I agree that the accomplishment gas been overshadowed by the,reaction to his shirt. But that's typical of the human psyche. I don't think any punishment should be dished out. But I do understand why people were outraged and that is because his shirt counters what the scientific community has expressed in terms of hiring more women. I'm sure his intentions were benign (serious) but it doesn't matter what his intentions are. The shirt had women in cheesecake poses, stylized photographs designed to boost a soldiers' morale. Many women that posed for these type of pictures were taken advantage of and did not have much of a choice. The shirt not only disrespects women by showing them as nothing more than sex objects but it presents them in the time capsule when women didn't have much say in their lives.
