1	Does anyone here have experience with a grey/gray divorce? My kids had some skin in the game, each was responsible for about $5k per year. Most worked summers to keep the debt to an absolute minimum. After speaking with the attorney I dont need her to have a good job and with my income she doesnt see the need to look that hard. 3	Does anyone here have experience with a grey/gray divorce? Spoke to an atty today. You are correct on the division of assets & liabilities. No alimony he stated unless she has mental or physical disabilities. May have to pay spousal support if she's under or unemployed but he told me he hasnt seen any women get spousal support for more than 3 years. Basically said it comes down to how quickly you want the process over. Want it over quickly may have to give up 55 percent of the assets/liabilities. 1	I need advice on money from a divorced man If you expect to get decent advice you're going to have to give at least an estimate of the 401k and real estate equity value. Hard to say with what you have here if $15k is enough to walk away. That being said, if you don't need the money and this gets you out the door - relatively unscathed it would be tempting. 11	It's disheartening, but it seems that most affairs happen between colleagues. The corporate environment has strained and broken many marriages. Is it really unreasonable for a man in an already rocky marriage to feel uneasy about his wife starting a new job? I dont understand it. It was drilled into my head more than three decades ago - don't shit where you eat. I had a new female employee start and immediately started chatting with one of my production workers. 9	Finally choosing myself Her behavior is unlikely to change for the better if you stay. I stayed with the idea that I'd file after the youngest graduated university, after some ridiculous accusations and arguments cost me my SVP role. 3	Just got served No kids? You'll be fine. It'll take time but you'll recover. No kids means its a basic assets and debts equation. Be thankful you've gotten to see the real person behind the facade she showed you before you incurred 18 yrs of cs. You'll be better off in the long run having gone through this. 1	Just got hit with the “i want a divorce” how should i feel rn I've been getting threatened with that for 35ish years. Does she mean it or is it an angry threat that she'll not apoligize for and hope you don't remember? Do you have kids together? If not, you have to decide if this is behavior you can live with or not. If not, get a lawyer. 1	Ex wife is asking that I make my daughter the beneficiary of my life insurance, pension and annuity. What if I have more kids? Generally speaking you will have to update your benefieciary list on all life ins, pension, and annuities. It's usually pretty straightforward. I didn't get a chance to speak with my business attorney, too much going on. I'll email him tomorrow. I'm going to meet with an attorney and find out what steps I need to take.
