5	Female singers and the men in the background Goldfrapp (English synthpop band big in the 00s) is not a solo act, it’s actually a duo with Alison Goldfrapp and Will Gregory. Really at the end of the day usually the face associated with any act is the singer and with some exceptions like the smashing pumpkins if a band is mixed gender a woman will be the face of it. Not really a gender or double standards issue. Maybe you’re thinking of “women in the background” the wrong way. 15	Anyone feel like feminists use the word “men” too often? It’s really only an issue because within left politics, “men” and especially “white men” has inherently negative connotations and is basically a flashing “boooo” sign on a 90s talk show. Remember the “White Dudes for Harris?” Zoom call?
