The original MGTOW was something that got hijacked by redpilllers and incels who flooded the subreddit with highly racist, homophobic, and misogynistic content. This MGTOW subreddit is more true to how MGTOW was when I first discovered it. Originally MGTOW emphasized focusing on improving yourself and your situation, then incels hijacked it and turned it into a crying and bitching dumpster fire, while doing nothing to better their life.

All the meetups I've been in have discords or some kinda groupchat. Sometimes I even hang out with people I've met in the meetups outside of the meetups. I can spin MGTOW ideologies in a positive light since most of it's philosophy comes from stoicism and epicureanism. I don't push them though, lol. I don't mind explaining. At the same time . . . I kinda like my space as a MGTOW. I see where your coming from, this mentality has backfired on me before. One of my best friends is completely in the camp of marry, have kids, buy nice cars, etc. Then because of bad decisions (thinking with his dick) damn near went bankrupt, and I had to use my own money to pull them out of it. I wouldn't wish that on anyone. *sigh* maybe there is a balance.

I've found friends through meetups and hobbies. Reddit meetups work quite well too. Just jump on any chance to socialize through an activity you enjoy. Meetups are in fact the best for come and go relationships. Niche activities are usually more inviting because they are always looking for more participants.
