Escalation. At least with my anecdotal evidence, kissing then into making out can escalate further if you baby step it. It can also make her shut down. And with Christian accountability groups, news can travel that you are a tempter which could put you in an unfavorable spot.

Coming from someone who over thinks things like it's his purpose in life, don't think just do. That's how I get into trouble socially, not allowing myself to just do what I want and rather think of others interpretations and reactions. Just shake their hand, keep eye contact, smile, then just say "hi, I'm _______" it's worked for me so far. Don't do it as though it's formal and cold, it's warm friendly and inviting.

New to this but started opening with "hey who are you" then introduce myself following their response. I've been greeted with nothing but smiles so far. No creepy or disinterested looks, just a smile, introduction and an opening to kino with a handshake.
