5'8 is about 170cm. 5'11 is about 180cm. It's noticeable, especially when I'm wearing my work boots and he's barefoot since they add an extra inch lol. When we first got together, my mum wanted me to break up with him and one of her reasons was that he was short.

Hey from a tall lady (5'11) who's very happily married to short guy (5'8). Please don't let those pathetic comments get to you. Anyone who thinks like that isn't worth your time.

Yes but also no I think it's important for everyone to mix and be friends. But I also understand that sometimes being around just men is important for men. Especially young men. Every single college organised activity is open for anyone to attend. They shut down the Bucks and Hens night last year in the name of progressivism (guys went to golf and then to a set of pubs, girls went to mini golf and then to a set of cocktail bar, everyone met up towards the end of the night), and this year you jus…

I never really mentioned talking, especially in the part you highlighted. However, part of my job role is be in communication with everyone. I'm asking for advice on how I can allow this mateship development positively in a masculine environment whilst also being "present" with my job. I don't want to impose and take over their space but I still have a job to do.

I'm like a communication person between the residents and admin. I keep the peace, organise activities, lay down the law when needed. I'm meant to the first point of contact if there's an issue on the floor or with a resident. Deal with patrol aspects and issues to do with living on college

I mean like a space where brotherhood and mateship can develop naturally since sometimes men need men. I don't want everything to be men only and women only, but every now and then a thing where just the men can go together is good in my opinion. I understand that there are some male issues that I won't be able to help with or even understand because I am a woman. Not to mention that they my just simply not want to talk to me about it since I'm female. So developing a space where they are comfor…

I want to let them know that I fully support them creating a male support networks since there are times that men need men. I don't want to segregate people, but sometimes with some issues, men will be more comfortable dealing it with other men. I want to create a space of brotherhood and mateship where they can relate and help eachother

As an actual woman in STEM, I really hate this push. It makes me seem like got a piggy back to get where I am and what I have. I went on trips like this with girls who had no interest in STEM at all. It would have been way more beneficial for me to go on trips with truly like minded peers, male and female. I'm not a woman scientist - I'm a scientist.

That's what I'm expressing. The laws are horrible. It should be classes as rape.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
