You're not even making sense bro. What the hell is a "dormant state"? Do you think that all the men in this thread deny having a libido? Do you think they deny having sexual attraction? Do you think they deny having looked at another person and finding them sexually attractive? I literally can't discuss anything with you because you're ranting against 5 different bogeymen you've made up in your head and mashing them into one. Good day.

The reason I said that is because you aren't really clear about what you're angry about. Your rant seems to be against four or five different things you're treating as one single issue. Are you "pushing back" at how not everything is sexualised nowadays? Because that would be quite entitled - the internet has no shortage of sexualised content and communities that digest said content. Are you "pushing back" at how people feel dehumanised if everything around them is sexualised? Then you aren't ev…

It’s like you literally just read the first line of my first post. I’ll give you a hint - casual sex doesn’t equal objectification. Banging someone and then never talking to them again is not the same as treating them as a sex object. And honestly I can’t even tell if you’re still ranting about “objectification” or if you’re salty about being unable to find casual sex at this stage.

I’m sorry you feel that way, but most people still treat their mechanics as people.

you'd be hard pressed to meet someone in an English speaking nation that didn't think it was a horrible sin for a man to look at sexually and approach a woman entirely for sex. Citation needed tbh. Nobody frowns upon casual hookups. The problem is how you treat the person. There is a difference between “not really interacting with the car mechanic who changes your oil”, and “actively treating them like a vending machine that gives you engine oil in return for money”. The former isn’t objectifica…

Your framing is a bit misleading: What is wrong with being nice to have sex? what is the theoretical justification for why niceness cannot be predicated on any form of return on investment, including sexual acts? There are "nice people" and "nice actions". Your questions specifically concern "being nice" or "niceness [of a person]". In other words, your questions are meaningless, because you can't "BE a nice person" or "have niceness" unless your actions are primarily motivated by someone else's…

I don’t know why it leads to that, I don’t know why “but” needs to be used. If anything, framing it in terms of desirability is what would cause people to have negative feelings about themselves.

“Masculine” traits are the traits society finds most desirable in males. For example, many women are attracted to men who over-index on these traits. “Feminine” traits are the traits society finds most desirable in females. For example, many men are attracted to women who over-index on these traits. Rather than "traits society finds most desirable in males/females", I would probably just say "traits that society has noticed more in males/females, than in females/males". Because framing it in ter…

a) Altruism is self-contingent, colloquially known as "nice to be nice", which is something that I'm not convinced is true at all, there's nothing in the real, existing, universe that is self-contingent, everything is dependent on a cause that precedes it, therefore altruism must be caused by a preceding cause. Which makes "nice to nice" a nonsensical statement, really. Let me see if I can frame this in a way you would understand and agree with. —- There are two kinds of people - people who do n…

Remember when you said Any major that is not heavily rooted in mathematics is not really a STEM major. That is, if you don't have multiple classes where >50% of the exam is all math based questions where you do nothing but respond to a question with one or two pages of derivations, you are not in a STEM major. No, because you didn't.
