| 1 | Michelle Carter Denied Parole in Texting Suicide CaseAgain, I’m not defending her position. No need to convince me of anything, we’re all on the same page... was only reiterating what the documentary explained to answer OP question on this sub thread. | /r/PussyPassDenied | 21/09/19 02:11 PM |
| 1 | Michelle Carter Denied Parole in Texting Suicide CaseIf you watch the HBO documentary on this case, there’s a one or two people yelling this at her on her way into court, caught on camera/audio. | /r/PussyPassDenied | 21/09/19 07:28 AM |
| -1 | Michelle Carter Denied Parole in Texting Suicide CaseI was merely answering the OP question. Yes, IT IS TRUE that her defense argued 1st amendment rights to speech at trial. I am not defending that position in this case. The outcome is already known so the veracity of the argument is assumed to be known and thus not a matter of debate. What kind of precedent it sets is rather murky. If I said to you, right now in this comment to harm yourself, would I be responsible for your actions? That’s basically the game her lawyers played, anyway. | /r/PussyPassDenied | 21/09/19 07:06 AM |
| 1 | Michelle Carter Denied Parole in Texting Suicide CaseBasically, it’s her freedom of speech (that was her legal defense, in part). Not supporting her, just trying to answer your question. | /r/PussyPassDenied | 20/09/19 10:16 PM |
