Half right. I think the redpill is more correct on the diagnosis of whats going on in society but their solutions are terrible. Its the equivalent of thinking the solution to a concussion is a second bigger concussion to knock out the first one.

My girlfriend and I would get one each lol.

That's been slowly starting to change in some areas of the internet. But they're still pretty small right now. Pro-male body positivity/"different is ok" memes have been sort of popping up in my FB feed sporadically. They get shot down pretty quickly if put out to the greater public like Twitter though. But that's still a LOT more than what I would've seen even 5 years ago.

If those men are average (4 to 6), then I'm a -2 that should just hide in a closet forever, but I've had a pretty normal sex life too after 28 so... I guess that explains some of the horror stories that happened to me and other engineering majors in college lol.

No. At least not close friends. Less likely than a ONS even. All my relationships but one started as a flame right from the beginning and my current one started as a weekend sexcation and that one was barely an acquaintance.

I would say a 7.5. This is the happiest I've been since.. well at least since I can remember, and a long way from the 1.5-2 I was in a couple years ago. It's amazing what a girlfriend, a job, and an environment that is encouraging can do for you. The source is right on two out of three to me. Traditional masculinity I notice is hard to define because everyone thinks it's something different but a lack of sex, lack of outlets, lack of support from society in general is pushing some men to the bri…

I mean... it's worked better than mainstream dating advice for men by a country mile. I suggest do the research on that, even psychologists are proving redpill advice right piece by piece. Women online actively use redpill/blackpill thinking to judge men. It sucks, but what ya gonna do. I'll give ya a starting article. https://www.studyfinds.org/unattractive-men-dating-material-study/

YMMV. My own experiences and the personal experiences of others indicate that TRP is pretty accurate about the dating market in general. About women it's a mixed bag. The female able to date easier I don't think many my gen argue about. The stuff about women's attitudes though are a little more based on the absolute worst women out there, but I alone got enough nightmare stories to make a few movies out of them. I was in college some 15+ years ago and I lived in a town that everyone tells me now…

Is it weird or too "beta" to see your friend marry a really drop-dead gorgeous girl you once dated (for a short time) but you're just happy for him because of all the crap he went through?

This is weird to me. I was told by my age dating apps are the ONLY way to meet women now. (This is advice from a woman as well) because women don't want to deal with random strangers in public anymore. Too risky.

I've been through 5 of these in my life. Three in my first year of being dx'd with this issue. I'm trying to get it pushed back one more year so that I can focus more on other parts of my life but it's likely my doctor is not gonna do that this time. My only worry is if he recommends surgery. Don't wanna deal with that if it's truly not necessary. Thank goodness I already have someone or no pill in the world would save me from a colostomy bag in the dating market.

It's one thing if it is worry for safety, I get that. It's another if it's simply because he's a "cheapskate". So suggest a picnic.

I felt like the advice was somewhat outdated but I do think he means well. I don't think he realizes a lot of guys have actually tried to get a life, some of us repeatedly, and we had it shoved back in our faces for it. But I doubt he's thinking that deep into it. Kind of hard to when everything's going well. The "be a hero to women" part tho still remains good advice. I don't want to be forced to go to a virtual world to have a social life either. I can barely stand half the people I meet here …

R-slurred? Also, I'm still of the belief that's not gonna help if everyone is thinking what they're saying online. Then again, my RL experiences have been better recently once you leave high school and college..
/r/PurplePillDebate14/11/21 02:49 AM
2

I'm starting to think that depends on where you live. I've seen male friends get immediately redflagged for offering to cook on a date because it signalled "cheapskate" whereas since I left there and moved to where I'm at now, it's seen as a positive.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/11/21 02:44 AM
3

I'm not gonna give it away, but when I was younger, most women I dated immediately cut a guy off if his idea for ANY date was to cook for the woman at home. I asked one girl in college why she let a guy go for it and she said because it signalled "cheapskate".

She disagrees to a point but can't deny seeing guy friends struggle badly with women and especially the experiences that I and a couple others have had. There's exceptions to the rule though and I've promised myself if I found someone that was different I would treasure that.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/11/21 02:20 AM

So this is one where I gotta disagree with the TRP side. I can't say for the sub, but I'm a living AWALT disprover. I have virtually every dating market disadvantage out there and I still found someone. Everyone I know who was TRP said I was pretty much screwed when the only thing I had going for me was my height, and 6'1" isn't exactly "ideal man height", it's just enough. (I know I heard it was like 6'3 or 6'4). TRP is great for a general idea of what the world is thinking, but there are alway…

I guess I'm technically redpill to many here because I agree with their view of the modern dating market and how the world works today in a general sense. I don't hate women at all. My girlfriend is amazing, I have several female friends and they all are pretty different from the typical people (I can't even say women because a lot of the bluepilled men are pretty terrible too) I deal with online. As far as solutions I feel like this is where TRP doesn't talk very much about it. Seems to be divi…

My data curiosity is tingling. I looked at the demographics of people on PPD and seeing where they stood (red, blue and all in between) over the data I could get. It seems starting out blue pill/blue pill leaning outnumbered red pill/red pill leaning 2:1 but over the last few years it's now the reverse. And 2021's seem closer to 5:2 if you count black pill in the redpill camp and pink pill in the blue one. I'm curious as to why. My instincts say its because TRP is winning the debate as a lot of …

I'm open to listening and watching the next 5 years of stats on this. If the trends continue then yes, it should be investigated sooner. Otherwise, no, it's a pandemic and men don't care when it comes to sex and are willing to take more risks. I wouldn't write a eulogy for TRP just yet because right now, the eye test doesn't work in your favor when even fems admit to subconsciously using redpill/blackpill ideology to their advantage themselves.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/11/21 09:33 PM
1

I know its cliche af but we'd avoid a lot of the issues we have today if people really were just nicer, open and more empathic to differing viewpoints. It's why I'm willing to talk with just about anyone (who won't threaten me).
/r/PurplePillDebate13/11/21 08:17 PM
2

I'm still predicting this is because it's a pandemic and women are less likely to take risks on their health during said pandemic, vaccinated or not. We'll know over the next 5 years. If trends stay as is, I was wrong. If they reverse then I guess I called it. I wouldn't write a eulogy for TRP right now though.. let's talk when the media isn't so lopsided in their sentiments and the # of messages men get in OLD sites starts shooting up.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/11/21 08:15 PM

Well, I think we'll know when the 2022/2023 numbers come out. If this trend stays it's probably something else. If it reverses, I think the risk issue would stand for me.

This seems to be an ongoing thing, so I'd love to ask. Do you think people online generally are saying what they actually want to say but are too afraid to say in person or do you think they're here to vent or troll? It seems depending on which side of the fence you're on this issue is how you view life in general (not just the dating scene or feminism/TRP).
/r/PurplePillDebate13/11/21 04:16 PM
1

Sort of, yeah. Dealing with people online has given me a much more antagonistic view of people around me, except I believe this is how people actually think and are too afraid to say in person. I'm sure others who come up with stuff like the threadstarter probably think the same thing.. only they go down a rabbit hole that's too dystopian even for me, at least for now.

I hate this question, I hate this question, I hate this question. I'm sorry, this question triggers me because it makes love feel so transactional and lifeless. Especially since any answer you think is favorable could get waived off. From my own experience: Over 6 feet? Cool, but you're Asian so no thanks. I make close to 6 figures? Great, but you're an engineer which is too nerdy a job. Come back to me when you're a poker pro making that much. I have decent social skills. Ok, but you stim here …
/r/PurplePillDebate13/11/21 04:11 PM
2

Yeah, actually I'm the opposite. I crave affection and love. But I have quirks that make things just as difficult as if I were more markedly autistic since society still has a zero-tolerance policy for some of those quirks like the occasional stimming and emotional outburst.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/11/21 04:08 PM

I think the problem is that in society and mainstream media one side is heavily discouraged while the other side is at best overlooked and at worst encouraged. That lopsidedness in... everything is what needs to be tackled I feel if we are gonna get anywhere. There are small seeds that are starting to sprout that are realizing this, but its still a very small movement, esp compared to more hardline groups like TRP.

I'm a mild aspie. I kinda wanna take in information from both sides to see what's really going on more than anything else. I get an idea over what people really think of me and people like me as opposed to what they are too afraid to say elsewhere.

Oh I can cook (everything but stovetop anyway). It's just I have an autoimmune disorder that leaves me very fatigued if I have to do lots of things on my own. I only have so many spoons to use up and its less spoons than most. Cooking/cleaning up I'll run out of spoons before I get to it.

When you deal with people online enough it makes you start to think things. I mentioned in an earlier post you'd be surprised how many feminists on social media follow redpill/blackpill thinking when dealing with men they don't find attractive. And that's a scary combination because then they go down a eugenics rabbit hole that makes me wince. EDIT: And I get people will say "That's online" but I've felt like people say things online what they really think that they wouldn't say in person anyway…

A girl I dated for a few months taught me how to get by without alcohol (since I'm allergic). Get there early and order a Cherry Coke (say its Cherry Coke & Rum) or a Sprite/7Up (forgot what drink that imitates), tell your waiter/waitress the issue if you gotta and you're set. It got me a one-night stand. Lucky me cherry coke is my constant go-to.

Went through the financial budget over the last couple months and been learning that I must be in the rare case of my girlfriend actually lowering my budget by a tiny bit. When she moved in she convinced me to eat in more and more. I used to eat out for most of my meals if not almost all of them due to being too fatigued to do much of anything other than work, game, and sleep. Even with two people eating in and us going to do an activity once a month or so, it's still a tiny bit of a drop though…

I'm here for meaningful debate and I try not to invalidate anyone's experiences or feelings unless those feelings are just so off the mark I can't help it. Problem is, it seems like its way easier and more effective to most peoples' causes to just say a few platitudes for your team, call the other side a shitty slur and call it a day. I've been on political Twitter long enough to know this as an example. So most will go with what works.

I mean its addictive to be admired yeah, and the current girlfriend I'm with right now we're kinda just taking it in stride. She's the first girl I've met who hasn't done what I call a '180', which is show a ton of interest in me one day and then completely ghost me the next. Used to think that was because of my looks or my ethnicity or my career path... didn't know BPDs just... did that for the hell of it.

The crazy thing is the only pizza chain who's pepperoni I can consistently eat okay is also the cheapest: Little Caesars. All the others is depending on if I'm flared up or not (Jet's, Papa John's) or I can't have it at all (Domino's, Marco's, Pizza Hut, Cali Pizza Kitchen, Sbarro, etc.)

Thought about that. Meeting women IRL where I live is a different experience from where I used to live. Where I used to live they are almost identical to women online. I would say though most men I've met online are pretty terrible too, just in different ways.

The only reason I can give is because it's harsh and such harsh thinking can lead to depressed people. We were taught from when we were young that everyone is special in their own way and its just straight up gaslighting when we are kids. They don't want us to realize we've been gaslit because if we can't trust them on this aspect of life, it'll start making us question what else they've been lying to us about.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/11/21 01:02 PM

More like blonde and young. Or redhead and young. And she's attractive but "not the minimum level of attractiveness you need for doors of opportunity to open to you". She apparently is like one tier "below" that.

Not much of a difference honestly. Internet women that I talk to just seem to be more blunt about what they want which can be good or bad. Good because I know exactly what they don't like about me (having racial slurs thrown at me, being told they don't want a nerdy guy, etc.). I got some nightmare stories about how I fell into TRP and most of them involved encounters with women online. You would be surprised how many feminists online apply TRP and even blackpill thinking openly when talking to …

/r/PurplePillDebate12/11/21 03:53 AM

Actually she knows pretty much everything that I know about this stuff and in agreement with me that TRP is right about how the dating market works, but their solutions are barbaric at best. And she's happy to heal me and love me for my faults. And honestly for the first time since I had my heart broken and lied to for the first time during my teenage years, I believe her. The advice and views I give on here are in a general sense, so I understand I'm pretty lucky. I wouldn't even take my own ad…

No the guys were legit focused on marriage. It started that I had trouble dating period but then one of them saw a pattern and just started saying what I mentioned above there. They also held this belief that the more attractive girl you marry, the more doors of opportunity will open to you.. I don't feel like digging up those old texts to go into detail though. I just know they proved their point well in a general sense, but much like my own posts, the keyword is general I guess. YMMV.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/11/21 03:39 AM

"Be yourself" is the worst advice I've ever been given when it came to just general dating, or if not the worst, definitely in the bottom 3. Ideally yes, if you find someone who matches you perfectly and shares your core values "being yourself" works, but most aren't so lucky. I have a friend who's 33 and a virgin still searching for that person by "being himself" while life passed him by.

You know what got me out of falling completely into redpill thinking? Having just about every disadvantage in the dating market (half-Asian, engineer, too nice for my own good, aspie, an autoimmune disorder, grew up in an abusive religious household) yet I still have had a fairly healthy love life and I found someone in my life who I legit plan to marry. My ex-friends waive it off like "Oh she's not a 'top-tier' woman" or "You just got really lucky" but yeah, I think at its core there's gotta be…

I'm not gonna lie that I'm pretty sure the women I've tried to date in the past have been unobtainable for some reason or another. I was kind of a running joke amongst my other redpilled friends at the time who told me "When it comes to top-tier women, you choke" but those women were extremely fickle. Liked me one minute, completely cooled off the next.. usually for no reason.

Clinton and Harris aren't disliked by a massive amount of people because they're women. It's a combination of them following the cookie cutter Democrat agenda mixed with the media shoving them in everyone's faces that gives them additional hate regardless of what they do. Not defending either because I'm not a Democrat, but objectively it has everything to do with media trying to push not just any woman into a leadership position but one with a certain set of beliefs and then they push them to a…

In a nutshell, I think they're more accurate than mainstream/bluepilled people over how the dating market works today, but they think it entitles them to terrible solutions that don't help anyone out, even themselves.

Could be where I live, I dunno. I won't say exactly where I live but hookups were usually the easiest way to find a long lasting relationship where I was, if you could find a long lasting relationship at all.

I mean its posts like that is exactly the reason why I said TRP is "right diagnosis, wrong solutions".

I've been on both sides of the equation. I've been the one people saw as an instant "forever alone" and I've had a side chick w/ an open relationship and everything in between. The only difference between those times had nothing to do with how I looked, how much I lifted, or a change in personality. It had everything to do with being in the right place at the right time and taking the right opportunity. You can work on yourself but the effort can only go so far. If you have too few features that…

There are just some features that are seen as objectively unattractive/attractive by enough of the population that it would be very difficult for those on the outside looking in to date, no matter how much confidence and soul-searching they go through.

I saw redpill spread like wildfire in social anxiety, depression, and Asperger's groups I frequented 10+ years ago and the result is what we got today. In one in particular it got so bad, the moderators lost control of the board and shut it down for a few months before rebooting it. Thing is, when it comes to how the world works TRP has it better than mainstream/bluepill/feminist advice, and more recent studies on dating/love/sex have 9 times out of 10 favored TRP philosophy. To me, it's not eve…

Do whatever you want but that your value should not be based on the man or woman you're with, or your n-count. I feel like TRP puts too much value on it and bluepillers put too much value more subtly while pretending to be otherwise (which to me is even more dangerous).

Oh wow, I've been trying to find info on that graph beyond 2018. I wonder what happened there. Pandemic? EDIT: Nevermind, I'm looking for the ones of those who haven't had sex since they were 18. There's a graph that goes to 2018 but not much beyond that.

I partially feel like it's due to our current dating market and societal norms.. a good market of men find women their age or younger unattainable so they try to meet women a little older. Also, I notice our current media trends shame men who date women even 5 years younger than them but encourage women to date as young as they want. I mentioned in an earlier post, I've seen women in their 50s doing real well in niche dating groups with men half their age while men in their mid 30s are pretty mu…

Not 100% sure about that. I've been in FB groups where there were women in their early 50s still able to get messages from guys half their age. Granted, it was one of those specialized kind of groups and the guys aren't exactly super-desirable by women either and the women at least from their pics looked way younger than their age was, but it's not really what I'd call "drying up". Of course it's just personal anecdote, but it seems like its men's options that start drying up in their 30s lately…

Sounds about right. Used to hang around with a bunch of guys who would put women in "tiers" and if the consensus was the woman was an S-tier or A-tier, they were seen as desirable regardless of what you might've thought of them. That was your goal in life, to date and marry one of them and get with as many of them as you can. I always get told when it came to A-tier women or higher, I always screwed up. Makes me feel like garbage when I hear that.

I've heard friends of my parents talk about how they started as friends for years and eventually turned into lovers. It wasn't an uncommon thing to hear. But for my gen (Millennials) I have NEVER heard this work. You'll hear people growing a friendship out of what started as lust (like my current one), but not the other way around.

In a nutshell, I blame media influence. Most mainstream media I see tell women they can be independent and don't need a guy while they tell men in the same breath they're worthless without at least a woman (if not more) by their side.

I see a lot of guys saying "any dating advice from women" but I think it's more like "taking dating advice at all from anyone who doesn't know you or hasn't seen or experienced your situation at least secondhand." Some people really are really damn unlucky in love.

Two of my friends are 37 and 33 and both virgins. The 37-yr old is asexual, the 33-yr old gets turned down a lot because he's Asian and short, this despite having a job as an accountant.. and he's been gradually more depressed with each passing year. It's funny, 10 yrs ago, he said the one thing he didn't want to be was me (who was a 25-yr old virgin at the time). Guess he wishes he changed his mind about that now, lol.

For whatever reason this post is kind of reminding me of that time I was on OKCupid and I messaged this cute freckled redhead only ~2-3 yrs younger than me, and her response was "Sorry, I only date men 6'2" or taller." I'm 6'1". 😂

I was sympathetic to TRPs, MGTOWs, and those that turned into incels a while ago due to dealing with one terrible rejection after another ranging from just simple "Eww, Asian boy/creepy engineering boy" comments to having the police called on me for saying "hi" to a girl to someone screaming at the top of their lungs over being around me during my late teens/early 20s. Felt like TRP was definitely more aware of the world around them than my friends were even tho everyone told me they were "toxic…

Yeah, pretty much. When it comes to understanding the world around them, I think they get it right 90+% of the time better than professionals do. Mainstream claims to discredit them typically fall flat on their butt. The problem has always been what they want to do about it, not if they're right or wrong to me and many of them really do wanna make "The Handmaid's Tale" or other dystopias a reality. Call me naive if you want, but I don't believe that we need to put down any one person in order to…

It's a human trait I think. Lack of connection/empathy to those less fortunate will result in you thinking you got where you are more by skill rather than by luck or timing. "Bleeding heart liberal" women have more selection in the dating market similar to how many "red pilled" men have more selection in the job/financial market. So they won't empathize with those less fortunate. So maybe its an empathy problem.

You want to spend most of your free time together. You likely share similar interests or at least are willing to do interests with the other person that isn't too far out of your comfort zone. Lot more trust. Most importantly the conversations you can have with them and how you talk on the same wavelength. That feeling that numbers and status and looks tiers and N-counts mean nothing because you've found that person who makes you so happy you can ignore the noise. Honestly, it's a thing that TRP…

Different reasons. One was because I was so obsessed with status and let redpilled friends back then ruin what was a pretty decent relationship with a decently hot girl simply because she wasn't conventionally attractive. One was racism (by her). One was incompatibility. One was dating abroad was too difficult and it took its toll. One was religious reasons (by her).

Problem is their advice at least from experience (and apparently lately on a macro level if studies are to suggest) has been generally in their favor. Maybe not AWALT, that's an absolute, but a more general, less "marketable" initialism like MWALT (Most). The taller, richer, more extroverted, more aggressive, more Machiavellian/narcissistic, more attractive men get what they want and end up with happier lives overall. Are there exceptions? Sure, there are. But for the good majority, if they had …

My feeling on TRP is "Right diagnosis, wrong solutions." I feel like TRP is on to something when it comes to how the dating market works, and academic studies I follow that relate to relationships/sex 9 times out of 10 run their way, despite the media or bluepillers trying to shuffle it under the rug. But in this case, wrong solutions is highlighted boldly, as one mentioned there are people there who have said that if not for sex, women would be hunted for sport. Uhhh... that doesn't sound like …

Looks: 4-5, at least as told from photo judging sites like photofeeler Finances: 8, not quite a millionaire yet but def on my way to one. Personality: I dunno. Depends. Status: 4. As far as status of desirability, I'm a half-Asian and that has always held me back in life regardless of my financial status. Social Skills: 4, I'm an introvert but if it's something in my comfort zone or just outside of it I can be pretty talkative.
