Been there myself, I share your pain. Daughter brought her home as a stray, and owners ended up offering her to us. She fit in right away, and attached herself to me. From her spay information, she was about three when she came into our lives, and sixteen when we had to finally have her put down. It wasn't cancer, but old age and seizures were making it difficult for her. Sad day that one, and it still makes me tear up.

I live in Canada, so everything I say will be applicable to Canadians. Other countries may have similar or different rules. Women are given guides to self-examination that can lead to early detection and treatment. Mammograms are generally covered under medical plans. In the span of 8 years I went from $70K to $200+ by changing jobs and location. Thanks for that response ElectricDruid, much appreciated. Yeah, wasn't mentioned at the time. Probably goes in the Doctor's favour financially if they get to do surgery, so why would they suggest anything but? It's been OK, and I can't say I miss it anymore because it's been at least 20 years. I would say that unless it was medically necessary, it's still not something to be done, especially to an infant.

Having worked beside him for a year, I can understand, at least in part, why the first time. He IS difficult to deal with, and generally not respected nor liked at work. He does have a respectable Jeckel if you can get past the Hyde. If he had been the slightest RP, he would have tossed both of them out of the house and saved himself the grief that followed. Unfortunately, the rules in the Game of Marriage are heavily weighted to the Woman. He got away cheap.
