their time, energy, attention, resources for a chance to fuck her. Not bc they want to get to know her, know bc they want to listen/understand/relate to her, not bc they care about her goals/dreams/life story, but bc they want something to fuck on. A lot of these girls…

If a guy had said this, I’d call him a loser, what a pathetic mindset. If you want to implement the life that you designed for yourself, you must better yourself. Guys who “self improve” solely to get puss lack principle, are unworthy of respect/admiration, and that’s a big reason why women don’t like them in the first place.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/09/21 01:02 PM

First, don’t do anything that you don’t feel comfortable doing. I wouldn’t recommend telling a guy you’re a virgin. In the future, what you can do is try to ask questions that are open ended, and look for the traits responsibility and/or foresight. Questions around career goal, relationship with younger siblings, team activities, or any ones that require working well with someone else typically give a good indication of that person’s values, and you can see if they align with yours before procee…

Very little time. Casual sex is similar to fast food in that, while it may be enjoyable in the moment, you end up feeling empty afterwards. After having enough McDonald’s, a home cooked meal becomes a lot more appealing.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/08/21 01:06 PM

In general, I think the answer boils down to the woman being generally pleasant to be around, which depends on what the man values. Most men tend to value loyalty, agreeableness. In terms of looks, I personally would say slim and a nice smile. If we’re talking about being with someone long term, you’d want to make sure that you can work well with them, that you values are compatible, and that you both are effective at conflict resolution and communication

I would pull back and allocate more time to my goals. Like, what possible positive outcome would her actions result in? I think it’s likely that you haven’t properly communicated your standards and boundaries. Either that or your values are misaligned with hers. If you were esteemed in her eyes, she would be trying with all her effort to keep you and wouldn’t do anything to jeopardize your relationship/bond. The fact that she feels comfortable bringing up another guy to you indicates either she’…

I lean towards 2 and 8, mostly because 2 has been true for me in some way at various points in my life and I have experienced 8 multiple times. A big issue imo is that the average man doesn’t have goals/purpose. If they had something specific to focus on and work towards, they’d only consider people/activities/things that could help them in pursuit of that goal. Since they don’t, they typically don’t have standards and will accept anything, driving down the value of male attention significantly.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/08/21 02:40 PM
2

If it’s cold approach vs OLD, cold approach is better imo for an average guy bc you can leverage aspects of personality and build rapport easier in person. Like in sales though, a personal referral is best for conversion. If you can’t get that, taking advantage of the mere exposure affect is a good strategy, which I would argue is easier in person. Realistically OLD is digital cold approaching imo

Stop the cap, 1/3 of women admitted to going on foodie dates. And that’s only the ones that admit it. That is the main contention. If 80%+ were straight up with their intentions, it’d be less of an issue. But that’s not how the game go baybeeeee

Not an effective strategy. In this case, the guy would be yet to develop rapport/bonds with any of the women, he’ll still be some rando to them. Also, the women would be able to tell by the way the escort and the guy interact with each other. It’ll be clear that there’s no rapport/bond there, and in all likelihood, it would’ve been the potential for emotional connection that would’ve galvanized the woman to action. It’d be easier to figure out which men in the environment are movers/shakers ad p…

Just bc they can doesn’t mean they do. Unfortunately, it seems to be the case that if the typical woman found you desirable, she’d be trying to have you for herself. If a woman wanted to, she could introduce herself to a woman you were interested in, and after bonding/building rapport, she could say, “Hey, you should meet my friend, x!” That personal referral would be way more effective than any game the guy could run. So why is it the case that instead of playing an active role, some of these f…

I don’t think so. For most women, rapport would still have to be built, likely from common interests/values. This video highlights a woman successfully getting to the Awareness step in the AIDA funnel. I, D, and A are still to be attained. In practical terms, the creator would have to build rapport, set a date, hope the girl doesn’t flake, etc in order to progress things. Given the creator is a stranger at that point, if she were to try to set a date, any random event in the other girl’s life wo…

IME, women display tremendous attention to detail. If your girl holds you in high regard, she learns you, what you like/dislike, what your interests are, what your goals are, and they typically act on that information, IME. Second, women tend to be better socially calibrated than men are.

The optimist, she likely comes with a “can do” attitude, which makes me think that we can work well together long term. The pessimist sounds like a pain to be around imo I actually know a girl that reminds me of the pessimist, almost to the T. not someone I wanted to spend an extended amount of time with.

Nah, not accurate. If you’re a guy and ugly, you can get women by being funny or being rich. If you’re an ugly woman, gg no re mami, it’s gonna be tough out there. Side note: a lot of “ugly” dudes are ugly bc they don’t present themselves well. They don’t wear clothes that fit, colors that complement their skin tone, don’t have good hygiene/grooming, and don’t have a good physique.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/08/21 09:03 PM
3

Sure. If 80%+ of women were up front and straightforward about their intentions, this would be a non-issue. However, since 1/3 women admit to going out with men they were not interested in for a free meal, men have developed a sort of counter strategy against that. Also, generally if a woman had a "genuine, burning desire" for a man, he wouldn't need to take her on a date in the first place. When women are really into you, they make it easy for you. The men you are disagreeing with have personal…

OP wants both parties to experience difficulties in dating, essentially to know how it feels. Inaccurate. Direct quote from OP, "The men who embrace this competition, regardless of how fair or unfair it might be, inevitably become better men. Isn't it accurate to say that these men should set and strive toward their own standard of achievement?
/r/PurplePillDebate05/07/21 11:34 AM

IDK about that one chief. I'd argue the cause of the self esteem issues is not getting the outcomes that they want/think they should have. Men should strive to be their best, reasonably speaking. You can be average if you want, but when average constitutes being overweight and living paycheck to paycheck, I'm not sure that's something to be content with

Not true, a man’s problems can be solved by becoming a winner. Women by comparison are trying to find the winning lottery ticket. When you play the passive role, many times you’re selecting the default option, which is undoubtedly not the optimal option. I would argue it’s better to be in the active role. Also, the paragraph on the expectations of men gave me a visceral twinge of disgust from how pathetic it sounds. As a man, you should be determining how your life is going to play out, independ…

Horniness overpowers pride in men 9/10 times, so I don’t think men en mass are refusing to date down. I think men typically have higher standards when they gain viable options and have to choose between them.

Not being considered desirable hurts the ego too much. Like it or not, many women feel judged on their looks before other things, and if you're an ugly woman, your self esteem takes a big hit.

Based response. Something to note is that previously the roster of candidates was relatively finite, whereas in recent times, female mate selection has become an instance of the Secretary Problem, which has its own drawbacks.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/06/21 12:19 PM

Those are good questions, and you may be expecting a logical/rational answer, but rationality stops at arousal in my observations. Men are quite capable of loving their wives and have sex with other women. Not hurting feelings does enters the equation, otherwise the men would openly cheat and not try to cover tracks. For the record, I don't support cheating bc I think it's weak and also unnecessary. From my observations, the act itself isn't the worst part for women. However, lying about it, bre…

Disagree, the guys who get less affection typically aren't esteemed (from the wife's POV), so their wives do not respect them and treat them accordingly. Priorities for women change as women age, as they should. For the men in these situations, it seems like they do not prioritize having a wife that respects them or one that is pleasant to be around, or otherwise are conditioned to just deal with the disrespect. It's for that reason that levels 1-5 of the 12 levels of dread center around getting…

Nah, most of their userbase just wants a guy they can respect/admire and that is looking out for them. Unfortunately many of the people giving advice are bitter, undesirable individuals. I will agree that if someone embodies their rhetoric literally, they will attract men who are easily manipulated. In some ways, FDS draws parallels to TRP and this realization has compelled me to re-evaluate some of my beliefs.

I think looks and lifestyle are the “bait” that women and men use respectively. In either case, you would have to have a level of compatibility for that relationship to work long term. The sentence in bold is a little dehumanizing imo. When you’re in a fulfilling relationship, the other party tends to “learn” you over time. They develop a sense for what you like, what may make your life better/easier, and they’ll try to add value if they can. Also, not sure if women have a similar experience, bu…
/r/PurplePillDebate29/06/21 09:30 PM

I’d argue it makes more sense to cheat. Why would I leave my wife, who I am more compatible with overall, for a woman with whom my only interest is sex?
/r/PurplePillDebate29/06/21 09:19 PM
2

Jokes aside, I agree with the commenter above. Women want the best they can get, as they should imo. If you’re a guy and you’re not striving to be your best, the last thing you should be doing is focusing on women. That’ll bring you a whole lot of stress that you really don’t need and are likely not prepared to deal with. What’s unfortunate is men not valuing themselves enough and trying to validate their worth through external means.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/06/21 09:15 PM

I'm not sure if there is a study, or if a study is needed. Typically, something else becomes more of a priority. It could be a critical period in work/hobbies, they may be going through a bout of depression, or may have found another option they want to explore, while not outright rejecting you. Also, while this may not be applicable for your case, guys can go for months or years without communicating and still be on good terms with each other. Maybe that’s why they think nothing happened. Depends on what metric is being used. If you're dummy rich, time becomes more important than money by a long shot. If the goal is to bang as many good looking young women as you can in the shortest amount of time, the sugar daddy is winning. If the goal is to find a girl who "likes you for you", the sugar daddy route doesn't seem to be the best choice

To answer the question in your title, yes they are imo. It's a waste of time to argue, and they typically aren't debating, they're arguing. I'd say that many men who consider themselves RP haven't gone through the 5 stages of grief and are operating off of emotion. It's really cathartic to tell someone off. Also, it's common to hear "facts don't care about your feelings." IME, if you're a guy arguing with a girl, her feelings definitely don't give a fuck about your facts haha

Valid, though they tend to just switch strategies rather than giving up trying to pursue women. The latter gets into the mgtow category. Some might say that PUA was a precursor to TRP, mgtow, black pill, etc. It really was influential and an interesting aspect of online “culture” Edit: For example, PUA tactics center around the concept of DHV. Whether you’re negging or hitting the gym or flashing money, each of those is an attempted DHV

Organizations tend to work better when people play their roles. In relationships, each party gets to determine their role. Typically things work when each plays their role to the best of their ability and adequately meets the expectations of that role. I think the premise is flawed in your post, it’d be like saying swing dancing radicalizes people bc men typically lead and women typically follow.

They might say they want husbands, but it’s questionable if their actions support that. Qualities and characteristics that may incent a reasonable man to invest in them are labeled “pick me”. To be fair, you can say the same about TRP labelling taking care of your girl as “simping”

People tend to value things more when they have to work for it. As a guy, imo, your most valuable resource is your time/attention. If you’re giving that away freely, it’s likely not valuable. Most of the time, when a resource becomes scarce, it automatically becomes more valuable and consequently more “worthy” of being pursued. In a completely oversimplified sense, that’s why pulling back tends to be effective on women. Not all, but a significant portion. Most of the time, I think this is uncons…

What comes easy is not valuable in most cases. Even with the rampant sex going on in the gay community, it doesn't compare to the magnitude of options that women have without even trying. In addition, women have more to lose when sex gets involved. In addition to the risk of disease, the risk of pregnancy is still present. This has been the case for millennia, the last 60y have been a blip in human history. Also, especially now, if you slutshame gay people, you'll be labelled homophobic and canc…

IME, knowing, liking and trusting comprise a significant portion of that emotional connection. Trust is probably the biggest concern, there has to be a sufficient level of safety/security for them to feel comfortable around you. Being liked comes down to developing rapport. IME, the woman has to respect you, and it typically helps it they admire some characteristic/trait/attribute of yours. The knowing part is interesting. Obviously they have to know enough about you to have something to admire,…

This is an interesting take. Specifically, when a woman is asked on a date by a man, a lot of the time, she has no real investment in that man. That is to say, she doesn’t really know him, like him, or trust him at a high level. That being said, the date is often used as a chance for the guy to build rapport and to get some level of investment from that girl. You seem like a rational individual, however women tend to be very emotionally driven. The main thing that you have to offer is your presence, which is hampered by distance. As great of a relationship as you may have, not being able to be physically next to you is something that will chip away at her. The feeling of trust and security that comes from an embrace with someone they respect and admire is an irreplaceable feeling, and is something they will inevitably long for. There are plenty of wo…

Earning potential is not the only thing that counts, I agree with you there. That being said, earning enough to be able to afford a comfortable lifestyle is likely the biggest stressor in the lives of most people. All I’m saying to is that saying women are “more educated” isn’t informative enough imo, and is not something I would use when making an argument.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/06/21 02:48 PM

The more educated part is always interesting to me, I don’t think that statement is informative enough. Like, I’d rather be the engineer with a BS than a PhD in some social science, given the difference in earning potential.

Nah, but if you’re a woman who is using OLD, it makes more sense to opt for a site where your matches can provide a better lifestyle, instead of tinder which is full of losers that want to use you like a semen receptacle. Regarding why young men would go for sugaring, I could see it being a timesaver. Regular dating is time intensive and if you’re the average guy, probably low ROI. Interesting take. If we were able to aggregate the "average" set of standards into objective metrics, let's say the 3 6's, we could quantify the percentage of men that meet those standards. For example, only ~1.5% of US men are 6ft+ and make over 6 figures. Is it realistic for a woman in the 50th percentile to expect a committed monogamous relationship with a man in the 98th percentile? Disagree. If you're a guy with standards, you're vetting women to see if they're compatible with you. If you're putting women on a pedestal, you're communicating that they are inherently better than you. This is a mistake for many reasons, one of which is that it creates pressure for the woman to live up to an expectation that she can't hope to meet.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/06/21 04:31 PM
9

This is a concern for men with low self worth. You have to understand who you are as a man, and what you offer. If you legitimately are "that dude", the woman would be dumb af to leave. Men who put pussy on a pedestal are willing to compromise their principles for something that every woman has. It's pathetic and repulsive, because they have such little self-respect.

Haha, not that different. At the outset, our short term strategies are not necessarily cooperative yet, for various reasons. To answer your first question, "yeah". It's one of the reasons lifting is (was?) emphasized so heavily. You’re preaching to the choir, I personally agree wholeheartedly with what you’re saying. That being said, I also understand that there are legitimate issues with the suggestions you give. Most notably, young people typically don’t have valuable skills that bring in $$$, and the path to success is typically ambiguous. I see what you mean, I actually wasn’t talking about OF. Some are into polyamory, most aren’t. Just after I wrote that comment, I scrolled past a relationship_advice posting where the guy couldn’t look at his gf the same after finding an old tape of her having an MMF 3way, and I think that is representative to how most men would respond. Disagree, a sense of community and belonging is critical for women’s happiness, IME. As men get older, peace of mind becomes a priority, which solitude provides. An issue is that hyper successful women don’t want men who they see as lesser than them. Most would love a relationship with a man they respect and admire, but their Pool is small and the kind of men they want might not want them. You’re talking down on the average Joe making 70k mid 30s. There’s plenty of women in their 20s that would …

This is gonna sound harsh, but if the man is family oriented, he’d probably prefer having kids that are his and would optimize for finding a wife that could give him children. That being said, there are men that feel that adopted children should have a loving home with a mother and a father, and would be willing to accept the arrangement that you’re proposing. Whatever works for you is what you should do. There are points of contention that arise in cases like yours, though, typically around conflicting lifestyles. A question that Kevin Samuels likes to ask women is, “what percentage of the bills do you want to pay for a lifetime,” or, “Do you want to have to work to pay significant bills while you’re pregnant?” These tend to be eye-opening. If a woman making 100K and her lifestyle reflects it, and her bf makes 50K and his lifestyle reflects it, she w…

Interesting. The comment I initially replied to seems to indicate that women long to have someone who is genuinely interested in who they are as a person, let’s call that personality. If I’m a guy, and 8/10 women are willing to share their personality with me, but only 2/10 (more than likely less if I’m the average guy) are willing to have sex with me, why would I not focus on getting what is more scarce to me, which is…

There’s levels to it. I’d prefer “natural looking” to “glamour” because I find the latter garish. However, I must concede that if I saw a woman without makeup and a woman with minimal makeup, I’d probably find the one with makeup more attractive, probably because I don’t typically see women without makeup and don’t have a solid frame of reference. Hmm, I think you’re telling on yourself. The average guy does not have the things you listed as standards. Most men know if you don’t pay for the first date, there most likely won’t be a second date. Similarly, most men wouldn’t dare implement a 3 date rule because they don’t have the options available to do so. If they make that ultimatum, the girl’s just gonna move on in all likelihood. Similarly, most men know that if the girl’s not happy, she’ll leave. TLDR: 8/10 men don’t have the standards…

Men's standards boil down to: Be decent looking Be pleasant to be around. Even these are negotiable for most men. Thank you for sharing your perspective. I find it meaningful. I’m not sure why you mention us not being compatible. Edit: I ask these questions because I think the perspective is valuable. I think some men do. The issue arises when nuance is interpreted as disingenuousness, which happens often. That example that you give is particularly egregious and unnecessary, I agree. For the record, I agree wholeheartedly with what you’re saying. It is more polite to tell a woman that you want to be “friends first, maybe more”. Sounds good, doesn’t work. If you’re not attractive, ol girl’s not gonna want to be in a relationship with you. If you were sufficiently attractive, most would have sex with you regardless of whether you’re in a relationship or not.

Cap. “It just happens” is from the woman’s POV, the guy’s been plotting on that pussy for a min.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/04/21 10:18 PM
10

Maybe, I think the level of bluntness and directness that men give to each other may be deemed misogynistic if directed toward a woman. It makes the “honesty” more interesting. For example: A guy may ask another guy why he is struggling with women and may be met with this response: “You’re out of shape, and you’re personality doesn’t make up for your looks.” Imagine trying to give a woman feedback that is that candid.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/04/21 10:13 PM
2

But it is though. We can model dating as a set of circumstances that has an end result based on the actions of decision makers. It is absolutely a woman’s prerogative to do what she wants with her own body. Question: how confident are you that your approach selects for the best partners and not the best pretenders? How would you distinguish?
/r/PurplePillDebate26/04/21 09:58 PM
5

The main one is cooperativeness. Being supportive is great as well. “What do you want to do, and how can I help?” is a question that would serve many people well.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/04/21 09:42 PM

That won’t help the delusion, they’ll just think OP in particular is an asshole. I imagine it’s a clusterfuck from the woman’s perspective.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/04/21 09:35 PM

Answer to your first question: doubt it. The dating game, as you’ve identified it, is adversarial. I’m not sure if FDS’s approach is the best imo. I think it optimizes for a man that is easily manipulated. Re: the waiting game This approach is interesting. Sometimes it frames the interaction as if coochie is a prize to be won, which seems like the wrong frame if you’re optimizing for a productive and mutually beneficial relationship. What are your thoughts?

I think it’s because they don’t have a strong enough “why” for being successful and independent past a certain point. If you were to ask them why they wanted to be (financially) successful, a common answer would be so they don’t have to depend on someone. Yes, you have an ironclad agreement with a woman whose wants or whims will never change. She’s gonna try to wear you down. At some point she’ll be talking to her social circle and will feel some type of way about you not committing, and then exert pressure on you to commit, and one of the tactics will be to say smth like, “But I’M faithful to YOU, lifeintraining.” You asked why would she do this, ol girl thinks she’s scoring points with you and will to try to cash in later.

Depends on what you want, but I would argue the first characteristic to vet for is cooperativeness. If they go along with your jokes/references, they open up about themselves and also take an interest in learning about you, when you suggest something you’re interested in doing, they’ll try to include themselves and suggest how they can do their part. Of course, this is all dependent on you. If you have nothing going on, you can’t expect them to want to join in on that.

I don’t know if hate is an accurate description, but it seems like the visceral responses come from men who have dealt with single moms and their experiences trigger strong emotions. I’d say the biggest thing is cooperativeness. It’s especially nice when you’re trying to complete a goal and a girl takes it upon herself to figure out what she can do to help, and do it unprompted. It makes me want to return the favor and also prioritize her needs being met.

No. Men must prove themselves, as evidenced by the many male rites of passage across various cultures. There’s not a particularly good one in the US/West, so finances and ability to provide are the default. Money is a proxy for other desirable qualities in men. If you are able to significantly expand your wealth, you’re likely ambitious and/or intelligent and/or competent and/or have good social standing. Typically these aren’t characteristics that drive men’s attraction to women.

I’d be careful with that. A lot of women trickle truth when talking about negative past experiences and tend to minimize their part in creating them so they don’t look bad. Also, women are reactive compared to men, who are typically more active in the pursuit. Regarding empowered: over time in the west, things that were taboo for women are becoming empowering. At some point, any negative thing about a woman will be flipped as a positive and pushed out to the media as such. Reminds me of how women try/tried to reclaim the word “bitch” or “slut”. Also, shame is a big inhibitor for women. If you can market a product such that it removes negative stigma, women tend to flock to it.

Not the way some men present it. They are trying to be covert and won’t be straight up, mostly to their detriment. They’ll try to pretend to be the girl’s friend and then be salty when they get friend zoned
/r/PurplePillDebate31/03/21 08:54 PM

I’m inclined to agree with you, however: - most men go about it in a roundabout way instead of being straight up, trying to friendship their way into some pussy. Are they approaching with romantic intentions, or are they primarily trying to smash? The guy knows nothing about her, so it’s doubtful that it’s the first. If it’s the latter, why would the girl be down for that? Since most men don’t have a good answer for that question, they try to be sneaky with their intentions. It’s somewhat simila…

Interesting response. I think the point was to be talking to people when they are relatively idle and are open to communicate. It would seem more awkward for me to not acknowledge the other person at all, but I could see how a woman may find that situation trapping, especially when not everyone can read the room

I don’t think that comment was tinfoil hat time. Most online services that are “free” generate their revenue via ads and purchased upgrades. As a result, they are incentivized to keep their users on as long as possible, the Social Dilemma covers this in depth

I disagree with the second paragraph, it’s not considered weird to cold approach. The weirdness comes in when someone approaches with an ulterior motive. In addition, I don’t think women as a whole like or prefer online, specifically bc of the logistical issues it presents. First, regardless of filtering strategy, most women will still be inundated with options, and trying to sort between those options is extremely difficult. Second, say there’s some man they would find ideal, it’s likely that m…

I encourage you to explore that view that you hold, and to think about why you think that. While you may see try hard, some girl out there sees them and thinks the guy is “mysterious”. Typically the main benefit from a B&W photo in general is the high contrast. Definition and smaller details pop out more, and more focus is given to the subject compared to a color photograph.

Another commenter mentioned love languages, maybe hers is gift giving. On another note, I imagine it’s common for a woman to invest in a man she respects and admires, financially might be the easiest way for her to do so. Women who are really into men tend to enjoy doing things for those men.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/03/21 03:26 PM
2

You probably want to get off dating apps OP. It doesn’t really make sense for a thoroughly solid guy to be on dating apps. While I personally consider the behavior you pointed out as excessive and grotesque, it is also polarizing. Fortunately you were able to find that you weren’t compatible with these men during the first date, rather than investing months into a guy that’s pretending to be a certain way so you’ll sleep with him.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/03/21 03:00 PM

I see what you’re saying about the cherry picked studies. I think what ends up being more compelling are the accounts of the bad experiences that the men have had. Many of them are relatable to many men, and it’s like, “if so many men are facing the same issues, it can’t just be me.” I think effectiveness depends on the expected outcome, which for TRP seems to be getting more women. I would argue implementing RP is more effective toward that end than men’s default strategy, which is simping. Tho…
/r/PurplePillDebate29/03/21 02:28 PM
2

Maybe. Most men who find RP found it after a bad experience with women and after reading page after page of the forum, they realize that they’ve been misled their entire life about how women actually are. They then go through the stages of grief, and some men never make it out the anger phase.

The point was that trying to give pussy right away to lock down a highly desirable guy is naive and ineffective. If you’re a girl and try that, whats to stop you from getting pumped and dumped after giving away your biggest bargaining chip? Most women are fucking men from their social circles, and while their are plenty of women are willing to fuck on date 1/2, the vast majority of men don’t have access to these women. The “make him wait” strategy is still highly effective against most men, poin…

Re relationships: “Haven’t seen the need”, “I’m extremely selective”, “It doesn’t align with my goals” Re sex: You could frame it as wanting to resist temptation and how it’s hard but you’re strong blah blah, some will try to fuck you just bc they see it as a challenge
/r/askTRP21/03/21 10:18 PM
1

I don’t think so, that strategy would be naive. It makes more sense to withhold sex to get the guy to invest more and build a bond before having sex. If she fucks him before building that bond, she’s lost leverage and there’s little incentive for the guy to continue getting to know her. Plus, every girl has a vagina, what would stop that guy from abandoning her if someone else offered to fuck him
/r/askTRP21/03/21 09:14 PM
1

Maybe you care too much. You gave a good description of you and her, but didn’t really describe your relationship. Her fucking you, bragging to friends, showing off on IG, and being submissive are likely inherent to her personality. They’re easy things to do for a woman, what would be different is if you had her working and doing things for you to stay in your good graces. That level of effort and investment would be harder to walk away from.
/r/askTRP21/03/21 09:08 PM

Yeah, there’s 3x as many men as women on apps. The women you’re swiping on probably don’t even see you being inundated with so many other men. I wouldn’t describe you as pessimistic based on this discussion. You’re sharing legitimate concerns and considerations. Re: no reason for genders to remain: In a western society, this is accurate. While role assignment based on gender may not be optimal, at some point in the relationship, expectations should be set on each individual in order to progress effectively. If both individuals perform the same exact role, they risk redundancy and a potential lack of polarity.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/01/21 06:39 PM

I think this depends on whether the individual actively chooses to play the role or is just accepting the default. The “benefit” of gender roles is that their is a clear-ish set of expectations that each member of the relationship is expected to fill. It is difficult to optimize when those expectations are not set. An analogy: in just about every partner dance, the man leads and the woman follows. Yeah, you’re right. In your situation, it doesn’t sound like you changed anything about you in order to get some girl. Prolly broscience, but I think this is interesting. This is a good point. Social circle can be a huge obstacle regardless of age. If her friends think you’re a loser, it’s an uphill battle. Something I notice is that if the people around her genuinely want the best for her, they tend to sign off on the relationship if he’s actually improving her life. If the social circle has irreconcilable conflicts with the guy, typically she has to make a decision. Where it gets sad is when the woman chooses a shit guy over a very supportive network, or choose…

TL;DR: it’s about the value you can provide. If you’re demonstrably the most valuable guy they have access to, they can’t get enough of you. What a woman finds valuable, how to display said value, and where you can locate women that are receptive to the value you provide become more important variables later on. For now: focus on making your life one that you enjoy and are fulfilled by.

Paying extra in taxes and for healthcare will likely be cheaper than a divorce. If you’re not trying to have kids, signing a marriage certificate puts you in a risky position. If you watch the documentary Divorce Corp, it goes over how there is tremendous incentive for a woman to marry for money, wait it out, then divorce the man and live on alimony. It’s a racket. The mistake men make is thinking that they are good enough to tell the difference between a woman who would do such a thing, and a g…

While I agree, that men shouldn’t be hoping for pussy Nirvana when they’re older, there are definitely benefits for younger women who are dating older men long term, and I’m saying this as a younger guy. A lot of comments here mention looks, which seems to be more important for casual relationships and flings, though long term, the focus seems to be on what a man can do for a woman. Some points of disparity between younger men and older men, that I’ve noticed: life experience and ability to prov…

From Viktor Frankl: “When a person can’t find a deep sense of meaning, they distract themselves with pleasure.” It’s easier said than done, but finding something worthwhile to occupy your focus solves the issue, at least temporarily. Sex is great and all, but it pales in comparison to great achievement ime. To stand at the top of a mountain that you spent many difficult months climbing feels better than busting 1000 nuts

If you continue to associate with this woman after she has shown you that she makes these kinds of decisions, you are very worthy of the misery she will bring you. Eventually, she will make a poor decision that you will suffer for. It will all be for some puss from a girl that doesn’t have anything else to offer. No worries, you'd learn (and hopefully internalize) it with more life experience. The key is to figure out who you are, what you value, and where you're going in life. Without firmly establishing these, it'll be difficult to determine who belongs in your life

To answer the question in the title, you can't. There's a saying: Your girl may not cheat, but she always knows who has next. They'll always have a backup guy, it is in their biology. The only thing you can do is be the far and away best option she has access to, such that the if she were to jump to another guy, she'd end up thinking of you whenever that guy has the occasional slip up. Why people commit suicide? That's easy, they're in a situation where they don't think things can get better, regardless of what they do. Is it better to continue suffering in vain? Not saying I agree with that mindset, I personally think you gotta give it a chance to get better, but to these people in a situation where they feel helpless, I can definitely see the end of suffering being the better choice.

I think the premise here is inaccurate. Typically when people say men and women can't be friends, both genders realize it would be difficult to be relegated to friendship when you find yourself attracted enough to the person to desire a relationship. Something I don't see being addressed too often: what percentage of this massive income is saved/invested? 78% of people in the US live paycheck to paycheck, not because they don't earn enough money, but mostly because they spend almost as much as (sometimes more) than they earn. This is even the case for multimillionaire professional athletes. With all due respect, reasons like this are why mindset is important. They can perceive you to be whatever they feel like. Women will occasionally check back in to see if you've become a winner since they left. If not, ghostville again. If so, they'll try to slide back in. The strategy is impeccable, and hella effective. Whether you go to her or she drops them off at your place, when she asks questions trying to figure out what you're up to, be vague af, but mention how much fun you're having. She'll get FOMO, and her hamster wheel starts turning. If I were in your position, I'd have her drop the clothes off at my p…

Take time away from dating in order to develop yourself and competence in various areas. Bruv, if you’re jacked, rich, and popular in your community, it is difficult not to see yourself as highly desirable. In addition, get comfortable with and enjoy your own presence. The only thing a random girl can manipulate you with is that you won’t get some pussy, but if your response is indifferent, they tend to either fall in line or stop hanging around you.

Focus on what’s productive, steer the conversation back towards that when there’s deviation. Also, what you may see as manipulative can also be considered traits of a good leader. A good leader challenges and gets the best out of their subordinates. It may be uncomfortable, but as CTO, if the bottom line is negatively affected, it’ll be much more uncomfortable telling a bunch of people they won’t be able to feed their families after the company goes though layoffs. Another thing: it’s always ez …

Is it that men don’t enjoy doing things for their partner, or that the examples often presented are things women enjoy doing for men? Women typically enjoy cooking for their SOs, we know this. What do men enjoy doing for their SOs? Asking about their day, showing/teaching them things they don’t know, solving problems when their SOs bring them up. Men and women are different, and value different things. They bring different things to the relationship, and play different roles. Otherwise one would…

What should she do in the future? It sounds like this is a repeated behavior. Tell her what parts of what she did are unacceptable and why. Yeah, I think generations before us have come to a similar conclusion. Victor Frankl and Marcus Aurelius address this and similar concerns in their works. In essence, your last freedoms are in choosing how to perceive a situation, and choosing how to respond. Some circumstances you neither have control nor influence over, so it makes sense to just focus on the ones you do have control over. This seems to be the most productive approach.

You're playing a dangerous game here. If she ever feels bad about your interactions, she'll go to HR and you're out of a job. Edit to add that her feeling bad can be due to any number of things. Her friends/flatmate calling her a slut, an argument with the BF in which she reveals she's been trying to cheat, her BF doing something nice for her causing her to feel guilty, you deciding to tone it down (interpreted as rejection), you making innocuous banter with another female (jealousy).

Somewhat. It’s always about an exchange of value, and always has been and will be forever. For any individual, find what they value, offer it to them for something you value. This comment amounts to “well, yeah”, but I wanted to add the following: Something I see often is people blaming/referring to “society”. When we say “society”, inherently we’re talking about popular opinion. Since it seems like women are more likely to share the opinion of the group, a lot of the times when we say “society”, we can swap it for “A representative group of women”. In that case, “society” will trend to whatever opinion a representative group of women hold. Of course it’ll be lopside…

More like an addict replacing the negative habit with something else. I’d imagine ppl here are tired of the whole “get on your purpose” trope, but if you get serious about life and start actually winning (with tangible results) outside of getting puss, you develop a sense of ambition and are fulfilled by whatever it is you’re winning at. If you’re a woman and you’re trying to get a guy to commit, you’ve essentially lost a position of advantage after y’all have sex, especially if you (the girl) have nothing else of value to offer. You might want to rethink that, or you'll fail a lot of shit tests. Women worth pursuing will test to see if you are who you present yourself to be and will take jabs at your interests to see if you'll stand up for yourself, or if you'll kowtow at the first sign of dissent. Gonna keep it real, you have a weak mindset. If you were a desirable man, you could get an abundance of women, and then mold/guide them into a woman who adds value to your life. You probably should take a break from women, something is amiss if you're actively looking for women like the ex you described. I see where you're coming from, thank you for clarifying. You make good points in your last paragraph, especially in it being easier to not pursue vs reject. I assume you're using "you" in the general sense, and you're absolutely right about the bias aspect. Some clarifications you may find insightful: The "Chads" that are chasing women are chasing them for sex. Men that are notably "high value" (Keanus?) are generally indifferent towards women in my experience. As in, they have a lot going on i…

We’re in agreement on your last point. To say that promiscuity has zero to do with being a good partner in a relationship, I do not agree with that, based on what I said above. I understand that you may have run across people implying men with high n counts make good partners. Personally, I am not saying that. There are indeed attractive men that don’t sleep around. What I’m saying is that a man who is unattractive to women in general most likely will not have the ability/capacity to sleep aroun…

I think the answer to your question lies in the part where the commenter mentions discrimination. Yes, hot guys get easy sex, as do women. For a woman to not be discriminating in who they have sex with, especially when sex is riskier for women than it is for men, is a troubling sign. In terms of a relationship, people who have really high (open to interpretation) n-counts seem to be more impulsive, which does not portend good things about their decision making capability. Obviously if you intera…

Are you being facetious? While the cash/prize has some utility, “for fun” indicates impulsiveness. Either way it’s sex being traded for something, wouldn’t it be more prudent to trade for something with tangible value?

It seems like more women tend to lean towards selecting for long-term rather than short term. For a LTR with a man, what he's capable of is far superior than what he looks like, typically. You may scoff at this, but if you take a trip to eastern Europe, where the average woman is modelesque but married to a very schlubby looking guy, you'd change your perspective. Life is very good and relatively free from turmoil in the West, compared to other places. This allows people (both men and women) to …

The second, re: girl. Gonna get straight to the point and say that you’re fortunate to have experienced this early enough in your life that you can learn from this: The mistake you made was not showing emotional weakness, but in telling her about a problem that she cannot help you solve. This girl is likely a loosely held together bundle of emotions, she looks to you as her rock and to help her deal with hers. She may mean well by telling you to open up to her, but in reality, wtf is that actual…

Two things: First, how to deal with the situation with your mom. There's a philosophy called stoicism that I think you should look into. "This too shall pass," is a representative mantra, as is the Serenity Prayer. The goal of this philosophy is not to never feel emotion, but to see reality for what it is, to handle it accordingly, and to have the resolve to do what must be done, especially during hard times. I'm sure you realize that your mother may die soon, and you MUST be prepared to deal wi…

Lemme smash that fantasy for you. You want a girl, but why? To bust a nut? Get a hooker. Companionship? Friends/dogs. Emotional support? A therapist will be cheaper. What does a woman bring you that you can't get yourself? What does one specific woman bring you that the others can't? It'll be hard to find a conclusive answer to both of those tbh. A common issue with modern relationships is that they're started during "good times", as in, times of relatively little turmoil. Imagine you were in a …

Haven't heard this answer here, but try studying stoicism. You're asking this question as if you don't already have everything you could ever need, and will struggle with fulfillment for as long as you keep that mindset. Really hone in on rejecting external influences. If you're not motivated by pleasure nor deterred by pain, nobody can manipulate you into thinking you need anything they can offer you. Especially when whatever they could offer is likely not that important in the first place. It'…

You can spend your entire life pleasing a girl, the moment she gets mad, she’ll say, “you never show me you care” or something. Always DARE, never DEER. Her: “you’re lying, you’ll be with another girl” Deflect: “nah” Agree+Amplify to Absurdity: “close, I’ll be with 200 girls” Repeat: “I’ll be with Mike.” Exit: leave on read bc she’s saying some goofy shit Either of the above are fine, but don’…

They’re likely sleeping with either extremely good looking or high status guys. For the former, apparently women are really horny after they get off their period and seek out the hottest guy they can get during that week or so after. For the latter, social status is probably the most compelling factor for younger women. Get a blue check on Instagram and watch them jump in your dms.

Be careful bro, some of these dudes are crazy, especially over a girl as hot as the one you're talking about. For reference, you can look up the story about Christy Mack. Sounds good in theory. In practice, even if you do let them know from the jump and constantly reinforce that it's just casual, if the girl's into you, they'll angle for a relationship. In regards to the phrasing of the text, it could be that she's just using specific words to make the situation sound better than it is. It's hard to imagine a girl referring to herself as a fuck buddy, even if that's all you ever do.

Most women come and go, why waste time trying to get their validation? The right woman can add tremendous value in your life. Some answers I haven’t seen: Logistically women have a great advantage. Apparently 7% of American women are on tinder as opposed to ~17% of American men. That’s basically 3x the amount of dudes. Prolly the more interesting point. Men and women evaluate potential partners differently. Why would you want to? If I were you, I’d focus on finding some purpose/mission in life that was worth my time and attention. As you progress with that, people who are compatible and/or can contribute to that purpose naturally start gravitating towards you. The other option is to spend that valuable time/attention wondering why you can't be bothered with women that contribute nothing to your life other than being attractive.

Understandable, if you spend your entire life being valued for simply existing, why wouldn’t you expect to be given 10k+ for something every woman had? Besides, if one guy balks, there’s infinitely more men waiting in the wings. I also think sustainability becomes more of a factor as people age. Typically, for both men and women, people start shifting their mindset toward long-term benefit/life strategy.
