Or he's resentful that you had wasted his attention, or that you aren't living self-sufficienty enough - which may be a moral commentary in his mind. Either way, he's projecting onto you right now. Thats about him more than it is about you. You triggered some dysregulation. I can only imagine what the triggered response to women might be when she represents his [Jungian] anima!

Because people will dig in their heels even harder when your perspectives arent ready to be recieved. If it challenges their existing mental models (which is uncomfortable for anyone's ego), you'll be met with their egoic defensiveness to your wisdom. Even if you're spitting straight-facts.

all social akwardness boils down to fear. Dissociation from the ego and its fearful chattering works well for me. By learning how to be Present within myself, i dial down the fearful chattering dialogue, allowing myself to be more naturally me.

Horny ones frequent the club's, having an oversized weighting on what you think a typical is. A typical woman isn't a single 23yo. She's 40 and married with kids.

The situation is: I've been in analysis paralysis about ideal journaling methods. I believed that: I need to do journaling in the best way, from the start, so that the act has maximum value for my time. What's actually true: what I write about is more important than how it's written. (Basic CBT techniques) What I'm going to do about it: I'm going to keep a dollarstore journal in my briefcase for use at office, commuting, or at home. And spend 90 seconds filling out this 4-part template each time…

I know because that's pre-selection. Now all you got to do is become (genuinely) a more socially friendly person towards women when you're out, especially with the wife, and accept whatever abundance comes. Hint: you're not entitled to anything, so don't let your ego run rampant.

So the chick hitting on you pre-selects, and now your wife wants you more than ever! 😅 That's double pre-selection. Bizarre? Yes. Helpful? Yes!

One element of female seduction is confidence. Develop that internally, and some will be so caught up in you they'll rationalize away thoughts about external features.

Perhaps trying flirting with her now though. If she's suitably vibing it, then that's the green light to put yourself out there. If she's not vibing it, maybe it's time to refocus to the next 1000 girls you'll meet in your life.

If you're serious about improving, then consider writing down what you learn from past, this, and future interactions. Study your notes, revise them when wrong, and grow into who you see yourself as in 5 years.

Perhaps her coming over is an opportunity to tell her that you want to be FWB when she's single. It's on her to dump the dude and end the cheating. She gets access to you, but not committal, because she'll cheat, amiright?

Appreciate the thoughtful response. I've read the Marcus Aurelius Meditations, but not that version. Looking forward to that. Thanks. this nucleus of self-respect has to even be independent of what I do, or not do. Which is basically MRP heresy, because acta non verba Acta non verba is a rule for how to conduct oneself; it's about conduct; which relates to interactions with the world (external to you). Contrast this with what I'll call "a_r self-respect" which is what you described; this relates…

But you know what the biggest difference of all is? I'm not afraid like I was. I think that's the root of this happiness I feel right now. All this work I've done since the summer on unconditional self-respect has taken so much fear out of everyday life--almost all of it fear of myself. Fear of how I will treat myself if I do X or don't do Y, or if I make a huge mistake or don't become the next unicorn in my line of work. Not just fear of the external outcome, but fear of what I will make of the…

As imaginary as online communities are, I value remaining congruent with the community's norms, and as a new member, I don't see a problem with fleshing those norms out. Just because the community has a rude, no-nonsense type of culture (akin to Fight Club) doesn't mean I shouldn't give a fuck. If we all true didn't give a fuck, there's be no community, eh? Hopefully that makes sense.

Haven't drank more than one drink a week in over a month. However not seeing the mental clarity I expected (I used to have 4 or 5 a night). I've noticed that usually all I crave is fizz. To circumvent this I have been drinking Diet pop. This helps with the late night food cravings also. FYI- If you're interested in healthier carbonated alternatives, consider kombucha.
