Use what against me? She’s already tried and failed. There’s nothing left to use against me.

Hey we’re all in this together. I’m just glad I could provide a little positivity after some of the worst years of my life
/r/Divorce_Men25/05/23 06:12 PM

Make sure you don’t get worked up. It’s going to be tough listening to her bullshit but keep your emotions in check.

Oh yeah I’m done with marriage and I’m only in my 30s. She’s on her third engagement and it’s this guys first. I guess some of us need to learn the hard way..

Yeah it’s crazy how common these women and situations are

As long as you’re currently doing the right thing then nothing else matters. Good luck man.

A lot of our coparenting issues (communication) are from our time together that were never resolved. It’s been difficult having a real conversation with her because she gets super defensive or ignores me. I’m really interested to see what a trained professional thinks.

I never understood why women needed to post on a Men’s divorce page. Maybe the mods changed in the last year because I got a shit load of hate for suggesting women stay off this page. Good to see things have gotten better
/r/Divorce_Men08/04/23 02:13 AM

Lol this sub has come a long way. I made a comment like this last year and was belittled for not allowing everyone to have an opinion, it’s the whole reason I left this board.

I feel bad for the guys who still fall for this shit. Ugh I use to be one of them too.

My ex started living with her boyfriend and my 2 year old after a few weeks of dating and lied to me about it for months. Imagine how that would feel.
/r/Divorce_Men27/03/23 05:12 PM

It’s crazy the mods here don’t consider calling someone a homo hateful. Done with this board.
/r/Divorce_Men11/11/22 05:24 PM
14

It’s her way of sucking you back in. Meanwhile she’s opening her legs for anyone who gives her any attention. My ex is the same way her behavior is fucking disgusting. But somehow things are still always my fault. Narcissists gonna narcissist.
/r/Divorce_Men11/11/22 01:15 AM

I was literally quoting what the other poster said. That’s why I used quotations. There’s so many trolls on this page.
/r/Divorce_Men09/11/22 07:15 PM
7

Absolutely no self reflection. They just jump right into the next relationship and claim all of their ex’s abused them. They are doing a huge disservice to women who are actually being abused.
/r/Divorce_Men09/11/22 06:40 PM
2

I didn’t make any assumptions.
/r/Divorce_Men09/11/22 06:32 PM

Maybe this board isn’t for you then. Calling people a crazy homo is the opposite of what we’re trying to do here. But good luck on your journey.

If you don’t want an “echo chamber” then find another board. This is for guys to support each other.
/r/Divorce_Men09/11/22 05:14 PM

Yeah I learned quickly that guys weren’t allowed to vent on that sub. Unfortunately I’m seeing a lot of women giving their opinions on the Men’s divorce page recently.
/r/Divorce_Men09/11/22 01:31 PM

My ex always made fun of me for being too sensitive. Like sorry I have feelings and I’m capable of expressing them.

2 bad years?! Try 2 bad months and my wife kicked me out and kept my 4 month old child away from me. I feel horrible for my son.
/r/Divorce_Men07/11/22 05:02 AM

I never understand why there’s so many women giving their opinions on a Men’s divorce sub.

I’ve noticed a lot of women on social media are upset with Brady. Their opinions come across like projecting most of the time.

My ex has such an unhealthy relationship with her father. Nobody is ever good enough for his baby girl. Like please she’s not a fucking princess.

I’m 37 with 2 kids and have been seriously considering getting snipped.
/r/Divorce_Men02/11/22 07:16 PM

So you would nut in them when they weren’t on birth control and didn’t tell them you were snipped?
/r/Divorce_Men02/11/22 06:12 PM

Ugh I’m hoping my ex isn’t like this when my son gets older. I’m the one gives him a hug when he’s sad, she tells him he’s fine and to stop crying.

Said the same thing to my a ex a few years ago. That if it was an issue I can have him all week and she can take a weekends. She never asked for money after that.
/r/Divorce_Men26/10/22 07:51 PM

Same here. Her ex was abusive, apparently now I’m the abusive one and now her young new boyfriend is here to save the day. Almost feel bad for the guy. Almost…
/r/Divorce_Men24/10/22 11:04 AM

Mine doesn’t fuck around. He’s honest sometimes I forget who he’s defending lol.
/r/Divorce_Men21/10/22 09:24 PM

Yeah just focus on the kids. Being a good dad is the best revenge. At the end of the day that guy is living with my son. He has a daily reminder about the life she lived before meeting this loser.

My ex moved in with her boyfriend after a few months and, more than likely, is posting tons of pictures of them with my son. It’s disgusting and her followers eat that shit up.

If you go digging you’ll always find something you don’t want to see. These women are all the same.
/r/Divorce_Men19/10/22 01:33 PM

Ignore them. Who’s cares what they say. Just be a good father to your girls.
/r/Divorce_Men11/10/22 11:55 PM
2

My ex brought her dad to an exchange recently and he screamed at me in front of my son. Disgust doesn’t even come close to describe how I feel about him. He thinks he’s justified because she showed him some texts where I called her ass out on her bullshit. In her family they consider that abuse. So in retaliation they harassed me in a public parking lot.
/r/Divorce_Men11/10/22 11:52 PM
2

Did you confront her about it after reading the emails? I bet you saw some nasty shit.
/r/Divorce_Men11/10/22 11:44 PM

/r/Divorce_Men02/10/22 05:56 PM

Relax man I’m sure my lawyer knows what he’s doing no need for insults.

In my area we just say she’s from Delco lol. She has 2 masters and the emotional maturity of a toddler. Actually that’s not fair to toddlers…
/r/Divorce_Men01/10/22 06:40 PM
7

When I first met her she told me her ex husband physically abused her. I called her out recently about it and she acted like she never said that. I’ve been thinking about reaching out to him but that’s not fair to him.
/r/Divorce_Men01/10/22 06:39 PM
3

Oh she knows she’s being recorded after that shit she pulled.
/r/Divorce_Men01/10/22 05:17 PM
4

It all happened so fast. I’m not a fighter though so I’m not sure why they thought that would work. This probably ended up working in my favor.
/r/Divorce_Men01/10/22 05:09 PM
3

He’s really racist as well. Hopefully he gets what he deserves one of these days.
/r/Divorce_Men01/10/22 05:04 PM
7

If he comes near me again we’re filing a PFA. They’ve been warned. They’re not the kind of people that like being told what to do. So we’ll see what happens…
/r/Divorce_Men01/10/22 05:03 PM
8

It kills her that I’m such a good father. It goes against her victim narrative I guess.
/r/Divorce_Men01/10/22 04:56 PM

My lawyer informed her if he ever comes to another exchange we will file a PFA.

Buying a dash cam after work today. Hopefully they’re easy to install.
/r/Divorce_Men01/10/22 04:03 PM

Seriously I feel so bad for my son. All I can do is keep track of everything and take her ass back to court. Maybe eventually I can get primary custody.
/r/Divorce_Men01/10/22 04:02 PM
5

Unfortunately that’s a little difficult since our son is so young, and he has a full leg cast. He broke his leg on her watch.
/r/Divorce_Men01/10/22 03:59 PM
8

To put things into perspective… she told me how amazing I was during her pregnancy and that I took great care of her when we came home from the hospital. But 3 months later she kicks me out because we had a few arguments. I guess that’s considered abuse nowadays /s
/r/Divorce_Men01/10/22 03:55 PM

Yeah that’s what my lawyer said. I’m in a 2 party consent state so she’s aware I’ll be recording our interactions going forward.

My ex is about to be married a 3rd time while it’s his 1st time. He thinks he’s a white knight saving the day. Life is about to hit him hard lol.

She pulled the old bait and switch
/r/Divorce_Men29/09/22 09:17 AM

He has my name and she wants him to have hers. I don’t try to understand her anymore. It’s a lost cause unfortunately.
/r/Divorce_Men29/09/22 12:47 AM

I’m convinced most of these guys have never been in a serious relationship and these women take full advantage of that. They don’t even know what red flags are, let alone how to identify them.
/r/Divorce_Men28/09/22 06:04 PM
9

Yeah they can be very malicious. A few days ago I meet her in our usual spot, only this time she brought her dad. He screams at me and tells me I’m a piece of shit and horrible father in front of my 2 year old. I called my lawyer and he told her we will be filing a PFA if he comes anywhere near me again. I had to see her the next day and she starts giving me attitude about not taking her bag with some clothes in it. I want to say it gets easier but that’s not true, we just have to learn to adapt…
/r/Divorce_Men28/09/22 12:59 PM

I never realized how different men and women were until going through a divorce. She put me through absolute hell and I’m still trying to be a nice guy for my kids.
/r/Divorce_Men28/09/22 12:31 PM
21

Another guy coming to the rescue of a helpless mom with 4 kids. I have one question… why?
/r/Divorce_Men27/09/22 11:28 PM
1

Well if you ask my ex her solution is to move her boyfriend into her house after a few months of dating. Hard to believe when she tells me our son is her main priority.
/r/Divorce_Men27/09/22 09:03 AM
2

They heard you had an awesome beard.
/r/Divorce_Men27/09/22 02:03 AM
11

Yeah we put up with a LOT of shit for our kids. My ex said I don’t have to pay her child support if I just walk away and change his last name. Fuck that. My little man is currently trying to put a French fry up my nose lol
/r/Divorce_Men26/09/22 04:41 PM
16

Wonder if that’s why they’re trolling our board. They think we’re a bunch of lonely guys desperate for attention lol
/r/Divorce_Men26/09/22 04:37 PM
20

My 2nd marriage was an absolute shit show. We got married because she was pregnant and then kicked me out of the house a few months after our son was born. Be careful.
/r/Divorce_Men26/09/22 03:57 PM
4

And more than likely cheating while they were engaged. This dude never stood a chance.
/r/Divorce_Men25/09/22 06:02 PM
3

Truth! My ex told me how amazing I was during her pregnancy and birth. And then 3 months after our son was born she kicked me out. I’m still shocked anyone could treat somebody like that.
/r/Divorce_Men25/09/22 03:30 PM
3

Yeah you don’t know what a healthy relationship is until you’ve experienced an unhealthy one.
/r/Divorce_Men23/09/22 11:09 PM
7

Unfortunately most guys have to learn the hard way.
/r/Divorce_Men23/09/22 09:45 PM
10

If my ex marries her new BF that will be her 3rd marriage and she’s only 32, and this is his first serious relationship. They moved in together after a few months. He’s so fucked.
/r/Divorce_Men22/09/22 11:24 PM
13

These guys have no idea what they’re getting themselves into. Not only does he have a constant reminder seeing my child, he also has to hear his wife talk about her ex all of the time. Why do these guys stick around? Why settle for that situation?
/r/Divorce_Men22/09/22 10:16 PM

You realize this is the divorced Men’s page right?
/r/Divorce_Men14/09/22 07:20 PM

For most women it is
/r/Divorce_Men14/09/22 06:36 PM

I got banned from the coparenting sub for calling someone out for wanting to move far away from their kids. I would never move away from my children, blows my mind that’s even an option for some people.
/r/Divorce_Men01/09/22 03:59 AM
2

It really is disappointing. In what world would moving away from your family benefit the children? I guess my kids are lucky I’ll always be here.
/r/Divorce_Men25/08/22 11:38 PM
0

Dude what the fuck are you talking about? That might possibly be the worst take I’ve ever seen on this board. I award you no points sir…
/r/Divorce_Men25/08/22 11:36 PM
1

Sounds like you’re trying to convince yourself, but I’ll always be there for my kids.
/r/Divorce_Men25/08/22 11:00 PM
5

Exactly what I was going to say. They’ll always need their dad even when they’re teenagers. I never understand parents who voluntarily move away from their children. In my opinion nothing could possibly be more important.
/r/Divorce_Men25/08/22 08:40 PM
7

Oh religion strikes again with the guilt trips and the judgements
/r/Divorce_Men18/08/22 12:35 PM
3

Wish I had put that in the agreement. She brought her boyfriend around my son within a few weeks. Every time she tries to tell me our son is her number 1 priority I remind her how disappointed I am with her decisions. Not to mention she lied about it for months until I put the pieces together. And her boyfriend doesn’t know a god damn thing about kids, it’s so cringe worthy.
/r/Divorce_Men13/08/22 04:13 PM

I love being single! My ex is already in another serious relationship and I’m not jealous at all. Fuck that nonsense!!
/r/Divorce_Men13/08/22 02:40 PM
6

Men are suppose to be able to take criticism but women get triggered anytime you mention anything they don’t want to hear.
/r/Divorce_Men08/08/22 08:04 PM
3

So we’re just assuming every woman is like that? I mean it’s not far fetched. I made a comment on another board and I’m being attacked by all these women.
/r/Divorce_Men08/08/22 07:54 PM
2

Jesus man that’s just fucking cruel. My ex withheld our son for 4 months when he was a newborn. What is wrong with these women?!?
/r/Divorce_Men08/08/22 03:25 PM
2

Holy shit man that’s awful. If your ex is like this your kids are going to need you even more when they’re older. Stay strong and keep fighting!!

Ugh luckily I’m in a 2 party consent state.
/r/Divorce_Men05/08/22 01:45 PM

That’s tough and I feel so bad for the people who still have to live together. It’s impossible to heal when you have a constant reminder. Deep breaths man you’ll get through this!
/r/Divorce_Men05/08/22 12:40 AM
10

Amen brotha!! She dragged her feet the entire time. Used me as a nanny when she needed coverage and ignored my requests for overnights. Some people just don’t care about anyone but themselves.
/r/Divorce_Men05/08/22 12:30 AM
2

When things are overwhelming remember your kids need their dad. And don’t forget to take care of yourself in the process! Go out and meet people and reconnect with yourself. Your divorce is not your identity!! Learn from this experience and grow from it.
/r/Divorce_Men04/08/22 10:02 PM
5

People like that are never happy. My ex already moved her boyfriend in after a few months of dating. It’s really hard but try not to show any emotion and don’t show her how hurt you are. People like that get off on your misery. Good luck man stay strong!!
/r/Divorce_Men04/08/22 06:53 PM
7

It sounds like she’s angry and bitter and taking it out on you because it’s easy. My ex tried to use scare tactics as well but it’s all bullshit. You have just as many rights as she does. I wouldn’t wait another minute and see what a lawyer says, especially about voluntarily sending 1k a month. Your kindness won’t get you anywhere but walked all over. She needs to start taking you seriously.
/r/Divorce_Men04/08/22 06:41 PM

I thought I would post some positivity to the board.

My ex is very controlling. I gave her way too many chances to work with me but she couldn’t. It’s unfortunate I had to get lawyers involved but it was the only way she would take me seriously.

Good advice. I have my hands full with my ex but I’ve never backed down from a fight. Problem is I’m a people pleaser and that’s why I put this off longer than I should have. Definitely going to watch Tangled, I’ve never seen that one before.

Unfortunately I’ve been dealing with her narcissism for a few years now. She’s just not use to me standing up for myself. Honestly I don’t think anyone has stood up to her and she doesn’t know what to do.

My solicitor isn’t trying to get into texts and all that bullshit. I have a 10 year old as well and have a great relationship with him and his mother. He said that’s the focus. Let her be the petty one who brings up texts from 2 years ago. But I did send him some screen shots just in case it helps.

Yeah man count your blessings! I look at it this way… my son has a narcissist mother and he is really going to need me in his life if he has any chance of being a good person. Teaching him things like compassion and affection. Dealing with these kinds of people really opens your eyes. But I would recommend therapy because it’s hard to realize how much these people damage us.

I meant to say appalling, not appealing but you get my point. You cannot show compassion or vulnerability around this person. You cannot have a “heart to heart” because there’s no reasoning with a narcissist. NONE. Don’t even try. I’ve been there done that trust me it just causes more stress. My ex just sent me a text saying she’s “allowing” me 4 hours a week with my son after I’ve been seeing him 3 days a week for over 6 months. They don’t value anyone but themselves. DM me if you want to chat …

I agree 100% taking accountability means you’re growing as a person. Just DON’T do it around her anymore. She will NEVER own a single shitty thing she’s done and will convince you it’s all your fault. Especially if you’re giving her reasons by apologizing for your part. They use that as fuel on their fire. I’m going through it right now with my ex. She just found out I’m taking her to court for 50/50 and she proceeds to take away my visits this week to go down to the beach with her BF. For compa…

I’m sorry to say this but she’s likely with another guy. Narcissists will line someone up before leaving a relationship.

These people tend to bring out the worst in us, and then blame us for getting upset. Don’t fall for that bullshit. The fact that you walked away at all deserves a round of applause regardless of what you said beforehand

Mine is only 2 and he really likes this guy. This fucking sucks.

He got himself a new family overnight.

That was toughest thing I’ve ever had to do. My son really likes this guy and that crushes my heart. He had to tell my son to “go say bye to daddy” when I left. Not going to lie I’m crying my eyes out right now.

I’m sure he’s decent, but also very naive. He’s 26 and has absolutely zero experience with kids. Seems like another doormat for my ex. I almost feel bad for this guy.

I’m at the point where I would like to get to know the guy who’s spending so much time around my 2 year old. A quick hello doesn’t do much for me.

Thanks man! I finally put all the pieces together and it makes so much sense! For a while I was nervous about going to court for custody, but now I’m looking forward to it. Having a judge determine the outcome sounds much better. She’s going to find out next week and I can’t wait to see her reaction. Maybe that’s petty but it’s been a long time coming. Appreciate you! Take care.

So nothing will ever change with our ex’s? We just learn how to deal with their bullshit? Now she’s dating a 26 year old and they spend a lot of time with my 2 year old. She keeps telling me the baby is her priority but that’s bullshit. I almost feel bad for the guy, she’s so good at tricking people into thinking she’s so great. But I’m finally realizing trying to communicate with her is pointless. You think I should worry about her with the baby?

Damn this hit home. I searched the word ‘narcissist’ and came across your post. Just filed for 50/50 custody with a narcissist ex wife. I let her walk all over me for way too long! How’s everything going with you now?

Seems like a really shitty tactic and everything should get dropped eventually. Don’t give her a god damn penny and let your lawyer do the thinking.

And that’s why our ex’s will continue to make the same mistakes, no accountability. Mine isn’t even 32 and will likely be married for a 3rd time within a year. But yeah I’m the asshole 🙄
/r/Divorce_Men05/06/22 12:32 PM

You can now directly communicate with your daughter without having to talk to your ex. Sounds like a win.

It’s easier for her to point and say “see look he’s a worthless asshole”. They really can’t stand to see us happy without them around. And it KILLS her how close me and my son have become. I call him my little shadow.

Same here. She’s been seeing this guy for 6 months and they play family with my 2 year old. But the minute I started talking about seeing someone she started acting different. Telling me our son isn’t allowed to meet her. You can’t make this shit up, she’s so controlling… but not for long.
/r/Divorce_Men04/06/22 07:41 PM

Exactly! She wants him to give up. My ex told me I wouldn’t have to pay her child support if I just signed over my custody to her. These women are bat shit crazy.

Maybe find a way to record your interactions? It might not be pleasant but at least you’ll be protected.

My ex is jumping right into another serious relationship. It will be her 3rd marriage and she just turned 32. She loves to blame everyone else and this new guy is only 26 and has ZERO experience with kids. Oh and we have a 2 year old who is having issues with talking. Oy vey!! But our son is definitely her main priority 🤦🏻‍♂️

I don’t want to say it’s specific to women, but after my divorce I learned how evil people can truly be. And that scares me for my future relationships.

Hopefully you and your ex can work things out. As much as we don’t get along she’s usually pretty good about splitting our time. Good luck man!

Damn that’s tough. I couldn’t imagine leaving the area. I was able to move in with family and do part time jobs so I can focus on my boys. People might judge but I don’t care. For Mother’s Day I got a soft “mom” blanket that she loves. I want to see if he gets jealous lol
/r/Divorce_Men14/05/22 03:38 PM

That’s tough. I think a lot of these guys think they’re the “white knight” coming to save her from the horrible evil ex husband. It’s hysterical how they become the victims. Meanwhile I’m an amazing father and I’m not going anywhere. Actions speak louder than words
/r/Divorce_Men14/05/22 03:18 PM

Let me guess, he’s never been married and doesn’t have any kids. These naive guys think they met the “one”. Meanwhile my ex has now been divorced twice and has a young child. Seems so fucking cliche. Oh and he’s a cop and I found out he brings his weapon in the house. I know that’s not a huge deal but it rubs me the wrong way and I wasn’t too happy. But but but our son is her #1 priority…. please

I think I’m a better parent 3 days a week to be honest. I wasn’t good with babies but once my boys were a little older I’m an amazing father. I spend so much time with my 2 year old and I crush that shit when I see him. 7 days a week was a little overwhelming for me as well. And I was judged heavily for it.
/r/Divorce_Men10/05/22 11:17 PM

Seriously, I have so many friends in their late 30’s who have never had a serious relationship and that’s really sad. We have found women before and, when we’re ready, we will find another one. At least now we know what to avoid.

My ex just brought some 26 year old into the picture and they hang around my 2 year old. This kid has no idea what he’s getting himself into. He doesn’t have any kids and has never been married. I almost feel bad for him.
