I was an only child raised by a single mom that worked a lot. My father was in and out of my life but large gaps of time passed where I didn't see him. He was a nomad of sorts. My grandfather and uncle were like surrogate fathers to me, in the sense that they'd come to my games, practices, help my mom in giving me rides places, babysitting, etc. but they didn't talk to me about 'the birds and the bees'. Everything I learned about social settings, personal finance, women, etc. was learned through…

I was raised by a single mom and never had any issues implementing any of the above. What is the implication in thread title?

I've actually matched with a good amount of hot chicks, even some models. But they are virtually impossible to hook up, or to even maintain a conversation with, beyond the obligatory "Hey :)" or "Hi 👋🏻" that you get from them.

I just smoke weed or drink a few strong IPA's before sex, which seems to work well. Only time I've had trouble keeping it up was my first time with a chick, usually performance anxiety

Have you noticed that bagging hot chicks in this area is more difficult than other areas, or is it just me?

This has been an issue for me, as I'm not from the area. Most of my buddies in my social circle are not associated with the type of women I'm interested in. Nearly all of my good friends from back home are engaged/married now. So basically I'm a lone wolf atm

Very true. I've also noticed that OnDat has made me more cynical in that I'll download the app, invariably end up getting frustrated, delete it, and repeat this process one bored night after a few weeks. I hopped on the Tinder wave after a breakup around 2014 and had great success for a short period, but nowadays it really is just a time suck.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
