He sounds autistic. Honestly, it sounds like he read trp and is trying to do it literally. I don't think its about competition. It's more of I don't want to share my resources for someone else's benefit. We're all selfish in the end. If I want to be altruistic, it will be of my own volition and terms.

In my own experience I find its more of them assuming attractive as the baseline and they're just stating personality qualities they want in a person they already find attractive. I guess that kinda creates the impression that it's all about personality when in reality they're assuming attractive is a given.
