We have an older conservative basis, but I argue the outlying regions are far more conservative. Jenison, Wyoming, Kentwood. Grand Valley is actually really isolated or directly in Grand Rapids proper, who has been voted one of the top ten gay friendly cities in the nation.

Why wouldn't you want your tubes tied, but are willing and expecting some else to continue on a hormonal treatment that may or may not be best suited for them for 30 years, so that you both can have sex unrelated to childbirth and still yield to a sense of reproductive rights. Part of reproductive rights, not just legally, dictates these responsibilities on both parties. Sorry, just trying to participate as an active discussion, not yield aggression.

Yes. It seems unfortunate but that's the gamble when having sex. Sex has consequences. Period. You could do things to prevent it yourself, like a vasectomy, which is reversable but also clarifies self resposibility as opposed to relying on others for that security.

Well, she did ditch her in a bar as opposed to a facility of care for a person with cerebral palsy and a 30-40 word vocab. If I was the bartender there, I would have fucking decked her. On top of that, she claims she did it to return home to her other mentally disabled child who will also one day be abandoned and comments that state compensation isn't enough for families with multiple disabled children.

I see the whole 'pay for a child you didn't agree to' is a consequence of neglect of responsibility. You participated in an action that is specifically designed to have that outcome, and if you don't know your partner well enough, that is your risk and gamble just as you risk the chance of STI's or STD's.
