1	Only getting rejection when going direct In how far have your indirect approaches been more "successful"? Did they yield you at least any dates? Just because interactions were longer doesn't mean they were going anywhere. If you're a small shy guy I highly doubt women were scared of you. 1	Why do women say: "The bar is so low for men" yet to get any results from cold approach as an avg guy, the interaction has to be exceptional basically. And even then nothing is guaranteed They say this because the man they think of in their head when saying it is a good looking successful interesting guy they feel nervous being around.
