Yeah, I was thinking the same the other day. The amount of posts and comments in this sub lately defending feminism.. There is a reason that ‘No Feminism’ is a rule. I think they really are lost. If you have a fundamental understanding of what this subreddit is about, you would understand why defending feminism is prohibited here. I’m glad to see someone else feels the same way. It’s ridiculous.

Can you describe how feminist theory is useful / helpful in your profession?

Yeah, those are all valid concerns. It all depends on your diagnosis and if you’ll actually need medication or not. But you seem to know what you want so that’s good 🙂

You’re welcome! 😊 Are you considering a certain kind of medication or any specific prescription?

Yeah, you’re definitely not a failure for taking or needing to take psychiatric medication. If you need more than therapy and the other approaches you’ve been taking, and medication would be a good fit for you, then there’s no issue in taking it. But the choice is entirely yours, and don’t feel pressured into taking medication if you don’t think it’s a good idea or if you don’t want to take a particular type. I would recommend doing research on the medication you’ve been prescribed and to make y…

Eh wellllll technically it's not classical, but when I mean the more traditional-sounding Bollywood songs. Like the kinds of songs that play at weddings 😆 There's a lot, but here are some songs from the 90s / early 2000s I've recently stumbled upon again on YouTube: Rang De, Mera Bhi Bada Sohna Hai, Chane Ke Khet Mein, Cham Cham Chamke Chandni You probably know these songs already, but I'm always happy when I re-discover old music videos on YouTube of songs from my childhood :) Also here's a bon…

I’m also Indian and I listen to songs from Bollywood movies all the time 😆 The more classical / traditional songs usually make me feel super feminine because they always make me want to dance classically. Indian classical dancing is probably my favorite part of Indian culture. It’s just so feminine and pretty!

I'm Indian and Hindu as well, and I've seen the same thing with my parents. My mom is the more dominant one, and my dad doesn't really act like a father, so she basically takes on both roles. The thing is though, my father isn't very respectable. In our culture, there's an emphasis on women being feminine and knowing how to cook and clean and whatnot, but males aren't really encouraged to be manly and respectable to the same degree. Or at least that's what I've noticed. Yes, it's important to re…

Everyone else pretty much addressed the important points, but I'm surprised nobody mentioned r/SkincareAddiction. It's a reallyyyy helpful sub and their wiki has lots of useful information. It's also important to note that everyone has different skincare needs, so skincare advice isn't really one-size-fits-all. It depends on your skin type and proclivities and conditions and whatnot. Simple Skincare Science is also one of my favorite skincare blogs. He does a lot of reviews and skincare guides, …

Everybody else has already raised some really good points, but I wanted to add: Treating sex as transactional reduces what is supposed to be a meaningful, loving, enjoyable, intimate, and significant experience between partners into a meaningless act that you are expected to perform. It’s just not the same as when both parties are happily and willingly engaging in an expression of love. Removing the intimacy of sex will wear down on the emotional bond between the both of you (at least that’s how…

I'm so grateful that my health is improving and I have a ton of external support that I've never had before.

I’m also in the same boat. I’m 19, in my third year of school and I also want to get at least my masters degree before I start a family... But I’m in nun mode right now for specific reasons and I will be for at least the next four months. It probably won’t mean much coming from me since I also have similar concerns, but when I’m ready, I think my strategy will be to try attracting and eventually dating slightly older men and being wayyyy more social in terms of joining clubs at my school that wo…

If you’re not okay with having an open relationship, then don’t force yourself to be okay with it, as it’ll only make you unhappy. There are ways to improve your sex life, although I’m not sure if he’s worth it.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
